Gym class has to be the worst class ever invented in the history of school. What's so good about it anyway? You get all sweaty and you play games you don't even care about. Really gym is for guys to show off to other guys on how manly they are, while the girls stand in the corner and talk about how hot the guys look.

I'm standing with my own group of friends, they each have there own boy there looking at except for Zera and I. Zera doesn't like any of the boys in class, for me I can't help, but like one of the Dragneel brothers. Lucy comes over and bumps me on the shoulder with her own. I look up at her and see her wink at me.

"What Lucy?"

"I see you like looking at a Zeref."

She point over to him, messing around with his brother Natsu. It was shirts against skins in a basketball game and lucky for me and most girls, both of them were on the skins team. That whole time of the game I don't think I stopped looking at him. Even when he wasn't playing and was off to the side, I was still watching him.

"Mavis!"

"What!"

Lucy laughs at me as I just pout to myself. The coach tells us to all hit the showers and change. I follow everyone in and hurry over to my locker to change. I want to get out of here as fast as possible so I can get a spot next to Zeref in our next class. I wave bye to all of my friends an exit the locker room. As I opened the door I hit something followed by a "ow"

I look around the corner and see Zeref holding his nose. Oh my gosh, what have I done.

"I'm so sorry."

"No, you're fine, I wasn't watching where I was going."

He moves his had away from his nose and thankfully there's no blood. I sigh to myself, but then remember he's standing right in front of me. He looks down at me and gives me his best smile ever, me on the other hand attempted to smile, but fair terribly.

"You were really in a hurry to get out of the locker room."

"Well, I'm just really excised to get to my next class, and I'm not gonna let this door stop me."

Mavis, shut up. I laugh awkwardly and start walking away from him, but he grabs my elbow cause me to turn an at him. He's never touched me before, well willing. It's always been when we pass papers back and we accidentally touch fingers. I start freaking out on the inside, but try to keep my cool on the outside.

"Uh, yeah Zeref. Do you need something?"

He gets wide eyes and let's go of me. He puts his hand behind his neck and starts rubbing it. I must be imagining things, but I swear I see him blushing.

"I-I was wondering...do you wanna walk to class together?"

Okay Mavis, just say something, you're standing there like an idiot.

"Yes." I say in high pitched voice.

"Really? I mean yeah okay."

Both of us start walking towards the exit if them gym. He opens the door for me and I walk out and he follows right after. As we walk towards class, all the girls have to say hi or try to give him their number and they completely ignore me or if they do see me, they give me some death stares.

We reach class and lucky for me there's two empty spots just waiting to be claimed by two people. Zeref goes and sets his stuff down and takes the first seat, I'm about to put my own stuff down, but something get's by me causing me to fall and land on butt.

"You should get out of the way next time."

I rub my backside and look up to see Ultear smirking at me. This person right in front of me is Ultear, Zeref's little fan. She's also one of the most popular girls in school. She puts her things down and take the seat right next to him.

"Hello Zeref, how are you today?"

"Uh, it's fine, M-Mavis are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Don't worry about it."

I get to my feet and take the seat right behind them. Once again I'm forced to watch Ultear hit on Zeref and get all touchy feely with him. I lay my head on the table and groan to myself on how stupid and slow I was on taking that seat. During the whole class period she touch his arm and comment on how muscular he was and do her girly little laugh. After she do that she glance over at me and smirk once again.

The bell rings and I start packing up my stuff. Zeref turns around and has this guilty look on his face. Even when he looks guilt, he still so adorable.

"Sorry about her."

"It's okay really don't worry about it."

I finish putting the last thing in my bag and sling it over my shoulder while giving him a soft smile to make him feel better. He opens his mouth to say something else, but quickly closes it.

"I'll see you later Zeref."

"Bye Mavis."

Time Skip

I had to go wash my hands, because I had dirt all over them. I hum a little tone as I scrub the dirt from under my nails. I hear the door open up then shut quickly right after. I don't bother to look over my shoulder, but when I was done I did look in mirror and jump out of my skin.

"Ultear, you scared me."

She doesn't say anything, I step around her and dry my hands off. I don't look back at her because I know her eyes are on me. Once my hands are dry and I head towards the door, she blocks my path.

"Uh, can you move please?"

"I don't know what you were thinking back there in class, but Zeref is mine so stay away."

Her words felt like knives, I didn't know if I should cry or try to defend myself. I took option C and ran out of the bathroom down the hall and up to the roof. I sit on the ground and pull my knees into my chest and cry softly to myself.

Maybe she's right. Its just a simple crush nothing more, it's not like I love him or anything. Thinking about that word "Love" makes my heart ache and it makes me cry even more. I've know him for almost my whole school life and still I can't even talk to him.

"I do love him, so much."

"Mavis?"

I look over and see Zeref coming over to me, I look away and wipe my face off. When I turn back he kneels down beside me and takes my face into his hands. He wipes the last of the tears with his thumbs before sitting down and brining me into his chest.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm just making sure you're okay."

He moves some of my hair and tucks it behind my ear. This is happening. He's really here.

"Why were you crying just now?"

"Just...something on my mind."

I couldn't look at him when I said that, I just really want to be alone right now. I get out of his embrace and stand up. He looks confused, but gets up with me.

"Hey why are you tying to leave?"

"Zeref I just...can't be near you right now."

"Did I do something?"

I shake my head at him and look down at my feet. I should just tell him how I feel and get it over with.

"Look zeref I need to tell you something."

"What is it?"

I bite the inside of my mouth and take a deep breath. Hear it goes.

"Zeref I..I like you like a lot and I know you have a thing for Ultear and I just can't keep watching her be all over you. It sucks watching something you love being taken away..."

As soon as I said that, he takes him hands and bring me close to his face and kisses me deeply. I'm caught off guard and wide eyed before I let the kiss take over. I close my eyes and wrap my arms around his neck. We stay like this for awhile before he break away for air.

"I love you too Mavis."

Hearing those words come out of his mouth warms my heart and I hug him tightly while he hugs back as well.

"Mavis?"

"Yes?"

"Will you be my girl?"

I practically jump into his arms and squeal and nod my head yes. I hear him chuckle and embrace me.

I did it I told him how I felt and he loves me too. Take that Ultear.

"We should get back to class."

"Yeah we should."

He lets go of me and I start walking towards the starts, but I don't get far before he grabs my hand and intwines our fingers together. I look down then up to him and smile and he smiles at me.

"Shall we?" He says

"We shall."
