FRUIT SANDWICHES
▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

(Y/N) was stressed out of his mind, and that was an understatement. His pounding headache wasn't helping him in the slightest either. The lecture was already over, and as (Y/N) reached out to take a drink of his bottled tea he had retrieved from a vending machine, he realized it was completely empty.

Sorrow.

With a sigh, he reluctantly got up and trailed out of the room to look for more caffeinated beverages— it's probably the caffeine to begin with.

Arriving at the vending machine, he slipped $1 into it. Pressing a few buttons a can of iced tea had tumbled down into the dispenser. (Y/N) cracked it open and sipped the top, a refreshing sigh escaping his lips.

A familiar figure stood behind him, but (Y/N) was unbothered.

"The tea is expired..."

"Expired tea is still tea, tastes fine."

(Y/N) huffed then turned around, meeting his favorite shade of blue.

"Wanna taste, Giyuu?" he offered, holding the can towards him.

Giyuu shook his head, the low ponytail on the back of his head shifted softly.

"I have work today, gotta leave in a few," the taller male said, fidgeting with his smartphone.

(Y/N) cocked his brow, "I thought you didn't work on Wednesdays, did you find a new job?"

Giyuu huffed, a tinge of embarrassment shown in his face, "No, it's only for a few hours— side thing."

Taking another sip of the tea, he smiled, "Don't overwork yourself, take care!"

(Y/N) waved to Giyuu as he walked away, noticing something as his back was turned. When did Giyuu get so fit? At the moment he was just wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts to contradict the summer heat and humidity.

Giyuu had always been fit, it was a side hobby of his he took pride in— but since he had been getting temporary summer jobs he's been less and less able to focus on his body. (Y/N) had supported him nonetheless, however seeing how he walked away made him worry.

He wasn't overworking himself... right? Exercise was a stress reliever for a lot of people, and Giyuu was no different— but (Y/N) couldn't help but worry for his friend.

Taking another sip from his tea, he rushed back to the lecture hall... Spilling some of the tea he just bought in the process.

▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

School was a monster all by itself, (Y/N)'s back had never ached like it has like this before. Three textbooks, four different notebooks, and a variety of fiction novels.

It was his fault, he shouldn't have gotten all of the books at once or had gotten another bag— but that didn't make the pain go away. A brightly colored sign caught his eyes as he made his way through town, neon paint markers and colorful chalk decorated the dark colored chalkboard.

'Come visit our crossdressing maid café! Be treated like royalty by our manly maids 〜♡

(Y/N) chuckled at the ridiculous wording, but it seemed like it would be fun— but places like this were known to be expensive. So he had decided against it.

Until (Y/N) lifted his head, his eyes meeting those deep blue orbs.

Giyuu fucking Tomioka.

His hair was in a high ponytail, his messy front still remained untouched. His outfit consisted of a shorter baby blue skirt reaching down to his mid thigh violated with layers and layers of white ruffles. His top had a modest chest window, near the top with puffy short sleeves— strings on ribbons and ruffled straps going over his broad shoulders. A ribboned collar adorning his neck.

(Y/N) couldn't see it from where he was but knee high garter socks hugged his legs, a pure snowy white.

Giyuu's heart stopped completely, the tray of porcelain tea cups seeming to not exist anymore. It couldn't have been (Y/N), he hates cosplay cafés— right?! He began to panic when the bell at the entrance rang.

"Welcome〜!"

The hostess called out, going through the menus. Giyuu snapped out of his daze, noticing the coffee and tea on the tray he was carrying. Delivering them quickly.

As he placed the cups on to the table he thought about how he could avoid the (h/c) boy— he's already been discovered so there wasn't any point in hiding anything.

(Y/N) had his legs crossed as he played with the straw of his soda. His eyes set on the corner of the table as if he were spaced out.

"Would you like any pastries...?" Giyuu mumbled softly to him, (Y/N)'s eyes shifted over to the maid standing over him, "...Master..?"

Usually the words flowed from Giyuu's mouth no problem, but one of his worst fears was standing right in front of him in the flesh. It was embarrassing.

"Hmm... Can I have a fruit sandwich? Strawberry please," (Y/N) requested, taking a sip of his drink.

Giyuu bowed and hushed a quick, "Yes," before scurrying off to punch the order in.

He proceeded to work as "usual". He could feel (Y/N)'s eyes on him, and his cocky smirk made him feel even more embarrassed than he did before. His cheeks were a soft red, his quiet demeanor turned up even more.

It was only a matter of time before he had to serve him, but there wasn't much he could do about it. The quicker he served you, the quicker he would leave.

"Here is your food, master. If there's anything else you need please let me know." Giyuu bowed politely, his posture stiffened once he heard his voice.

"Is this the side job you mentioned earlier? You should've told me sooner, even if this isn't really my thing you look really cute," (Y/N)'s complement set Giyuu off, his entire face beet red.

"It's nothing special... Just a side gig..."

(Y/N) chuckled and put a hand underneath his chin to support his head. Flashing Giyuu a wide smile.

"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."
