Erika Koume, or just known as Erika Shiroko legally was silent for the car ride as her adoptive mother, Rina Shiroko, who in fact just like her eldest adoptive daughter, was a famous volleyball star.

Rina Shiroko was a beautiful woman who was half Japanese and half of her family was African American, with mocha colored skin and a muscular curvaceous body from all of her years with training in volleyball, long white colored hair that reached below her waist which was let down this time due to not playing or practicing volleyball today and black eyes which would often turn red if she expressed any passionate or intense emotions. Today she sported a professional white outfit with long slightly baggy business pants with a crop top showing a bit of cleavage and a matching white blazer that was left open and in match she wore black white high heeled stilettos.

Since today was a day of celebration for all three of her daughters, Rina was able to get herself out of all types of work and make it a day to celebrate her daughters and their successes of graduating.

So first, she went ahead to pick up her eldest adoptive daughter from her now former middle school and tried to start a conversation with her daughter, but noticed she wasn't really in her usually the mood to be chatty. It wasn't like her. Every car ride, it was Erika with a bright smile on her face, talking about her best friends, her love for volleyball or any subject she was interested in with a bright smile and an enthusiastic attitude.

'That game from Nationals and that knee injury must've really gotten to her'. The famous volleyball player frowned as she turned her attention to Erika. "Hey, you okay kid?", Rina asked her adoptive daughter.

Erika turned to Rina, the blonde girl letting out a soft sigh, "Yeah. I just wish my knee would get better faster but also that game at Nationals, has me rethinking my love for volleyball. Am I really going to continue? What can I do now? I don't really know"

Listening to Erika's thoughts, Rina stayed silent as kept turned her attention on her, trying to think of ways to cheer up her daughter but for now she couldn't think of anything.

"Hey, Eri, don't be so hard on yourself", Rina tried to reassure her daughter, "I know it's a hard thing to move from, but I'm sure you'll find something. Just take it easy right now, I'm sure you'll find your passion and a way to work with volleyball soon enough"

Erika shrugged and let out a soft sigh, she thought about the famous volleyball players words for a moment, she couldn't find herself disagreeing really. Maybe right now, even if she couldn't risk it in the past, this was now time to stop.

"Okay, you win Rina. I'll take it easy for now", a small smile started to stretch across Erika's face as she turned to her adoptive mother.

A grin spread across Rina's face as her hand gently ruffled the top of Erika's head, chuckling softly. "Good, you better take it easy for the rest of the time being or no more volleyball for you"

Erika almost let out a light laugh, "Okay okay, I get it"

"Good, now let's get some dinner tonight. You and your sisters just graduated and it's time to celebrate, what do you think Etsuko and Kameko would like as well?", Rina asked the eldest adoptive sister, who knew her little sisters better than anyone else, the three were very close and loved each other very much.

"Well I know Etsuko would love sushi and for Kameko, she would be happy with some happy meals", Erika thought to herself out loud as she looked at Rina.

"And what would like to eat, Eri? I know you would like something too", Rina chuckled softly.

"Well, I would absolutely love some Korean barbecue", the blonde haired girl admitted.

"Aight tonight, we eat Korean Barbecue. Cuz you got an injured knee and you've down in the dumps for a long time, you deserve it", Rina announced as she ruffled her daughters hair once again and hugged her close with one arm.

"Wait really? But what about sushi and McDonalds?", Erika tilted her towards Rina.

"Well, I can take tomorrow off too, we can do tomorrow. Tonight we celebrate you and your hard work, you might not have won Nationals but you did your best and you're now going to high school too. You need to stop putting yourself down"

Hearing her the words coming from her adoptive mother, Erika couldn't help but feel a bit warm on the inside. This whole time, she felt awful, she believed she let herself, her mothers name and her friends and teammates (even if some of them were toxic) down. She felt really down these past few days, so her mother doing this for her, it meant a lot to her.

The blonde girl let out a soft laugh as tears fell from the corner of her eyes, using her fingers to gently wipe them away. "Thanks Rina, I mean mom, I really appreciate this"

Rina chuckled softly, "It's no problem at all Eri, anything to see you smile finally"

Back inside her bedroom, after her sisters were picked up and had been told by Rina they were going out for dinner tonight, the two other girls were ecstatic.

A dinner reservations was made for a Korean Barbecue restaurant very popular in the area at 8:30pm and right now it was 5:28pm, so Erika had time to relax and consume time for herself. So right now she was just lounging in a pair of black baggy pants with two white horizontal stripes on each side of her leg and matching it with a white baggy t-shirt with a cartoonish drawing of a bowl of ramen noodles while she was barefoot on her bed.

Erika's hands, once calloused from hours of constant practice and playing from volleyball, now softened slightly due to her inability to play, flipped through the pages of the manga she was reading. Fairy Tail, a long time favorite of hers since the day she discovered it and had been obsessed with it for a very long time, even accidentally getting some of her friends into and obsessed with the anime as well.

But despite reading the storyline, her brown eyes focusing on the very glorious nostalgic page where Lucy Heartfilia entered the guild, something else was plaguing Erika's mind.

What should she do now?

She knew she had to rest, but currently she felt a bit too restless and anxious with an unknown future ahead of her.

"Just shut up brain, I'm trying to relax", she sighed in frustration to herself, rubbing her temple with the tip of her fingers. Shrugging to herself, she used this opportunity to once again block the thoughts out of her head and refocused her mind and vision on the current page of the Fairy Tail manga that she was originally reading.

Time passed by, Erika got herself ready in a total of one and half hours while her sister Etsuko took two as she was quite the fashionista as well as her adoptive mother Rina.

Erika did feel like putting effort in her appearance so she got one of her best outfits, being a black dress with a thigh length skirt, a vertical top with long sleeves and matching with this outfit she put on a pair of black ballet shoes and styling her knee brace on her right knee with a black brace to match her outfit. She finished brushing her hair out, leaving it loose before grabbing her purse with her phone, earphones, wallet and other small items to carry with her.

Downstairs, she saw Kameko watching cartoons on the TV in the living room while she waited for her mother and sisters to be finished getting ready for tonight's dinner.

Sneaking up to her little sister from behind, a small smile crawled on Erika's face as she playfully ruffled her little sister hair from behind.

"Wha!", Kameko laughed lightly as she pulled her head away from her sisters hand, "You're gonna mess up my hair Erika", she stuck her tongue out at her sister.

The little girl was wearing pastel pink overalls with a skirt matching with a white long sleeved top with knee high matching pink socks and ballerina flats with big ribbons.

"Sorry Kame, I'll fix your hair up for you if you want, do you have your favorite hair ribbon?", Erika asked her little sister as she sat down next to her on the couch.

In response Kameko nodded her head enthusiastically, "Yup, I got it and a hair brush!", the girl with blonde hair matching her older sisters took out took out a pure white big ribbon and a smaller hair elastic with her brush.

"Good, now time to fix your hair up", Erika chuckled softly as she started to gently the little girls blonde hair, making to be ever so gentle with her and to not snag her hair as she was watching the cartoon on the television. Once the hair was ridden of knots, Erika used her hands to gently tie up her sisters hair in a mid high ponytail and using that Erika slipped the ribbon through her sisters hair and started to tie the ribbon for her hair, creating a big graceful ribbon in her hair.

"Aaanndd I'm all done!", Erika announced and kissed her little sisters cheek making her giggle softly as Erika took out her cellphone, putting it on selfie mood to show Kameko a mirror of her appearance.

The little girl smiled brightly at her hairstyle done, "Ahhhh! This looks amazing! Thank you Eri", Kameko cheered enthusiastically, the smile never fading as she looked at herself in the selfie mode mirror.

"I'm glad you like it Kameko", Erika chuckled softly, kissing her little sister on the cheek once again.

"Awww, is it too late for my hair to be done as well?", another voice spoke to them from behind them, both sisters turned around and Etsuko was standing behind them, already wearing her outfit which was a crochet white tank top matching with a maxi light green skirt with mini white daisy patterns paired with a white and yellow crochet jacket and plain white sneakers that were given to her by Erika since she had outgrown them last year.

"Oh, you want your hair done too, Etsu?", Erika asked her biological sister who was a year younger than her.

"Look at my hair, Etsuko! Erika did it for me!", the blonde girl smiled as she proudly pointed out her hair.

A small warm smile crawled on Etsuko's lips as she looked at her little sister, "You look beautiful Etsuko, I was even gonna ask Erika to do my hair as well", she chuckled softly.

"Okay, sit down and stay still", Erika patted the spot next to her and took out another hair tie and took her brush in her hair.

Once the middle sister sat down on the couch, Erika started to work on her sisters hair that was lighter in color than her own and Kameko's, brushing it thoroughly so the knots would be gone and going every corner. Etsuko relaxed at her sisters methods as the way she had done it always felt made her unwind. "Etsu, what hairstyle would you like?", Erika asked her sister as she finished getting out the knots.

"Would you mind doing a braid for me, just one is fine", hearing her sisters request, Erika used her hands to skillfully do a French braid on her sisters hair and once she was finished, used the hair tie to tighten the bottom.

"I'm done", Erika announced to Etsuko.

The middle sister took the braided part of her light blonde hair in her hair, the small smile on her face grew as she looked into her reflection on her phone. "Thank you Erika, this looks amazing!"

The oldest sister smiled softly to Etsuko, "Hey it's no problem at all, glad you two like your hairstyles", Erika chuckled softly.

"Okay! Who's ready to eat some Korean BBQ!", a loud boisterous feminine voice called out heartily to her daughters as she walked into the living room. Her curvaceous body flaunted in a pair of white jeans and a white lace tank top with a sweetheart neckline with a matching long white leather jacket and white high heeled pump boots, her hair stayed loose but this time was styled in waves and added some make up such as golden eyeliner, soft pink blush and strawberry flavored lipgloss.

"Whoa, Miss Rina, that outfit looks amazing", Erika chuckled softly as she noticed that her adoptive mother was wearing the outfit that Erika suggested she buy the time they went shopping in their trip in New York City.

Rina smiled blithely at her daughter, "Thanks Eri, you got good taste and I'd thought I'd flaunt a little tonight. You guys ready?", the tanned skinned woman walked up to her adoptive daughters on the couch.

Kameko nodded enthusiastically as she pointed to her own and Etsuko's hair, "Yup! Erika even did my own and Etsuko's hair while we waited for you!", the little girl smiled at her adoptive mother.

"Ahhh, your guys hair looks amazing", Rina smiled brightly as she looked at her daughters hair before turning her attention to Erika, "You did a good job Eri"

Erika chuckled softly, "Ahh shucks Rina, thank you", the blonde girl smiled brightly towards her adoptive mother.

"Okay now you three rascals! Time to go out and eat dinner and enjoy the night!", the professional volleyball player also adoptive mother of Erika, Etsuko and Kameko announced proudly before the four left the house together, their intention to enjoy the night and forget about their worries of their careers and school.

Eventually, the family of four reached the restaurant, Rina Shiroko knew she had a high chance of being surrounded by the paparazzi and she honestly didn't want her daughters to be too caught up in the media and their lives being constantly caught in it, so she thought of a disguise.

Tying her hair in a middle bun and with the help of her daughters, putting on a bald cap and over that, putting up a black pixie cut wig and putting golden brown eye contact lenses with sunglasses over her face.

She wasn't too recognizable now so she wouldn't have a problem with leave and privacy, so she could enjoy this dinner tonight with her daughters.

Eventually with a few minute drive and her disguise being complete, Rina hopped out of her limo with her daughters following close behind. She wasn't surrounded by camera's or reporters, so this evening would be peaceful.

Walking into the restaurant, Rina reached the front counter and smiled at the host, "Hey, table booked for four at eight thirty p.m.", the celebrity in disguise greeted and reminded the host.

The host looked at the list of bookings and saw their names, "Ah, for Ms. Usagi Shirokawa and your daughters, right?", the host asked.

Rina nodded in response hearing the name; "Yeah that's me", she answered.

Usagi Shirokawa was a name Rina was a name she forged undercover, so when she and her daughters would go out in public, they wouldn't be swarmed by the paparazzi or nosy journalists or have their lives bombarded constantly.

The host hummed thoughtfully before nodding at the woman and her three adoptive daughters, "I will take you to your table", with that, the host started to walk them to their table.

Erika and Etsuko walked in with Rina, both of them holding each of Kameko's hands as she walked with them. The little girls eyes curiously peered around the area as she walked with both of her older sisters until they reached their table.

A table with a booth and a window with a clear view of the city lights, even if it wasn't as grand as Tokyo or New York, it was still really pretty. This seating satisfied all three daughters and allowed them to sit down.

Etsuko and Rina took the view of the windows as Erika knew her sister Etsuko wasn't much of a people person and Kameko was more of a chatter along with Erika and Rina was less likely to get caught with her seating if someone would dare to be a little too observant and nosy, so it was quite a good seating.

In the restaurant, the family of four women ordered their drinks and food, cooking the meats and vegetables over the stove and dipped it into the marinade and other sauces too.

"So Erika, you're not gonna be able play volleyball for a whole year?", Etsuko asked her sister, frowning sympathetically for her sisters pain of her knee and losing her passion.

Erika sighed softly on defeat, "Unfortunately yeah. But now it means I have to rest my knee and focus on my academics more", the oldest sister chuckled softly as she took a bite of her bulgogi.

"I'm sure your knee will be okay, you just rest and I'll make your knee better for you", Kameko smiled brightly as she cheered for her sister, taking a bite of her barbecued vegetables.

Erika chuckled softly as she exchanged a meaningful gaze towards her little sister, "Thank you, Meko. I really appreciate it"

"And for high school choices, I heard you picked out Karasuno", Rina pointed out before taking a bite of her galbisal.

"Oh yeah, I did. It was one of the options I took, I just decided to take a volleyball team that hopefully wouldn't need a good player and hopefully would be easier for academics on entrance exam", Erika chuckled nervously.

"Well, a good friend of mine and myself went to Karasuno, as well as another volleyball player who got quite a name for himself", the famous volleyball player in disguise answered to her daughter.

"Oh really? What's their name?", Erika asked curiously as she turned her attention to her adoptive mother.

"I haven't gotten his full name yet, but his nickname goes from both the "Small Giant" and the "Tiny Giant", he's super short but his skills and jumping power are quite the combo despite the odds", Rina explained to her daughters.

A bright smile spread across the youngest daughters face, "Wow! He must so cool!", she marveled.

"Yeah, I saw him a bit on TV and see if he would be interested in joining my friends team", the volleyball celebrity player chuckled softly.

"Well, he must be strong. I even heard about this guy named Tobio Kageyama, from Kitagawa Daichi. I heard he had exceptional talent unfortunately his attitude and leaderships were way below his level of talent", Erika commented, but rather than sounding judgmentally she was rather open minded, even if she wasn't fond of players like him, she always tried to be understanding of others. "They call him the "King Of The Court" or something like that".

"Geez, what a name", Rina almost laughed lightly, "He must be big with something like that. I wanna see him in action now"

"Even my students Hannah, Manami and Namiko are coming to stay in Japan to scout some more players, even Taiyo Kamiya and the other guys are coming too", Rina informed her three daughters.

"Oh really? I thought Hannah was going back to New York and Taiyo was going back to Hollywood with Chizuka", Erika asked her adoptive mother.

"Well, both Taiyo and Chizuka changed their minds and want to settle a bit from their careers and Hannah wanted to scout alongside me, she also said it would be an easier way for her and Manami to keep an eye on Namiko so she doesn't get into trouble again", she stated, knowing about the players mischievous and chaotic antics.

Erika sweat dropped hearing this. 'When is Namiko never getting herself into trouble though?' she l asked herself.

"Well it's good that they're coming back, I kinda missed them", Erika admitted softly.

"Well, here is to us as champions and to you Erika, even if you and your team didn't win nationals this year I know you'll get back up", Rina raised her glass of Jack Daniels.

"Yeah, to Erika", Etsuko agreed, lifting her glass of Coca Cola.

"To Erika!", Kameko joined in, putting up her sparkling orange juice in the air mimicking her older sister and adoptive mother.

Erika let out a soft laugh, looking at Rina and her sisters with a smile spreading across her face. "Aww you guys are the best, but my rewards are not my own but for all of us", the blonde haired girl stated, lifting her glass of ice water in the air, "To us", she proposed.

Rina chuckled softly at her daughters words, accepting her words. "To us", she announced.

"To us", the two other sisters announced and thus, the rest of the night was enjoyed of Korean Barbecue and when everyone was done, it was finished with an ice cream each for dessert before they retired heading back home for the joyous night needed after months of hard work that went down the drain. They deserved this rest; knowing well that this will help Ms. Nationals rise once again to glory.
