Chapter 2: Oil and steel
The Iron Front (red faction) includes the city of Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, and Magnitogorsk, which inhabitants call their home with this nickname. Thanks to the pre-built bunkers in the Urals mountains, the inhabitants of the Urals and Siberia were fortunate to have more shelter to prepare their necessities than those living in the central and border regions. Everyone had the opportunity to prepare what they needed to get over during their main supply from the Euro was destroyed. As a result, the scale of cities outside the Urals was bigger than in the European part, and they rebuilt their accommodation and later formed the Iron Front. Residents here are industrious workers as they have a rating system based on their working time. The most hard-working worker will be rewarded more and promoted faster than the other. Contrastingly, people who have fewer working hours and are weaker will be abandoned and marginalized in society. This alliance focuses on mining, metallurgy, and utilizing natural resources. With the strength of thousands of residents of all three towns, the "Iron Front" was able to re-establish and maintain its industry as it is today, even preserving a Rare Titanium alloy manufacturing method that could not be anywhere else. Most of the metal that the remaining cities use comes from this alliance. Although the quality of the product is only mid-range, it is large enough to supply the other faction to use permanently. It is also an explanation why many bandits always scout and often try to attack this place. However, most of them fail or bring only a few resources to their gang. The residents of this union work without caring about the time but they still have some festivals and monthly holidays, which permit them to take a break to clear their minds. The locals often come here to enjoy and relax after hundreds of stressful working hours. As residents of the unions, they love extreme sports and enter the ring to show their strength and fighting skills. Not only that, festivals and events also have the participation of other unions. Circus, famous musicians in the region come to perform their repertoire.
To talk about the Oil syndicate (yellow faction), we can summarize it in three words: Trade, oil, and railway. Initially, the cities were part of independent settlements, but for for-profit reasons, they merged into a union, which included the towns of Tyumen, Kurgan, and Surgut. The oil syndicate currently holds refineries, and oil production facilities in Tyumen and Surgut, and owns a large railway station. It is their pride in the alliance because it is the largest station of the Trans-Siberian Railway. Most residents here work as deliveries for a living, especially in Kurgan where people mainly live on "super trains", large trains with hundreds of carriages that can fit an entire town. Surgut, this place is one of the sources of crude oil to Tyumen for processing and production of finished products. Currently, only two roads lead to Surgut: the road connecting Tyumen with Surgut, or the river crossing Surgut, Novosibirsk, and Omsk. However, the transporters do not often choose the river route because they need regular maintenance of their ships and deal with mutant fish.
