<The next day>

I'm currently preparing myself and picking outfits.

The fateful day has come.

I'm going to meet everyone at last!! Gosh, I'm so excited! I can't wait to see Aoi, Tenma and Shindou-Senpai, and the others especially Kariya! I wanna learn the unique ways of messing with people from that devious person. I smiled to myself, thinking of possible scenarios in my head.

I'm also wondering on how everyone looks like. It's been months since I've met my childhood friends so I really missed them so much! Hm, the others...Fei, Kariya, and Kirino-san! Let's guess. Fei's the one with orange spiky hair and has brown eyes? IDK.

I'm pretty bad at guessing people's appearance that I met online, so I'll just find out later.

There's one person I really want to talk to and meet but at the same time, I don't want to. I told Shindou-san I WAS curious about Tsurugi but I just shake it off because I already know his attitude. It's obvious in the chat logs; he's a prick and you can't talk to him without pissing yourself. He might just ignore me too! I hate that idea...

I think he's the kind of person that will bully you with just his eyes and judge your whole humanity with that one bad thing you did, and he will always remind you that only to embarrass you. I shuddered at the idea. Is he a delinquent? No, he's surprisingly and actually a professional talker when the topic is about the games, messenger, hacking, coding, numbers and algorithms, and strategies! Except for a few cusses. He's very skilled, it's just his personality that throws me off.

His appearance too! I never saw him in person so I'm really wondering how he looks like. I remembered what my mom said back then. A person's looks reflect the person's behavior and vice versa. I'm pretty sure he's not attractive.

Ahh!! Enough with these! I've been staring at nowhere for so long! Lemme just take a bath and get ready for our meeting!!

<Time Skip 9:00am>

I was walking to the gaming café when I saw Tenma, Aoi, and some person they're talking to. Oh God, they're really here!

"Tenma, Aoi! Over here!" I called and waved at them.

"Oh my gosh, (Y/N)!" Aoi came over and we hugged.

"Aoi! It's nice to meet you again! It's been so long."

"Yeah, I know. We really missed you. How's life?"

"Almost hellish, but I'm managing. How about you Tenma?"

"I'm fine. I continued being a soccer captain until now. I'll continue to do so once we graduate in spring. Hahah." He cheerfully replied.

"I can't believe how you balanced your studies and soccer." I sighed.

"And he's gaming too," Added Aoi.

"Amazingggg."

"I've trained my fighting spirit to be this strong! Handwork is always the key." Tenma said, "Anyway (Y/N), this is Rune Fei, a friend of ours."

"Oh, glad to meet you (Y/N)." Fei waved a hello.

"Glad to meet you too, Fei. So... you're their college friend?"

"Yes. I started as Tenma's dorm mate in our freshman years, and I got dragged with his group because we like the same things. Soccer and online games. I don't play soccer as much as Tenma does now because I had to focus on my studies."

"I see. I had the same experience last year, now I'm loosening up for my upcoming last semester."

"Wait, so are we graduating at the same period?"

"Perhaps! That'll be fun!"

"But first, we must help the admins in this hacker fiasco. We still have time because it's our long summer break."

We laughed until someone entered the gaming café. The first one has a brown wavy hair that is ponytailed at the back. That's Shindou-senpai! He had grown really older. The other one has a pink hair with 2 long pigtails on the sides. I'm assuming its Tsurugi hahahah!!

"Shindou-senpai! Kirino-senpai!" Tenma called.

Okay, I'm wrong. It's Kirino-kun, but I never expected that he'll look so *ehem* girlish.

"Oh, Tenma. You're here. Where're the others?" Shindou asked.

"We're still waiting for them though, senpai."

"Wait," Kirino spoke. "I guess you're (Y/N), right?"

"Yeah! And you're Kirino-senpai! Nice to meet you!" I replied.

"Me too."

"Well, it's been a while, (Y/N). Nice to meet you again." Shindou said.

"Nice to meet you too, senpai!"

"The remaining members we've been waiting for are Kariya and Tsurugi then," Fei stated.

"Maybe Kariya is busy making fun and pranking everyone near him that he forgot our meeting."

"Hahah, maybe..." I stifled a laugh.

"U-Uhm... (Y/N)... " Aoi trailed.

"Huh? What is it?"

Everyone's suddenly looking at my shoulder. Wait, why are they looking at my shoulder? Is there a speck of dirt or what?

Then, I felt something drop on my shoulder... it's fucking crawling...is this a critter...damn. I looked at it and I saw a black spider crawling to my face.

"WHAT THE FUCK SPIDER GET THAT AWAY FROM ME!!!" I screamed in shock.

As fast as I could, I flung it away from my shoulder and shifted my seat near to Aoi. She looks terrified too lol. Fuck that spider, where did it from?!

The spider landed on Tenma's head. Poor Tenma.

"Tenma...easy...." Shindou said, trying to make Tenma calm.

"1...2..." Aoi counted.

"WWWAAHHH!! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF FOR GOD'S SAKEJDBWKDBSKVSKDV"

Kirino flung the spider on Tenma's head and the critter ran away. Wheu. You know? Tenma is afraid of arachnids. Arachnophobia maybe?

Then, we heard a burst of loud laughter behind Fei's seat. Someone is laughing his ass on the floor.

"Kariya..."

"HAHAHAHAHAH!! THOSE FACES HAHAHAHAHAH!! THEY'RE FUNNY I CAN'T BREATHE HELP ME HAHAHAH!" He said between laughs.

Kirino kicked his ass, "Ssshh! Quiet down! The owner will kick us out if we're noisy!"

"Here is the k i l l j o y..." The prankster groaned.

"Killjoy your ass. Get up."

"DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN." Tenma and I said in unison.

"Okay okay. I'll just do that to the other people." He said with a smirk.

"Anyhow, Kariya, have you seen Tsurugi?" Shindou asked.

"Nope."

"Wait, you said that he's the best in the group right? How come? He's younger than you senpai." I questioned.

"Don't know either." He shrugged.

"Hah, maybe he used cheats or MODs or whatnots in gaming. Or maybe he paid a real pro gamer to pretend to be him and play with you in order to make you believe that he's proooooo hah!"

"(Y/N), he des-"

"I fucking despise cheats and other tools to hack games. And, I may be rich but that doesn't mean that I paid someone to pretend to be me. Everyone saw my skills and experiences, so better shut your mouth." A boy said in a cold voice.

And guess who's that boy? Tsurugi. He just appeared behind me while I'm talking about him.

I looked at my back and saw the person I'm referring to be a prick. And it's really true. That cold-blooded gamer of all.

"So? Are you going to stand there or get out of my way?"

"Worry..." I apologize.

He sighed and sat next to Shindou. I also sighed, getting back to my seat. I didn't know that this Tsurugi is really really mean. Ugh!

"You know Tsurugi, that's pretty mean! You just met her and you reacted to her like that? How rude! You could've gone easy on her, you just met!" Shindou whispered to him but I could still hear him.

"I don't care," Tsurugi answered.

He lacks social education.

"Well, since we're complete, can we go now to our gaming hq?" Tenma asked and looks at Tsurugi.

The man just shrugged.

"I think that's yes? Okay. Let's go!"

Everyone one of us stood up and started walking to their gaming base. I'm walking behind because, you know, I'm freaking out of place. I sighed again.

"Hey..." Someone called me.

When I saw him, I narrowed my eyes. "What do you want?"

"I wanted to apologize for what I did a minute ago. I know it's classless, so...I ... apologize. I'm sorry, it's my mistake."

Wow, I thought this person doesn't know how to apologize, but I'm happy.

"It's okay. It's also my fault, I jokingly assumed that you were fake, I'm sorry too."

"That's alright. Forget it."

We continued to walk and I noticed that he's fucking tALl. I think I'm just the height of his shoulder. I feel so small. Why I have to be so short?! I wanted to walk with Aoi instead of him. I'm height concious lololol.

I regret not taking vitamins and sleeping early when I was in puberty, curse the school requirements I had to do every night!

It's alright, I'm 5'3, and he's approximately 5'10 or above. He's just tall... he's tall...

"Don't be conscious of your height," Tsurugi said.

What. Did he hear me.

"I'm not."

"In denial. You think I didn't notice you've been glancing at me from my head to feet?"

WHY DID HE HAVE TO HEAR THAT.

"So what?" I raised my eyebrow, not budging.

"You know, short girls are meant to be with tall boys." He said with a smirk.

I blushed because of his statement. What is he pointing out?

"W...what d-do you mean?" God, I stuttered. Why did I?!

"Didn't you understand me?" His expression changed back to blank. "I was trying to make you feel better. I guess I worded it wrong. Let me try again."

"Alright..."

I repeated my action before he said the line he wanted to rephrase and raised my eyebrow, "So what?"

He finally looked at me when he realized that I went along with him. "I do not care about your height."

"What?"

"You might feel insecure about your height, but not many people actually pay attention. It doesn't matter. Whether you're short or taller than me, I don't mind."

I slowly smiled. It wasn't really what I expected to hear, but I guess my height doesn't matter so much.

"Thanks. It did make me feel less conscious."

"That's good."

We walked a bit more and only air passed between us, but then, he spoke, "Did you think in my first try, that I was that tall guy I was talking about?"

"HUH?!?"

It took me a few incoherent words and sounds to think of a decent reply, "O-Of course not! The nerve! What makes you think you're my type?! You're not even within my standards! I-I'm pretty sure there are taller and more handsome guys around..."

He only chuckled a bit, "Right."

"What are you laughing at?"

"Aren't you too flustered?"

"Shut up!!" I exclaimed, but I remembered something that I should've done earlier.

"Wait, I wasn't able to properly introduce myself!" I blurted out. I might have startled him a little.

We stopped our tracks as I made a statement.

"I'm (L/N) (Y/N). I'm currently a college senior with a hobby of reading and gaming. My favorites include role playing games such as genshin impact and final fantasy, but I enjoy wide variety. It's nice to meet you!"

"I'm Tsurugi Kyousuke, a college senior with a hobby of learning how to hack and gaming. I like military and moba games like call of duty, rules of survival, and league of legends, although I am not picky in genres. It's nice to meet you too."

We bowed at each other and continued to walk. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.

Shindou, who was ahead of the group, glanced at the pair at the back and smiled. "I'm glad they're getting along now."
