19. Kousuke- Badass

(Requested)

__

Carrying a leather bangle and strapping it onto my neck, I straightened my leather jacket and fingerless gloves, checking my eyeliner. My boots clacked on the hard concrete as I made my way to my bike, calling Yeong-Gi on the phone.

"Hey, Yeong-Gi. Yeah, I'll be over in a sec. Love ya, bud." Hanging up, I slipped the phone into a pocket and revved up my bike, putting on a helmet, and started to putter my way to my friend's rather large apartment. Wind blew on my shirt, making it ripple as I sped along the busy roads, passing by people with a zoom.

I halted to a stop as I approached the Hirahara estate, the huge building towering over my figure, a shadow cast in the back. I turned around and squinted, the sun almost blinding me.

"It's about 4:00. I think I can go in and not stay for dinner if we're quick. If Yeong-Gi's mom insists though, I can't really weasel my way out of that," I thought, smoothing my hair back into place. "I didn't actually think that Yeong-Gi, of all given people would ask me to hang out with him. It's usually Soushi or Dieter, but at different locations. He absolutely hates it at his house." I kept my helmet with me, fixing my double ear piercing and cartilage ring.

I knocked on the door and rang once, standing and waiting for someone to answer.

"Who is it?" A gruff voice responded, sounding unhappy that there was an intruder on their property.

"(Y/N) (L/N). Yeong-Gi asked me to come over and accompany him." The door opened, revealing a very stoic male, a bit taller than me with raven hair and baby blue eyes. His expression didn't match his features at all, with a pulled up lip, his face displayed disgust and pity.

"Come in, but take off your shoes, if you please." I simply nodded, not wanting to engage in further conversation. I saw from the corner of my vision, the man eyeing my attire and rolling his eyes.

"That's quite rude." I felt him move as I turned my back towards him and unstrapped my boots.

"Rude of me to do what?"

"Everyone can express themselves. I choose to be like this. Do you find anything wrong with it?" I set my shoes on the floor, neatly next to my bike helmet. "Most people think that I'm a thug and avoid me. But I let them think that, because they at least leave me alone. But people like you really piss me off." Yeong-Gi emerged from his room after hearing the sound of the door shut.

"(Y/N)! You're here, come on up!" I gave him one last condescending, but icy look before bounding up the steps to meet my ginger friend.

"Was your brother always an asshat?" I asked, taking a drink of water. Yeong-Gi laughed and sat down next to me, wiping his neck with a towel.

"I mean, he's just cold to a lot of people, especially those he doesn't know, or doesn't like." I snorted and laid down on the bed, sighing.

"I fit in both of those categories, judging by my first impression."

"Nah, he'll warm up to you eventually. You're one of the more smart people. I think he admires that."

"As if." I took a strand of my hair and twisted it between by index finger and thumb, staring at the black and gold ceiling. Nol collapsed beside me, staring at the ceiling as well. We continued to point out certain aspects of our lives for the next two hours, laughing and chatting about how long and how good it has been.

"Nol, it's supper time- Oh, you." I sat up, hair slightly disheveled. Kousuke, as I learned from Yeong-Gi, stood at the door, hand still holding the brass handle.

"I think it's time for me to go, I lost track of time, sorry about that." I picked myself off of the couch and put my jacket back on. "It was great to be able to connect with you more, Yeong-Gi." I turned to Kousuke, smiling a bit.

"Thanks for having me. Weird introduction, but I swear, I'm not a mean person. Hope we can keep in touch, both of you." I walked out the door, slipping by Kousuke, and trotted down the stairs, kind of eager to get out.

"What's the rush?" a feminine voice cooed out. I turned around and was startled by what I saw. Did Kousuke just turn into a girl? Does this happen really frequently? Oh God, what is this household?

"I'm Yui Hirahara, you can call me Mrs. Hirahara. What is your name, dear?" My mind went blank for a second, brain cells scattered and trying to form a coherent sentence.

"(Y/N) (L/N). That's my name." I sounded to precocious, damn. "I was about to leave, so I wouldn't bother you for the rest of the day." The woman waved her hand and scoffed.

"Nonsense! My son's friend is always invited here. Do you have any plans tonight?" I pressed my lips into a thin line. Oh dear, oh dear.

"Not that I know of, no."

"Perfect! Why don't you join us for dinner, then?"

Well shit.

The dinnertable was quiet, everyone simply eating and getting their drinks refilled. The air was ominous, but I managed to make eye contact with Yeong-Gi.

"Is it always like this? It's so dismal," I mouthed, furrowing my eyebrows. He rolled his eyes and stifled a laugh.

"I'm afraid so, yeah." He shrugged his shoulders and kept on digging into the filet mignon. I kept a straight back, my rear not the least bit comfortable in these hard-ass seats. You'd think rich families like these would have comfortable seating.

"Kousuke, have you met (Y/N) yet? They're a darling, honestly." I forced a smile at Mrs. Hirahara. I knew she couldn't tell the difference.

"You're flatter me too much, Mrs. Kou- Hirahara." Inside I was panicking, the little people who ran my brain setting fire to everything, screaming in havoc.

"Oh, you're so well-mannered." I cringed a bit but still kept a smile, lifting my dish off the table and looking around for a sink to put it in.

"You can just hand the dish to our butler, (Y/N)." I almost screamed when a man appeared out of nowhere and handed a silver platter to me. I raised an eyebrow, shaking my head.

"I'm here to take the dish, sir/ma'am," they said, beckoning to the dirtied plate I held. I felt extremely stupid, quietly apologizing as I handed in the expensive porcelain.

"Thank you for having me at your house, Mrs. Hirahara. If it's okay with you, I will be leaving now." She nodded and waited until she swallowed her bite of food, turning to her son.

"Kousuke, would you be a dear and walk (Y/N) out?" He slowly got up and untucked his napkin, pushing out his chair and walking towards me. I looked towards Yeong-Gi and waved goodbye, grinning. He reciprocated the movement, and when I got out of view, he continued to eat.

The ravenette and I walked in silence until I got outside and kicked up the stop for my motorbike. Kousuke stared at me as I twisted the grip of the handle.

"One last thing before I go, Kousuke." His attention was completely on me.

"Let's keep in touch, okay? Yeong-Gi cleared up everything. Be a little more appreciative of your brother. He's a good guy." I handed him a slip of paper and put on my helmet, kicking off and driving away, leaving him alone, in the night accompanied by the sweet melody of crickets.

Kousuke looked at the piece of paper and allowed a small grin to surface as he saw a phone number, and a smiley-face.

Damn.
