𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐈𝐗:
Feelings

IT HAS BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE Jasper started to woo Genevieve, but the woman is still skeptical. She isn't sure of the feelings that she had felt every time she's with Jasper, the feeling of being on cloud nine every time he compliments her, the way he makes her undead heartbeat when he looks at her like she's the most precious woman he has ever seen, the way he makes her so nervous and excited at the same time when he visits her at night.

Genevieve was new to this,
nobody has ever expressed this much care and given her so much attention, sure she has dated other vampires, but nobody treated her this well. To say she was happy and scared at the same time because of the feelings she had been experiencing ever since Jasper.

Sure, she isn't supposed to compare her first lover to Jasper because they will never be the same, and he actually treats her really well. Jasper was her fresh breath of air, and she felt contented and protected at the same time. These newfound feelings were uncharted territory.

She wants to let him in, god, she wants to, but she is scared, she can't help to overthink the situation over and over again, but she wants to try. She can't help but admit to herself that she adored the newfound feelings.

The idea of love terrifies her.
Her last lover did a number on her. The thought of being vulnerable to someone makes her giddy.

She's been alone for so long that she doesn't know what to do when Jasper makes some romantic gestures to her, she just shies away, and it makes her look like she's an innocent schoolgirl. She doesn't hate it nor love it. It's a balance.

She resisted the mating bond, she didn't want to, but the protective barriers she had built over the years were strong. She just hopes that Jasper will be the one to destroy it.

JASPER, TOO, WAS NEW TO THESE FEELINGS. He must admit that he likes it. He had never felt this way before, not even with that wench Maria. He knows it's wrong to compare two women. Genevieve is far from Maria's level. Genevieve was perfect in his eyes.

He felt as if he was an empty shell ever since he was in the New Born army, and he resented the day that he became a vampire. It all went downhill since that day. One day he was the youngest soldier that rose up through the ranks at a very young age and became a Major General, then he became the most dangerous predator on top of the animal food chain.

He planned to starve himself if ever he left Maria and her coven, but the blood lust always took over and became overwhelming. He never enjoyed feeding off from humans since he could feel everything they felt.

Ever since Peter came back for him, he thought everything would be fine, but it didn't. His depression took over, the guilt and regret consumed him, and the blood on his hands was too much to handle, so he left Peter and Charlotte because he didn't want to be a burden. He didn't feel at peace.

The day he met Alice at the diner and she told him that someone was fated to be with him, that someone would help him and love him dearly, he felt hope, so he followed her then he met the Cullens and helped him with their type of lifestyle.

It didn't satisfy his thirst, but for his mate, he will do everything to be changed man just for her.

He wanted to leave the coven so many times and find her himself,
but they always stopped him and always told him that let fate decide.

Alice always says that he'll meet her soon, and he always believes her. He always asked Alice what his mate looked like, but she always answered that in her visions that, her face was always blurred.

For decades he pestered Alice on what was happening to his mate, but their decision was too quick to act on.

Then Alice had a clear vision of her that she would be arriving here in Forks. To say he was excited was an understatement. He was so goddamn happy that he felt that he was the happiest man on earth.

Many questions lingered in his mind. What if he tells her about his horrid past and leaves him? He can't blame him if she did. She deserves far better than him. Hell, he doesn't even deserve a mate, but they gave him one, and he will treasure her, care for her, and he will give her everything that he has if that means that she will be his and he will be hers.

She is his saving grace.
