loving family

It was Sunday morning, Kai, and Taehyun decided to go out. It's been a stressing week for them.

"Tyunie, can you tell me about yourself? And your family, if you.. don't mind.." the younger suddenly asks. Taehyun gave him a bright smile, "sure!" The elder responses, giving him a quick kiss.

"You're a disgrace to this family, Taeha!" A man sternly shouted, which made the boy flinch.

Taehyun, the boy, was peeking at his mother's door. He noticed that his mother was down these days.

"I told you, leave the child, and that guy now!" His grandfather added, pulling Taeha— his mother's hair. Taeha didn't speak, move nor reacted. She stayed still despite the harsh treatment.

"You are a disgrace to Jang family. Everyone in our family would never fall in love with their rival!" The man added, Taehyun stayed silent as well. He didn't knew that his "good" grandfather has this side.

"I told you father, I'm not leaving him, them." Taeha answered after a long minutes of silence. The elder was taken a back to the answer.

Taeha stood up, "fine, disown me, trash me, but not my family. I'd rather give up my family title than to stay at this hellhole." She stated, sternly. Her eyes not leaving his father's face.

Taehyun on the other side, felt guilty, but at the same time is touched.

"Good bye, father." Taeha's last word before walking towards the door.

Taehyun immediately dashed to his room, he knew his mother would be worried if she knew that he heard the conversation.

"Taehyun?" His mother called, lovingly. Taehyun was already packing his things, he placed the aside so his mother won't notice them.

"Yes, mama?" He responded.

Taeha entered the room, then sat beside Taehyun who is sitting at his bed.

"We're leaving grandpa's house." Taeha speaks, frowning. Taehyun had made so much memories inside the house, nevertheless, he nodded.

"Alright mama!" Taehyun beamed, smiling at his mother. Taeha smiled as well, pulling Taehyun into a hug.

"After we left, we stayed at papa's house along with his family." Taehyun shares, looking at his lap.

Him, and Kai sat below the tree, Kai listening to him, Taehyun storytelling.

"Papa loves mama so much, he loved him even more when he knew what happened. Until now, mama thinks that I don't know what happened 11 years ago." Taehyun added, giggling. Kai nodded, his eyes never leaving Taehyun.

"But you know, I don't really care what happened that time, because I know papa loves mama, and they'll be happy without others' help," The elder smiled, eyes locking with Kai's.

The younger smiled as well, which made Taehyun's heart jump. Kai's smile is one of the best thing he sees everyday.

"Our anniversary is coming, do you have any.. plans..?" Taehyun asks, Kai smiled at him, a smile that he saw just now.

"A secret," Kai giggles, which quite scared, and made Taehyun excited.

The younger swiftly jumps to the elder, making the two of them stumble to the ground.

"Hey!" Taehyun chuckles while Kai plants kisses everywhere on his face.

They didn't mind people around since there wasn't much. There are just birds, chirping.

As minutes passed by, Kai decided to lay down beside Taehyun.

"What do you want to do after college?" Kai asks, his eyes locking at Taehyun again. The elder looked at him, smiling.

"I want to build a bakery." Taehyun replied, shifting closer to Kai. The younger nods, smiling.

"I want to be a pilot. It's a life-long dream of mine." Kai shared, earning a surprised reaction from Taehyun.

His lover's reaction made him laugh. Well, he never had a chance to tell him his dream.

Taehyun hovered over him, pressing his weight against Kai's body under him.

"Let's reach our dreams together!" Taehyun beamed, connecting their lips together.

Kai was surprised at the action, but reacted afterwards.

"You're home!" A familiar voice greeted Taehyun.

As the latter looked at the person, it was none other than his father.

Kai just smiled, thinking that this may be Taehyun's father. He needs to make a good impression.

"Papa! You're home!" Taehyun sprinted towards his father, jumping into a hug. Father Kang smiles, hugging his youngest son.

Mother Kang walks beside Kai, "that's his father, Sangwoo." She informed, Kai nods as an acknowledgment.

Taehyun's father is handsome, no wonder the three of them is so fine.

"Oh, who is this fine gentleman? Must be my son's boyfriend?" Sangwoo— Taehyun's father jokes, making Taehyun flustered.

"Ah honey, you're making the child embarrassed." Mother Kang says, making father Kang chuckle.

"Hi, I'm Huening Kai.. your son's boyfriend," Kai smiled, making father Kang smile as well.

"See! I told you honey, they are so cute together." Father Kang stated, voice laced with gentleness. "Nice to meet you, Kai! Ah, my son's all grown up," Father Kang jokingly sniffles, making Yeosang, Daniel, Kai, and Taeha laugh.

"Well, come in Kai! Let's eat lunch. I'd like to ask so much!" Father Kang invites.

Taehyun was raised into a loving, and understanding family. Kai was a bit jealous, he never experienced feeling warmth from his family.

As he was about thinking of family, the sudden thought of his father makes him scared.

"Will he comeback again? Will he become more bolder than ever, and might lead into severity?"

Kai thought as he walks inside the house. Taehyun notices his lover's sudden silence.

"Is something bothering you, love?" Taehyun asks, intertwining their hands.

"I'm okay, don't worry," Kai smiled, placing a quick peck at the elder's lips.

Taehyun didn't believed, but nodded.

"Do you know Kai? When Taehyun was young, he used to play with exotic animals!" Father Kang shared, making Kai smile.

The lunch went great, Sangwoo telling his stories, Taeha hissing at him for being too blunt, and the youngsters laughing for Sangwoo's bluntness.

Afternoon came, Sangwoo, and Taeha decided to went out. On the other hand, Daniel going to the university, and Yeosang going out with his friends.

Taehyun, and Kai was left there, chatting about their pasts, dreams, and embarrassing moments.

The two of them were at the living room, Kai resting at Taehyun's chest, the elder playing with his hair.

"Kai, about earlier, why were you down?" Taehyun asks, changing their topic. Kai fell into silence, he doesn't want to burden Taehyun with his feelings, but he couldn't keep it from him as well.

"Just- just remember my father.. I'm scared.. scared that he might do something again.." Kai shares, burying his face at Taehyun's stomach.

As Taehyun fell silent, Kai quickly faced him, "but- but, don't worry, just need a little bit of rest. I'll think of my own plan soon, not just now." Kai added, panicking.

"No need to panic, I was just waiting for you to share more. Pour your emotions to me." Taehyun assured, bringing their faces together.

The elder looked at his eyes, "don't be scared, I'm always here, always on your side." Taehyun gently says. Kai nodded, closing his eyes.

The elder connected their lips together, letting Kai devour him, as always.

As they parted, Kai smiled at him.

"Than—", "nope. Shhh shh," Taehyun placing a finger on Kai's lips.

"It's part of the relationship, no need to thank me." Taehyun added, smiling at him brightly.

And there, Kai knew he loves him dearly. The man who understands him the most, the man who is always there for him— the man he loves.
