"Don't leave me again..."
---------------------------------------------
Yumeko was a very hands-on type of person when it came to physical affection. Despite many of Hyakkaou's students being very well reserved and private, Yumeko was the type to roam around freely and hug whoever she pleased.
Of course, this caused some discomfort for the other students, but you were different. Having been starved from affection for so long, whenever Yumeko hugged you, it felt as if all your anxieties had melted away. Causing you to practically melt in her arms as your lover poured her absolute love into you. Truly, it was a pleasurable experience for the both of you.
It was rather unfortunate however, that you didn't get to see Yumeko often. Sure, you two were dating, but you weren't exactly in the same classes as her. Which meant the only times you could see each other, were at lunch and after school.
It was treacherous. Having to wait for hours upon hours on end to finally embrace your lover. The feeling of over-seeping loneliness and hunger gnawing at your chest as you desperately craved to feel the love you never once got as a child. It was torture, but so, so worth it. To finally hug her again meant that you were safe again. Away from the loneliness, away from the abandonment.
To be with Yumeko, was like being with an angel.
So now here you were, wringing at your fingers impatiently as you watched the clock tick down. Your classmates growing more and more skittish as they awaited to either go home, or go gamble at the gambling dens.
The air was tense, the teacher glancing at the clock as the minutes ticked down to seconds.
'Five...four...'
You bit your lip and drummed your nails anxiously. Already feeling excitement rise up to your chest.
'Three...two...'
You scratched the back of your hand, a smile beginning to overtake your features as the minute hand moved.
'One.'
The bell rang as the class vigorously got up. Murmuring and chatter drifting through the air as the teacher begrudgingly dismissed his students. Finally, you could see Yumeko again!
Hurrying out of your seat, you nearly collided into another student as you rushed to go find Yumeko. Excitement spiraling out of control as you whizzed around every corner of the hallway. Trying hard not to run into any high-authority students.
The last time you ran in the halls...it did not end well...
Manyuda was still extremely pissed at you for running head-first into his chest. Boy did you have to write one heck of an apology...
Nevertheless, you continued to race around the halls, expecting to find your gambling-addicted demon standing outside her classroom waiting for you. But instead...there was no one there. Her classroom was empty, and there was no one around the classroom for you to ask.
'Yumeko isn't here...she couldn't have abandoned me...right...?'
You shook your head and peeked inside her classroom again. Making sure that there was no one there. Sure enough, it was empty.
'No...she wouldn't leave me...'
You looked around the corners, only to find them empty and without a trace of your beloved Yumeko. The atmosphere of a lonely hallway slowly closing in on your mind.
'Calm down...she...she might be using the bathroom...or...'
Quickly, you felt your heart begin to pound. Thoughts of Yumeko ditching you for some other person making your skin all sweaty. Your fingers twitching in a panicky state as you felt your lip tremble.
'No. Yumeko isn't like that. Yumeko won't leave me...she'd never do that...'
You decided to wait patiently for her and sit down in the hallway. Pushing away any negative thoughts you had in hopes for Yumeko to come back. Come back for you and embrace you like always.
"I can wait..." you whispered to yourself, "A little longer...a little longer..."
The minutes increased with every passing moment. You leaning against the wall for support as you felt panic slowly build up in your throat. Counting a full ten minutes while you waited for Yumeko.
'A little longer...a little longer...' you repeated.
Unconsciously, you felt your eyes grow hotter as the minutes went on. Dragging out your wait as you began to shamelessly cry to yourself in public. 'Stop it...stop it...' you told yourself. 'You're crying in school. Stop it...!'
But you couldn't help it. Your body rejected your feelings and continued to make you cry. Your nose starting to get all runny as tears welled up in your face. Burying your puffy eyes into your knees as you held them close to your chest.
'Maybe she did leave me... I'm so clingy anyways...'
Your stomach churned with that same hunger again. A burning blizzard of coldness overbearing your senses as you found yourself in that lonely place once more.
A ditch of abandonment. Where the warmth of another human being was so far away from you, it was almost impossible to reach. You hated it. It was always so cold, so dark. It made you want to hug someone. To feel their embrace once more.
But...without Yumeko...that feeling was left untreated. Your clawing anxiety eating you out like a leeching parasite. Feeding off your desire to be loved, and causing you to shrivel into a pathetic mess on the floor.
"Please come back..." you whispered, squeezing your eyes shut as you choked out a sob.
"Don't leave me again..."
You cursed at yourself for being so pathetic. So needy. Why were you like this? Why were you so hungry for her? It was stupid. It was useless. You were useless.
It was probably why she abandoned you.
You let out a small, strangled sob of despair as you hugged your knees closer to your chest. The sun from a nearby window beaming down at your shriveled figure as you continued to cry. 'I just wanted to see you again...'
But then... as if your wishes had come true, a warm feeling had suddenly enveloped you. Like a sheltering blanket from a storm, you felt a pair of warm arms wrap around your small figure. "Y/N?" came a heavenly voice. "Please don't cry..."
The voice was very soothing. A comforting sound that lead you away from your ditch of anxiety. The cold, dark room of your dismay, slowly crumbling to pieces as you made eye contact with your lover.
"H...Huh?" your vision was all blurry from the tears. Yumeko's beautiful brown eyes staring at you lovingly as she tried to sympathetically comfort you.
"Please don't cry, Y/N. I'm here...I'm right here..."
Despite being a literal psychopath, Yumeko tried her best to empathize and comfort you. Stroking your hair softly as she pulled you close to her chest. Practically smothering your face with her breasts as she whispered for you to calm down.
"Don't leave me...don't leave me..." you murmured out. Still trying to get out of your dark place.
"I won't, I promise," Yumeko assured, kissing your forehead. "I'm not like them. I will never be like them."
She still had that same, calming smile like always. Humming a small, nonchalant tune as she embraced you in the middle of the hallway.
"This...girl..." Yumeko grit her teeth at her mention, "Practically kidnapped Suzui and I for a gamble. I apologize for keeping you waiting, Y/N." She kissed your nose in an attempt to soothe you once more. Running her fingers down the small of your back as she whispered closely in your ear.
"Please don't cry, my love. I will never purposely abandon you. Not ever, in forever," she leaned back and held up her pinky finger. Smiling warmly at you. "That is a promise."
You sniffed and looked up at her weakly, "But..."
"No buts. I intend to spend the rest of my life with you, Y/N. I will never part with you, and that is final." her pinky finger lingered in the air, twitching for you to connect it with yours. Hesitantly, you interlocked your finger with hers.
"Is...Is this a proposal?" you timidly laughed, wiping your nose with the sleeve of your uniform.
Yumeko giggled, holding your pinky with hers as she brushed your hair away. "I did say I'd never leave you. So...I suppose it is," her eyes softened as she leaned in for a kiss. Making you practically melt in her arms as the two of you kissed under the beaming, sun-lit window of the hallway. The feeling of Yumeko hugging you nearly making you cry again.
"I intend to spend the rest of my life with you, Y/N." her words made you shiver with delight as you felt your face burn a bright crimson. 'Yumeko would never leave me...' your thoughts repeated.
'She would never part with me, and that is final.'
