THEN
The sound of the familiar basketball gym was made of its usual sound of the percussion of dribbles and melodies of the shouting and squeaking noises. Akashi Seijuro the new current captain re-tied his shoelaces just coming out of a practice game as he looked at the door again to see if Kuroko, Momoi and especially if Anna would walk through the door.
They were late.
Akashi Seijuro hated tardiness but made a slight exception if Anna had a good explanation.
"I heard the Home Ec class Hirose-kun was in with Kuroko-kun and Momoi-san were in is running a bit late due to the projects," came a voice as Akashi looked around to see his classmate Midoriama who held his lucky item in one hand.
"Ah, thank you Midoriama-san," Akashi thanked.
"Geh, where the heck is Satsuki? She has the new move data I need," bellowed a voice as Aomine approached sweating as behind him bounced a frightfully happy Kise as always.
"EH?! Where's Anna-chi, Mido-chi did you say?" Kise asked.
"I refuse to explain again," the shooter guard chided as the blonde pouted like a puppy only to receive a glare from the Midoriama.
"Sorry, we're late!" Anna charged through the door with Kuroko and Momoi as they laughed.
"Yo, why are you guys late?" Aomine questioned.
"Shut it asshole we have a good reason," she chided as she held a paper in her hand.
"Ann-chi! What's that?" Kise asked pointing at the paper.
"This is our platonic family tree while the presentations went on," Anna presented.
"Hey! Why does my hair drawn so weird?!" Aomine frowned as he observed the drawings of them.
"We didn't have a dark blue so I just used my blue highlighter and scribbled black on it," Anna shrugged as Aomine irked.
"Wait, why is Aomine and I under you and Kuroko-chi and Momoi-chi together?" Kise asked hovering over the paper.
"You and Aomine are platonic children!"
"Huh?!" Aomine exclaimed.
"Aomine is the oldest cause I met him first. I adopted him when I found him in the bin!" Anna grinned as Murisakibara and Kise started to laugh.
"Oi!"
"Then Kise is my platonic favourite child! I found him at night and was a cabbage baby!" Anna hugged.
"Neh! I'm Anna-chi's favourite!" Kise put a proud smirk on his face smiling at Aomine who was fuming.
"Anna-kun!" Aomine yelled.
"Kuroko is my brother and is happily married to Momoi, they don't have any kids yet!"
"Oh, and Mido-kun is my first child actually but biological," Anna prided as the male only pushed his glasses up.
"Where's Akashi-chi and Murasakibaracchi?" Kise asked.
"Eh, we haven't figured that out yet," Anna slumped as Aomine grinned as an idea was brought to his head.
"Hey, you should make Akashi your husband," Aomine smirked as Anna blushed a furious red.
"A-aomine!"
"Is their a problem being not being a suitable partner?" Akashi raised a brow folding his arms.
"N-NO! No Sei-chan! You're perfect-, no! I mean yes you! You know what he can be hus-, my platonic husband! I have no problem! Noopppeee!" She quickly scribbled a chibi face of Akashi next to her as she then glared at Aomine who only stuck out his tounge.
"Muri-san can be my cousin and your uncle!" Anna quickly changed the subject as Aomine tried to hold his laugh.
---
"Why are you standing there?!" Midoriama chided at the purple giant, "If you had screened him, I wouldn've been wide open!"
"Huh?!" Murasakibara frowned, "I wouldn't need to do that if you'd just pass me the ball!"
"Here we go," Anna sighed next to Coach Shirogane as they held each other's (shirt) collars.
"Stop fighting!" A boy ran passed Anna.
"What are they doing?" the other coach sighed as Anna looked to Akashi to see if he would do something as he nodded as the angry banter continued between them.
"Stop fighting!" Kuroko walked up to both of them, "Even I could beat you right now," he said as it triggered them both, "Play me after practice, and I'll prove it to you. The team that scores ten points first wins."
"W-we don't even have an even amount of players," Midoriama huffed looking pridefully to the side.
"Then count me in," Anna walked up smizing.
---
"Are you holding back Akashi-chi just because Anna-chi is you platonic wife?" Murasakibara asked as he chuckled, as Anna high-fived Kuroko and Aomine.
"Don't be ridiculous, I'm playing how I always do," he replied as Murasakibara groaned.
"Kise! Get in! I'm tired!" Anna panted as she took off the singlet and handed it to the blonde.
"Yay! Thanks Anna-chi!" He smiled as he ran onto the court as Aomine groaned.
"You,"
"Eh?! Aomine I'm hurt!" Kise dramatically whined acting as if he'd been shot.
As the whistle went Aomine was quick to dribble past the defense but was confronted by Akashi, passing it to the side Kuroko was quick to pass the ball upwards as Aomine ran quickly and jumped but was met in mid-air with a certain blonde player.
"EH?!"
With the two colliding Anna facepalmed as the two landed on the floor from the collision.
"What are you doing Kise?!" Aomine admonised, "Tetsu was passing to me!"
"What? That was obviously a pass to me!" Kise fired.
"What? That was mine!"
"No, Mine!" Kise exclaimed as they started pulling each other's hair and kicking each other.
"And people think girls are weird when we fight," Anna scoffed as Midoriama and Murasakibara only observed the blue and yellow debacle.
"oh dear," Anna sighed, she knew it was going to be a long night.
---
"I heard for the Tanabata their putting a festival in the park with games and a few rides at night," Momoi said as the two girls looked at the poster on the notice board.
"That looks so cool," Anna observed.
"I went last year with my family and Aomine's, there's this really good food stall that makes the best Yakitori, Aomine mostly lined up most of the night," Momoi sighed as Anna laughed.
"That sounds like him," Anna chuckled.
"Now that were all old enough we should all go together-" Momoi proposed.
"I never been to one," Anna said and Momoi as Momoi's eyes widened.
"What?!"
"Yeah, I mean I've never been to an actual festival. To be honest I think the last time I wore a yukuta was when I was eight." Anna tried to remember, "I never went with Sei cause he visits his grandmother on his mother's side. My father and I don't really celebrate it as other do, the food just kinda changes," Anna sheepishly chuckled trying to hide her sadness.
"Anna-kun! That means we definitely make this happen!" Momoi exclaimed a bit to loudly that others started looking as she froze, "Gomei," she bowed as everyone went on with their buisness.
"I don't know, I mean-,"
"Anna-kun!" Momoi whined as Anna sighed.
"I guess I can think of something," Anna said defeatingly. Guess I'm sneaking out of the house again.
"You know~" Momoi smirked, "It's a also quite a romantic holiday as well,"
"Meaning?" Anna raised a brow, "Are you going to try kiss Tetsu-kun," Anna stiffled.
"N-no! I mean I already asked him on a date," Momoi quickly fazed about their date Momoi had asked Kuroko on a few weeks ago, and how Anna had to convince the police to let Kise and Aomine out of custody for stalking them. Kise's older sisters weren't happy that night...
"Well, I heard from my friend whose in highschool now, that when she kissed her crush on her last year of middle school, they're now happily boyfriend and girlfriend now. It was when they where on the same ferris wheel at the same festival were going too, when she reached the top she kissed him!
That same friend also told me her parents did the same thing! Apparently it's an old ritual or something! Cause your at the highest point to the sky with the stars where the couple can finally cross!" Momoi explained.
"Meaning? You're going to kiss Tetsu-kun?" Anna asked confusingly.
"Well-, I mean maybe! But he knows I like him! And when we get older I'm going to try to go the same highschool as him so we can be boyfriend and girlfriend! Besides, we're-, in a way sorting dating. And! We already kissed! Well, I kissed him!" she blushed as she shook her head, "But I'm saying this to you," she pointed at Anna.
"ME?!" Anna jerked.
"Yes! You and Akashi! We all know that you like him!" Momoi expressed.
"Is it that obvious?" Anna asked shyly.
"Yes," she replied bluntly.
"B-b-but I'm not kissing him!" Anna stated.
"Not on the lips silly, it's just a kiss. You can just kiss him on the cheek!" Momoi said pointing to her cheek as Anna was blushing in fury. Did she really want to be with Seijuro that much?
"I-I'll think about it," Anna turned her head the other way, "B-but, I'm going to need to borrow a yukuta," as Momoi squealed.
"Oh, don't worry, I got that covered," Momoi winked.
---
"What's taking the girls so long?" Midoriama in a dark forest green and white yukuta with a black sash groaned as he stood next to the rest of the generation of miracles.
"Eh! I agree, I want to get in line for those yakitories," Aomine whined.
"Neh, we're not even doing that till we do our tanzaku(s) yet! And don't rush the girls! You don't know if they have to do something or if they have their periods-,"
"Ew! Kise-kun! Disgusting!" Midoriama interjected.
"What?! I have two older sisters!" Kise whined as he rubbed the spot his friend hit.
"What's a period?" Aomine asked confusingly as the group except the tall giant in the back groaned.
"it's when blood-," Kuroko in a sky blue and whited sashed yukuta was about to finish as Akashi silenced him from a glare who was in red and black.
"Neh! Sorry we're late!" Momoi called out Kuroko, Aomine and Kise blushed at the sigh of Momoi fully dressed up with evident touches of makeup (foundation and lips) and her hair done beautifully as she was clad in a pink yukuta.
I think her boobs got bigger Aomine thought as Midoriama glared knowing what he was thinking of.
"Eh, finally you're here!" Aomine grumbled as they saw Anna behind Momoi in white yukuta with intricate red flower designs and red at the bottom as her hair was vastly differed from Momoi's as it was let down in a very loose ponytail.
"Sorry! Somone didn't want me to do her hair," Momoi looked to Anna who only huffed as she grinned, "Neh! Anna-kun, you're matching colours with Akashi-kun!"
Is that why you were so eager for me to wear red?!
"Hey you are!" Kise exclaimed, "Aw it's like Akashi-chi and Anna-chi are a couple!"
"Platonic," Aomine grinned as Anna felt an arrow through her chest.
"W-well, were all wearing every other colour. So red is the obvious choice-, scientifically," Anna stammered.
"There's also orange, and white, and other shades of our colours-," Midoriama went on as Anna glared at him.
"I'm starving! And I want to see the festival stores! Let's go make our wishes!"
---
As the sun setted in the background half way though it's journey Anna couldn't help but me stuck on what she wanted to wish for. Anna's emerald eyes glanced at her friends who already started writing carefully as possible on their pieces of paper.
Kise wished to become better than Aomine in basketball someday.
Aomine surprisingly didn't wish to become something around being the best in basketball but finding the best rival/s.
Midoriama wished for passing his exams with Mursaskibara wishing for more snacks (and to grow a bit taller).
Momoi asked for her to end up with Kuroko, Kuoroko wished for his friends to all play on the same team just like they still do now.
Akashi's wished for- [to make sense later on].
"Aomine! I can hang it myself!" Momoi argued as Aomine sighed.
"Satsuki, you can't reach the branch," Aomine sighed.
"I can handle myself just find thank you!"
"Fine then," Aomine smirked as he gave her paper to her as she tried to reach the lowest branch without too many wishes on it.
"Need help?" Aomine grinned.
"Murasakibra-kun! Can you help me hang it! Far far away from Aomine's?" she asked jubilantly as Aomine felt like he'd been shot.
"Why are you asking him?!" he dramatically said as if he'd shot.
"He's taller," she stuck out her tongue. He should have wished to be taller.
"I'm offended," Aomine huffed, "Actually, moommmmmm! Anna-kun! She's being mean!"
"Aomine don't be noisy," Midoriama smacked his head as Anna laughed.
"You haven't wrote a wish yet?" Akashi asked as Anna smiled.
"Don't worry! I know what to wish for now! Sei! Turn around! Don't look!" As Anna put the paper on his back for a hard surface.
"Okay," he chuckled.
I wish for everyone [my friends especially] to find happiness someday.
"Done?" he asked as Anna nodded.
"Can I hang it next to yours?"
"Of course," he smiled as he pointed the branch he put it on as she tied it making sure she didn't look at the other's and Akashi's wish.
"Alright! Let's go!" Anna proclaimed as they cheered.
As the silhouettes walked in the background a faithful wind blew twirling the wishes around.
I wish for everyone [my friends especially] to find happiness someday.
I wish happiness for Anna.
---
"Wah! It's so vibrant!" Momoi exclaimed as her eyes were starstruck by the liveness of the stalls.
"Finally! Let's go get some-,"
"Haven't asked what the girls want to do first?" Akashi interjected as Aomine sighed.
"It's alright, we can walk to Aomine's stall first so we can take a look around and see what we want to do Sei," Anna suggested as Aomine grinned.
"You heard her! I won't get too much!" Aomine encouraged as the colourful convoy travelled in awe.
As the team waited for Aomine to grab a few skewers. The raventte female standing with the rest of the team as a breeze washed over them making Anna's ribbon flew to her misfortune as she sighed.
"Dammit," Anna grumbled as Seijuro was quick to think of a solution.
"Anna, come with me," Seijuro took her hand, "I'm just going to get Anna a hair tie," he told Midoriama who nodded.
"Sei-chan, it's alright," Anna sheepishly chuckled.
"Anna, come on you'll be uncomfortable the whole night with your hair in the way. Come," Seijuro spotted a kanzashi store with an old couple running it.
"Hello, welcome," the lady bowed as she got up from her seat as Anna was stunned by the elaborate pieces on display.
"There all very beautiful," Anna complimented.
"Thank you, it's a family business. This season every piece is individually different," she smiled as her husband and old man with a light purple yukuta walked in.
"Are you two a couple?" he asked as the two of them had their eyes widened.
"We're still young."
"We're only in middle school!"
"Oh, apologies," he sheepishly chuckled, "I don't have my glasses on."
A slender white haired female that resembled more of a moon godess holding hands with a red haired male with he authority of an emperor . Putting his glasses on he saw the image fade into the young kids standing in front of their future selves. He rubbed his eyes again and only saw the two children.
"Oh, you have black hair, I could of swore you had white hair," he squinted his eyes.
"wait..." Anna said confusingly as Akashi only squeezed her hand tighter.
"I'm so sorry for my husband," the wife smacked his head, "His eye sight is not as good as it use to be I'm afraid."
"I can see you very clearly-,"
"Yamazaki!" The lady sighed, "I hope these pieces are to your liking."
"Go ahead Anna," Seijuro smiled as Anna's eyes wondered through the display. Hey eyes finally landed on a golden japanese hair pin with a red jeweled butterfly in a simple yet odd position within the small white flowers as she picked it up.
It's just like Seijuro's eyes.
"Do you like that one?" the lady asked smiling.
"I dunno, forgive me but it feels as if it's incomplete," Anna inspected it as the man only let out a smile.
"You are actually correct," the man smiled as he picked up a flower comb-like kanzashi, "We call it twining or 'lover pieces'. As you know two butterflies symbolise martial happiness. We designed the two initially for both to be together," he gave the piece to Anna looked at the two. Both the butterflies were looking at each other. The one she was given by the man was a beautifully crafted crystal white butterfly in a field of elaborate flowers as beads dribbed down from the bottom.
"They're both are really beautiful," Anna smiled as the couple exchanged looks.
"Pay for the first one we gave you, and we'll give the other one for free," the lady smiled.
"I can't-,"
"Please, you're the first to notice how we design our pieces. And besides, the butterflies need to be united somehow."
Anna looked to Seijuro who only nodded with a smile.
"Alright," Anna said as Seijuro was quick to pay for it much to Anna's dismay.
"Come, I'll put them properly on you," the lady said opening the gate as she patted down the seat she was sitting on a few moments ago.
"Alright," Anna laughed as seijuro watched for the first five minutes the ladies hands dexterously handle her hair, "Your hair is really beautiful miss."
"Ah, thank you," Anna thanked as the lady done the final touch as Seijuro's eyes widened in awe.
"How do I look?"
"Perfect" Seijuro simply said as Anna took out some money.
"Please accept this," she bowed as the couple exchanged looks whether they should take it.
"Something tells me you won't give up even if we say no," the lady chuckled as she took it from her.
"Thank you again," Anna and Seijuro bowed as the couple waved back.
"You saw it too, you old bastard," the lady chuckled.
"I wonder if they'll end up together."
"Two butterflies must take a journey before finding each other," the lady chuckled.
"We should go on the ferris wheel like when I first kissed you at the top," he grinned.
"We're too old," his wife dismissed.
---
After the group of eight had frenzied through the stalls of food, and the battle between the ongoing bet between Aomine and Kise of who could win the most toys [Aomine gave his to Anna and Kise, well kept his] from the games. Midoriama lectured Kise and Aomine on how was he going to take all the toys home [and for Anna's sake as well]. The group just gave all their toys to younger kids [well Kise kept two of them].
"Neh, Anna-chi you didn't keep any?" Kise asked as he watched Anna's hands gesture that she gave hers all away, "GEH! ANNA-CHI! YOU GAVE ALL HER TOYS AWAY?!"
"Yes?" Anna sheepishly chuckled.
"Who?" Akashi walked in with Midoriama with the group's cotton candy.
"Anna-chi," Kise's eyes turned into huge puppy ones.
"It's alright, and no offense Aomine, you have poor toy choices," Anna irked recounting the scary looking gorilla of a toy she held before.
"Geez, you're welcome," Aomine huffed.
"The gorilla kinda looked like a grumpy Aomine though," Kuroko bluntly said as Murasakibara started to choke as everyone started to stiffle laughs.
"TETSU!"
"What?" Kuroko said innocently oblivious to what he said.
"Hey look! You guys!" Anna pointed a bottle and ring toss.
"Those games are rigged," Aomine said.
"Yet you broke a tin can that was stuck with glue, when you threw it," Anna smirked, "Well I don't know about you guys who spent all their money on games, I'm going to play!"
"One round please!" Anna said giving money as she was given six rings. Throwing them one at a time only one went in as slumped.
"Told you it was rigged," Aomine whispered as he was kicked hard in the knee, "I NEED THIS KNEE-,"
"One round please," Akashi asked along with Midoriama.
"You fools, watch closely Aomine," as he threw them but to his dismay none of them went in as the four other boys started laughing hysterically in the back.
"I-I, I don't understand!" Midoriama exclaimed analysing the game as if he had missed something, "Whatever, maybe it is rigged-"
"HOLLY COW DAD! HE THREW ALL SIX AND THEY LANDED!" A boy said walking by as they all turned to Akashi who only smiled in satisfaction as the game host only was still processing the win.
"How-,"
"I-"
"That's Sei," Anna chuckled as she felt a soft material touch her skin as Seijuro gave her a cat plushie.
"For you, and I'll be sad if you gave this away," Seijuro smiled as Anna blushed hiding her face in the toy.
"Guys! The ferris wheel!" Momoi pointed.
"Momoi, the fireworks start soon!" Aomine whined, "You've been on it millions of times!"
"Aw, but I know someone wants to ride the ferris wheel cause she hasn't been on it," Momoi winked as she looked to Anna.
"Well-, I-. I've sorta always wanna too-, but it's totally fine! We can just skip the ferris wheel-,"
"You guys go ahead, I'll take Anna," Akashi stepped in.
"Sei-,"
"Sweet, well that's settled," Aomine yawned.
"Good lunch you guys! Remember the best part is when you're at the top!" Momoi yelled as they went.
"Shall we go?" Seijuro said as Anna tried to contain her blush hiding behind the toy she was given and lined up in the small cue.
"You alright Anna?" Akashi asked.
"Ah, just a little nervous you know? First time," Anna lied.
"Just the two of you?" the man said as they nodded, "Just leave the toy here thank you and please ride safely! Look up for the fireworks!" He smiled as they were seated, "Here we go! Enjoy!"
Anna's heart thumped wildly inside of her as she felt their seat going up.
I can do this, I can do this-
"You alright Anna?" Seijuro asked as he held her hand in comfort as they slowly reached the top of their cycle.
"uh-, yeah-," Anna then felt a jolt in the ride stopping, exactly with their seats at the top, "It stopped."
Boom!
The first firework had illuminated the night sky as they both turn in awe as they watch the show of illumination in wonder.
Anna turned to her red-haired friend as she looked nervously but stopped as she watched how the splendor of the fireworks had illuminated the boy's features so perfectly. Anna looked down to see he was still holding her hand. It was if as everything was going into slow motion.
The fireworks were going to end and there wouldn't be another time. Screw it!
"Sei!" Anna said as she closed her eyes and leaned forward. It was just the cheek.
"Yes-," Akashi turned around to except be met with Anna's lips on his as the fireworks all became muffled in the background.
When Anna came into realisation that it wasn't his cheek she was kissing, but his lips, the ferris wheel had jolted as Anna felt the ride going back down as Anna covered her mouth with her hand processing what was still happening.
No, no, no, no-
Akashi whose eyes were still stunned only was still recuperating what had happened. The ride reaching it's final destination at the bottom his eyes only softened.
"Anna-,"
"I'm so sorry!" Anna cried as the moment the man put up the seat bar Anna ran in tears.
"Hey Anna-," Kise said as the group walked to them only get Anna blazing past them.
"Anna!" Aomine yelled.
To what she believed she had made a grave mistake.
NOW
Anna's emerald eyes had finally made an entrance to the morning rays as she yawned giving a groan as her phone chimed to see the notification of a weekend meeting of the Seirin basketball team.
Right, she skipped work today to see them. Groaning in submission to the morning [almost ten] Anna flopped to the side to see the same cat Seijuro won her over almost two years ago. Anna smiled as she poked the soft plushie then hugging it.
Though the setting an time was amazing her kiss wasn't the best to the one as a kid she always dreamed about like in the shows she use to watch with Momoi. Hearing her phone vibrate from some source of spamming Anna glared as she scrolled through the endless notifications from Taiga.
"I'll make him to hundreds of laps," Anna grumbled as she just changed her shirt not bothering to change her flannel pants.
"Screw it," Anna muttered, "Wait, which park?"
---
Anna scrutinized her eyes to the horribly drawn map as she looked around the blocks of buildings confusion. This is why I should have forced Taiga into art classes, or using a ruler Anna thought.
Meow
Anna's eyes widened to see a cat sitting in front of her in curiosity. Anna smiled as she bent down and started petting it.
"Hello cutie. You going to help me?" Anna asked as it only purred as it started rubbing it sent on her leg making her chuckle asit it looked up at the street sign.
"Whatcha, looking at?" Anna asked the cat as she looked up to see the street name making her eyes spark.
"Wait a minute-," anna got up as the cat followed her as she read the numbers of the houses, "Ah-huh!" Anna pointed at the number twenty five and walked towards it as the door opened to reveal her teammate Tsuchida, the substitute power forwards of the highschool team.
"Hirose?!" He exclaimed frightened.
"Hey, so I was right, you do live here," she said calmly looking at the house.
"H-how do you know I live here?!" He jerked.
"Silly, I know where everyone lives," she rolled her eyes as the cat purred.
"That's-, that's really creepy," he shivered.
"Well how else am I supposed to contact you if you're phone isn't picking up?" Anna raised a brow as if it was obvious, "Also, I'm completely lost, Taiga drew this," she raised the picture as Tsuchida looked at it.
"That's really horrible description. I thought it was a picture of a truck drawn by a five-year-old," he chuckled, "Also I'm on my way there. Do you mind if we make a quick stop first?"
"Uh, sure?"
---
"So you and her have been dating how long?" Anna asked as they reached the traditional looking house.
"Ah, Etsuko-chan, and I started dating for a few months actually. We met at a her grandparent's kanzashi stall actually. It was festival last year where we met. I was getting something for my mother and she was getting food for her grandparents," he smiled.
"That's really cute, love at first sight?"
"In a way yes," he chuckled as he knocked as the sliding door opened to reveal an old woman that made her eyes widened.
Though the old woman looked much fragile than she last remembered she knew those eyes and features anywhere. The old lady only smiled realising who she was.
"Ah, Tsuchida-kun. Her to pick up Etsuko? Who's this?" she asked.
"Ah! This is my basketball manager-,"
"I remember you, two butterflies?" she smiled as Anna confirmed who she was.
"I'm still surprised you remember me," Anna chuckled.
"I remember all the special customers," she winked as the male only blinked in confusion, "I knew my husband was right when he thought he saw you with white hair. But now I see, your hair suits you so perfectly," she smiled.
Anna only looked down. To think her hair always looked ausupiscious to her father.
"Satoshi-," the brunette female stopped seeing Anna, "um-,"
"Ah! Sorry! Hi I'm Hirose Anna!" she quickly bowed, "I'm the basketball manager."
"Ah!" Etsuko flushed in embrassement, "I'm Tsukawa Etsuko," she bowed as the old woman chuckled.
"The three of you enjoy your time. Suko-chan will have company when Tsuchida is playing," she said as Anna raised a brow.
"Ah, Riko said we could bring a plus one if we wanted to watch or help. A few of the other players are bringing their younger sisters or something," Tsuchida explained.
"Oh, okay," Anna said.
"I'll be back!" She hugged her grandmother as she switched her shoes and held her boyfriend's hand.
"Let's go," Tsuchida said as they went.
"So you guys met at your grandparents' stall?" Anna asked as Etsuko nodded. She really isn't what like the rumours said about her, god I was so stupid to even think about that!
"Ah, yes!" she smiled, "love at first sight you can say."
"Ah," Anna smiled as she had a small flashback of when she met them with Seijuro holding hands.
"How did Suko-chan's grandmother know you Hirose-kun?" Tsuchida asked.
"Ah, it was a couple of years ago. When I was fourteen I met them at the star festival at night. My friend was going to buy me one of their pieces. She and her husband let me have the other half of the piece for free," she explained as the girl's eyes widened.
"They must have saw something," Etsuko smiled as Anna looked to her confused.
"My grandparent's business go back a few generations. Apparently it used be a really popular back in olden times. Since back the suspicions were so meticulous people had a good eye in choosing and recognising.
My grandparents make every piece different for each person and their purpose. To be honest as a kid I never really believed it, but when I met Sato-san I started believing it. When we both confessed on the next star festival he gave me one of my parents pieces," she smiled as her boyfriend blushed.
"That's so sweet," Anna complimented, "I hope you to stay happy for a long time."
"Same here," Tsuchida kissed her cheek as Anna suddenly felt like she was third wheeling all of a sudden.
"Don't worry Hirose-kun, if my grandparents saw something they wouldn't have gave you something like that so easily."
Anna only looked up at the blue sky, "I don't think so. We were very young back, and ahead of ourselves. We've gone very separate ways."
"My grandparents always told me the story of the two butterflies and made a moral out of it. Sometimes the rockiest of journies to find each other are the most worth while, I should know cause it took us a year to confess," Etsuko cheekingly said as her boyfriend blushed.
"Suko-chan!"
"Yeah, sure," Anna muttered as her eyes softened at the sight of the happy couple.
