Malcolm is a natural born leader. Although he isn't concerned about the legality of the jobs he does, often turning a blind eye to them, he never does the wrong thing in terms of morality. He has somewhat of a noble spirit, intolerant towards injustice or abuses of power. Malcolm is selfless, always putting his crew before himself. He is sharp and quick-witted— able to think quick on his feet. Malcolm is charismatic and charming, and uses his abilities to get himself or his crew out of tough spots. Malcolm does maintain a more relaxed and playful side to him, which he expresses when he's with his crew or close friends. However, when he's on a job, he knows it's time to get serious. He is very determined and focused. Malcolm can be stern when giving orders, especially when he's trying to protect people. Sometimes, he insists on doing everything himself, which can lead to him pushing others away. He's a bit of a loner. Additionally, Malcolm is an anti-hero, and is not above smuggling, theft, lying, or even killing those who threaten him. Malcolm is the type of person who is willing to shoot first and skip the questions. Malcolm thinks very little of himself, and doesn't put his life at a high value, which can lead to him attempting daring feats, as he has little to no sense of self-preservation. He is very stubborn and will not change his mind at all once he's set on something. Malcolm is fiercely loyal incredibly protective of his crew. He cares deeply for those who are close to him, and would fight tooth and nail to keep those he loves safe.

Bᴀᴄᴋɢʀᴏᴜɴᴅ
Malcolm was born on an outer rim planet in a small settlement, so he was far from any type of huge civilization. He was the only boy out of his siblings— he had three sisters— so his father put a lot of pressure on Malcolm to take care of his mother and younger sisters while he was far away working in the mines. This led to a strained relationship with his father, but Malcolm was extremely close with his mother and sisters. He spent his childhood taking care of everyone, working, spending his time in the large forests around their farm, looking out into space. Malcolm dreamed of getting off of his small home planet, but he couldn't leave his family behind. When Malcolm was 23, the Second Year War began, and he was drafted at 24. He fought for the Zenan side, who were trying to keep from getting destroyed by the Vanguard. He quickly rose through the ranks thanks to his work ethic, and was stationed out on another outer rim planet. It was on this planet that he met The Commander, who served under him. The two of them became inseparable throughout the war, and once the war was over, they set out together to try and find a new life. Malcolm came across a cheap and small smuggling ship in a black marketplace, and brought it, naming it the Infineon. He and The Commander met the rest of the crew over the years, forming a reputation as a top-tier smugglers and mercenaries.

He hates them. He was on the losing side of the Second Year War, and watched the Vanguard harm his people. Malcom wants nothing more than to see the Vanguard destroyed.

Oᴘɪɴɪᴏɴ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴇᴀʟɪɴɢs ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ɪɴғɪɴᴇᴏɴ
The Infineon is his ship, after all, so what he says goes. Malcolm doesn't care about the legality of the jobs they take, he often doesn't look too closely at what people want him to do, as long as there's money involved. However, if a job goes south or goes against his morals, he'll get the hell out of there, money be damned.
