Akina Tengan is a young woman with light caramel colored skin due to inheriting her mother's Moroccan genes and features (which skipped her mother) and has inherited more of her mothers ethnical features. Akina is quite tall (but her height is overshadowed by Satoru Gojo) with a noticeably full, curvaceous figure that she often wears revealing clothes over outside of her workplace as a teacher.

Due to inheriting her mother Afro Arabic roots, Akina's natural hair is black and originally curly and very wavy reaching close to her mid back but eventually grows to her waist line later in the first season, her long middle parted bangs usually frame her face. With her hair straightened, it shows itself to become longer and shows a glossier exterior but due to it's curly origins, it still curls slightly at the tips. Her hair straightened in the beginning reaches below her buttocks and eventually later in the first season it reaches to her mid thighs.

Whether curled or straightened and can always range differently depending on the mood she is in to style it or straighten her hair for two or three weeks, or even longe if she wants. Sometimes with either straightened or curled hairstyles, she tied and styles her hairs with ribbons and sometimes her current students will style her hair with flowers.

Her eyes are amethyst colored however it is noticed when she is experiencing intense emotions of anger, it will turn into a shade of red or sometimes even completely red.

She is also usually seen wearing makeup such as red lipstick or her signature cherry or strawberry flavored lipgloss at times. She also wears red or golden eyeshadow, black or golden winged eyeliner or other makeup that matches her caramel colored skin tone.

Underneath all of her clothing and on occasion small layers of makeup, Akina's skin is covered with scars of her past from missions and stories she has not told yet. Three of her most prominent scars on her body are on her right hand which resulted from a burn of an oil spill when she was little, a second one is on her neck which seems to be written in Kanji but it is unclear of what it says and one of three long slash that spreads across her back that resembles a a giant claw scratch mark of sort.

During the events of Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 (The Movie), Akina's outfit as a teacher consists of a black coat covering her whole figure with a plain black long sleeved shirt covered with a comfortable black corset decorated with silver cuff links and chains for decoration and black leggings black leggings that are stretchy and durable for battle with black leather straps with silver buckles wrapped around her legs.

For battle and even normal days as a teacher, she has black combat boots with laces she tucks into her shoes and keeps them secure and in place with metal cuff links.

For her hair she keeps in a half up half down style with a black ribbon (which was inspired by a personal favorite hairstyle as a child) and for adds a bit of makeup if her day is mundane; but the most she puts on is a bit of blush alongside red lipstick, black eyeliner and red eyeshadow. Her nails are painted metallic dark red.

For decoration, she often adds silver jewelry or any sort of gothic styled jewelry to her uniform (depending on if she has a mission or just a normal day of teaching that day).

During the events of Jujutsu Kaisen Season One, Akina's outfit as a teacher consists of a similar outfit during the events of Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 (The Movie) but with changes. This time, their outfit consists of more black leather exterior with a black coat that is almost floor length and is usually tightly closed around her chest. Her top is a black long sleeved shirt with the same durable material and black elbow length arm warmers along with her leggings which have a leather exterior, she has a black leather belt that is wrapped around her waist to keep her coat on her body and she sports knee length combat boots with silver cuff links.

For normal days which consist of no combat and teaching, Akina will add gothic accessories and jewelry for decorations.

For her hair, while she still keeps it in certain hairstyles with ribbons or other hair accessories. She usually keeps it loose and sometimes styles it into curled and waves but she will tie it up in a simple hairstyles if she needs too.

For makeup, she keeps her usually looks like in Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 (The Movie), this time she adds also a black lipstick color to her collection as well as cherry or strawberry flavored lipgloss, she even keeps golden colored or natural colored makeup depending on her mood. For her nails, she this time has them painted matte black and often decorates over them with patterns with red nail polish.

𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋:

For normal days and casual outfits, she wears the usual colors of black and red or any other that she is in the mood for. She also sports gold or silver jewelry grunge and goth styled jewelry and accessories.

𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑:

For her occupation as a teacher, while she sports her usual jujutsu sorcerer uniform, she also sports different outfits on different occasions depending on if she is needed for a mission or if she has to teach a whole class the day. Some days, she will be her most authentic self in wearing her usual style of clothing and aesthetics, other days she will be dressed more professionally in dresses and suits (with a little bit of a mix of her unique touch in the outfits).

𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍:

For missions, at times can be often more than a day and can be longer periods of times, makes sure that her outfits are durable, stretch and comfortable for battle. She usually wears professional outfits for meeting the other jujutsu sorcerers she accompanies on the missions or the clients she has been hired to help. Her suits and outfits often have cursed tools and weapons easily hidden alongside a bag to carry souvenirs for her students and with other objects of emergency use such as cellphones and more.

𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋:

All formal events are categorized differently in each of her different styles depending on the events that is attending:

If she is on a romantic date with a man or woman. Akina styles herself in her signature colors of red and black with beautiful dresses that accentuate her figure and bring out her unique tastes. Depending on the date and locations, Akina often has different outfits for different locations and occasions. She also has shoes to match as well and often styles her hair to whatever she feels like and adds jewelry to match with the outfits.

For formal events, whether it be with the school or another event planned for her novels, Akina has a range of beautiful dresses mainly in red for the event. These dresses range in different styles and also accessories to fit with the dress, Akina matches these outfits with red jewelry and hairstyles she best believe would suit the dresses.

For any fancy parties and balls she is invited too, Akina has the perfect blend of gold, black and red dresses. Depending on the theme of the ball or fancy party (if there is one), if it formal or if she is allowed to add a bit of her unique taste and a mixture of her sensual self in the mix. She has gold, red and black shoes to match her dresses as well as jewelry and accessories as well.

For meetings at work that consist of planning battles or any parties with her coworkers, her choices in clothing are more professional and formal. She usually has her outfits in black and are a bit more modest in design. The colors mainly consist of black and white and she often adds silver jewelry or onyx and pearl jewelry as well.

When she is combat training or sparring with her father, her younger adoptive brother Panda, her coworker Satoru Gojo or the students, Akina keeps these outfits plain, simple and comfortable. Usually with sweatpants, tank tops, sneakers and occasionally hoodies as well. She sports any clothes during those lessons in combat that are durable, stretchy and comfortable for battle.

To have the luxury of taking the day off, whether it would be to write her novels, lounge about or even have a Netflix marathon with her students. It's a good day to be just wearing an oversized t-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie and pair it with a pair of comfortable shorts and sweatpants. The ultimate way to relax for Akina Tengan.

During the night time, whether Akina is able to sleep peacefully for the night or unless she is awake to write her novels, to comfort her students or spending time with Satoru Gojo, Talking to him about the universe. As the strongest jujutsu sorceress, a lot remains a mystery about Akina Tengan. To most, she is as described as a dangerous woman and a force to be reckoned with in the world of jujutsu. She is a woman with intense passionate emotions as well as an intelligent and strong individual and jujutsu sorcerer, not only does the strength include physical prowess, speed and her expertise in jujutsu sorcerer but to her mind and mental prowess as well.

Although she possesses great strength and power, she is very feminine and despite not really showing it, she can be quite sensitive but she makes sure that her shield to hide her vulnerable side never slips. Despite her calm and collected exterior, there are times where she worries about the students, the deadlines in publishing her novels and the many stressors of a jujutsu sorceress who has the world in her hands and the higher ups who are ready to stab a knife in her back.

Akina is known to be a loner and even prefers to work alone on most missions and even as a person learned how to value her own company and space to herself, but this was most likely forced due to the chronic loneliness she grew up with in her early childhood that even reached to her late teen years. While Akina might not admit it, she greatly enjoys the company of her coworkers and her students, as she states make her job more bearable and she shows to really treasure the fun times they have together.

Despite her exterior and aura, especially her power and cursed energy which has made her feared by humans and all jujutsu sorcerers combined, that makes her seem intimidating at first glance. Akina is a generally a very warm, kind and welcoming person. This is shown when she helped both Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori when they were new students in Jujutsu Tech and helped them manage their new powers and understand themselves in the world of jujutsu alongside her coworker Satoru Gojo.

She has a strong and firm stand against the higher ups corrupt system, with her strong and powerful and impeccable vocabulary that she uses to hold the higher ups accountable for any unfavorable and offensive behaviors. To them, she is known to be "brutally honest" towards them to the point where they have even tried to keep her quiet many times, but all their attempts have failed. She can put them in their place and will always defend her students and innocent lives from them.

However, whenever it comes to meeting new people, she is rather soft spoken and polite, due to taking time to observe the person and their mannerisms and seeing what kind of person they are.

Akina is shown to be very patient and even maternal when it comes to the students of jujutsu tech, who always view of the "Mom Of Jujutsu Tech", this patience is even extended to her carefree and nonchalant co-worker Satoru Gojo; whom she understands that he cares for his students but still can get annoyed by his antics as well.

To her students and even those close to her, she is also supportive and understanding to those when they need someone to talk to, even showing empathy and genuine kindness to students such as Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji Itadori and Junpei Yoshino before they entered Jujutsu Tech.

Akina is an extremely talented and creative writer and artist, she has written and released many novels since the age of fifteen. She is also an extremely talented and skilled jujutsu sorceress and is feared and looked down by the higher ups. Unlike her coworker Satoru Gojo, she is extremely hard working and diligent not as a sorcerer, but also as a student when she was homeschooled by her father in her teen years. She is self confident in her skills and abilities (but not to the point of overconfidence like Satoru Gojo), this confidence even goes to her physical appearance.

While not vain, she does acknowledge that her physical appearance as well as her physical assets on her body and sexual and mysterious aura and prowess are what draw people to her and at times, even uses it to her advantage. Even due to her high empathy, her impeccable vocabulary and her ability to use her charming personality, she is able to manipulate her enemies and sometimes (but on very rare occasions) other people.

However, many are surprised to see that Akina can be truly humble and is always willing to improve or switch her training methods for her students and is always training to improve her skills as a jujutsu sorceress, a teacher, writer and artist.

Akina strangely holds a realistic but also ideal and optimistic view on life. She shows the optimistic view point to cheer up those around her, whether it be her friends, coworkers or her students.

Akina is also very strong and independent as well, however due to her past she is known to become over-independent and often has trouble asking for help even when it is known that she needs assistance. Due to this, she can often be prone to burnouts and working herself to extreme exhaustion and even sickness as well.

She is also known to be quite sassy and can even teasing and flirtatious towards Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto (before they events of Jujutsu Kaisen: 0 (The Movie)), even to the point of making them flustered and she often enjoys seeing their reactions and blushing faces. She can be also quite lustful and seductive towards a few people who catch her attention, with her sensual aura along with her charm and charisma, she can have men and women woven and in control at her fingertips.

At times, opposite to her usual mature appeal there are times where she can also be quite childish as well when she can't defeat an opponent or she loses an argument against someone and she can also be very impatient and impulsive at times. She may also come off as blunt and brutally honest with a few people she dislikes, but she at times can say comments without any filters unintentionally. She can also scold or tell off people when they are in the wrong.

In spite of all these, Akina can also be laidback and carefree at times. She enjoys spending her time watching horror movies and mystery documentaries. She has a habit of solving things by force even when it is unnecessary due to her confidence in her abilities and her impulsivity. She even admits that she likes being seen as the older sister/mother figure to the students of Jujutsu Tech.

However, not many people know that she wasn't always this strong and confident woman that she portrays herself to be now. As a child and even a teenager, not many know of her being a soft spoken and even quieter person she was until the point of meekness. She carries heavy internal burdens and battles of her past and in her mind that is hard for her to battle at times (and sometimes she even loses). After being adopted by Masamichi Yaga in her late childhood, she became a fast learner of her technique and the world of jujutsu sorcery in general.

With a lot of challenges, finding her identity, other traumatic events which left her with CPTSD in the present and hard truths she had to learn about herself and the world she lived in, trust issues and her over independence is what she believed would make her survive in this harsh world. However, with eventually learning to trust her father and herself, she eventually started to grow into the person others around her loved and admired all around her. Akina wants to move forward with perseverance and willingness to help others with a smile on her face. Using the pain of her past and what hurt her to help others and reassure herself that no pain is permanent. She carries confidence in herself as much as possible, hoping to uplift and motivate her students by example.

In the present, Akina is feared by the higher ups, even to the point where Akina could easily postpone the executions of dangerous fellow jujutsu sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu and the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji Itadori. She even knows that she's powerful enough to kill them all and overthrow the corrupt jujutsu society that they live in. While she is as powerful as Satoru Gojo in terms of cursed energy and battle prowess, she has hidden cursed techniques with Ayaka Amamiya's cursed techniques due to being her vessel.

She is capable of easily fighting against high powered special grade curses. Making many cursed spirits such as Ryomen Sukuna, Kenjaku and many more wary of her power. It is questioned by many if she and Satoru Gojo would go against in battle and who would win. While the two playfully spar most of the time, Akina shows incredibly strength even in a small sparing match and is capable of even outmatching Satoru at the end of a match.

Raging Volcano or Mighty Mountain is a technique used by Akina to decide the fate of a cursed spirit or a curse user, whether their punishment/death should be quick and swift or slow and painful.

The "Punishments" go by two choices when the technique chooses:

The Might Mountain punishment allows for the cursed spirit or curse user (or any other opponent of Akina's) body to be pinned down by rock beneath them, encasing their body and a giant boulder crashes their body as they are knocked unconscious by Akina.

The Raging Volcano punishment has the cursed spirit as the first one, has their body encased in a giant rock but this time, the opponent is thrown into a giant volcano filled with molding boiling lava and once her opponent has been thrown into the volcano, they burn slowly and painfully, leaving only their screams or writhing agony.

Her magic is primarily composed of the same red energy as her forbidden arts of magic and jujutsu and spiritual powers of the same red and black energy, it is also later revealed that Akina can wield her magic subconsciously without needing constant concentration to sustain the changes she's made. At first, Akina had difficulty controlling this power, however upon taking in to study her magic and become formally trained by a jujutsu sorceress, Akina gained more experience in the control of her magic.

It has been noted that in her childhood, when a teacher praised her for her writing quoting exactly "you have a way with words", this is what motivated Akina into writing her novels. She has taken lessons in her youth to improve her skills and even writing novels, many people have praised her talents or have shut them down due to being closed minded on important and uncomfortable subjects. Akina still writes novels to this day.

Not only does her cursed techniques, spiritual powers and magic often have a negative on her health due to over usage at certain times but Akina often has a tendency to ignore it as well. Not only with her cursed techniques but also in normal instances she tends to overwork herself until she is burnt out and even ignores her health concerns until she is sick and cannot be ignored anymore.

Despite her independence being a strength of hers, it can also be a weakness. This is shown when she needs help the most but cannot accept due to being afraid of accepting help due to her trauma in the past and also believing she must do everything by herself. There have been many instances where her over independence has cost her many things, especially her life at times.

While as responsibility can be a strength, Akina has become over-responsible. She has the tendency to bite more than she can chew at times, she has a tendency to try and control things that can't be controlled by her and often it backfires at times. This shows as well when she sets high expectations for herself than she can handle at times.

While she is confident in her skills, Akina has times where she can be impulsive and reckless with her actions and decisions. This is shown in her youth on missions where she sometimes leaps before she looks.

This is a trait not only as she had since her youth but also something she has picked up from her adoptive father, Masamichi Yaga, in her youth. While this has helped her in her youth, this has also backfired for her many times.

Despite her confident display most of the time, most people do not know that Akina is very critical of herself. Of her mistakes in the past, the presence and the guilt and burdens she carries as the strongest jujutsu sorceress. She can critical in her looks as well as her negative personality traits and many other aspects of herself.

Due to her past and her empathetic nature, Akina can be quite generous and helpful. However this can be negative as well as she always puts those she loves and values over herself multiple times.
