POV Peter

Peter: *thinking* Bad day, very bad day.

As I'm swinging home (though I don't want to) alot of thoughts are running through my head.

For one thing, the Avengers have invited me to join them as an actual member (even though Fury is the only one that knows my actual age).

Another thought is the fact that one of my best friends (who I had a crush on) is dating my bully... Great.

My third thought is the fact that another of my best friends went to England for a month (bad timing, Ned) starting today. What's more, he wants me to tell him how the confession went... Oh boy, I am not gonna like having to tell him the bad news...

And finally, there's the problem with my aunt. She has started to get physical now whenever she's drunk (which is almost all the time now). Luckily I have enough now to move out to a small apartment now. Now I just gotta break it to her without her throwing another bottle at me...

As I'm nearing the house, my spider sense started reacting to something. It's the first time that this has happened as my spider sense only activates when something is a threat to me. I stop on a lamppost and look around, not seeing anything. However, I did hear something.

Voice: "HELP! MOMMY! DADDY!"

As soon as I heard that, I rushed over to where the voice is. As I got closer, I could hear other voices as well.

Voice 2: "GOD DAMNIT, JACKSON! SHUT THAT KID UP BEFORE SOMEONE HEARS HER!"

Jackson(?): "Ah it's fine, her parents are already taken care of, plus the Avengers are nowhere near here. Who could possibly save this brat anyway."

So, these types work in areas where the Avengers aren't usually in, huh... Good to know.

Getting right above one of them, I shoot a web onto a lamppost and lower myself down until I'm next to one. Once I'm low enough, I let my presence be known.

Spider Man: *uses voice changing equipment in mask* "... Isn't it too early for Halloween, bub?"

The three jump out of fear, I guess thinking I was an Avenger or someone else. Getting a closer look, these guys look like Fisk's men. As for the kidnappe, she seems afraid... Am I really that scary?

Thug: "Shit! It's Spider Guy!"

Spider Man: * jumps down* "That's Spider Man! I swear, do I need to have a name tag or something like that?"

The three thugs start shooting at me, though luckily they are bad shots, as I jump away before the bullets got near me. After dodging, I shoot a web string at two of them before yanking them out of their hands. Seeing this, the third one runs at the girl, but I quickly throw a web at their feet, keeping them still. Afterwards, I tie up the three thugs before calling the police.

Small Time Skip

Officee: "Thank you for your hard work, Spider Man."

Spider Man: "You're welcome, officer."

Officer: *turns to the girl* "Now, young lady, do you have anyone else to stay with?"

She shakes her head no. Wait, she doesn't have anyone else? And her parents are "Taken care of"? Then that'll mean-

Officer: *sighs* "Very well. This means you'll have to come with me. I'll help you find a good orphanage."

The officer reaches out to the girl, however she quickly runs to hide behind me.

Spider Man: "Uhh, actually..." *The officer turns to Spider Man* "If it's ok with her, instead of having her go to an orphanage, how about I adopt her?"

Officer: *looks confused while the girl looks at Spider Man with pleading eyes* "are you sure? I mean, she's just a kid, are you able to take care of her?"

Spider Man: "of course I can. I'll take good care of the young lady." *Bends down to the little girl* "are you ok?"

The young girl nods. That's good, they didn't hurt her.

Spider Man: "What's your name?"

Girl: "... Rosa..."

Spider Man: "That's a wonderful name. Say, would you like it if I adopted you?"

Rosa: *looks at him* "... Are you sure?"

Spider Man: "Of course I am, why would I ask if I wasn't?"

The young girl then looks down at her feet before nodding yes. Ok, I just gotta fill out the paperwork then.

Finally, after getting it official (along with having to have my identity exposed), I was able to adopt her... Now what?...

After putting my phone away, I look at my new daughter.

Spider Man: "Ok Rosa, are you ready to meet your new family?"

Rosa: *nods shyly*

Spider Man: "Ok." *Picks her up* "Hold on tight."

After saying that, I shoot a web out to start swinging towards the tower, with Rosa laughing the whole time...
