Yoongi searched through the fridge. The small, yet blinding light obscured his vision. As he searched, he heard Jungkook cough behind him. Yoongi straightened up, chuckling.

"You don't need to be worried about me you know," he blinked as he turned around to face Jungkook.

"I'm not worried, just...concerned." Yoongi furrowed his brows, placing the eggs he had been searching for on the bench top.

"They both mean the same thing." The room fell silent as Jungkook thought.

"Dammit," he whispered under his breath, "what I meant to say was, yes I'm worried. I mean you showed up out of the blue a few weeks ago, I barley even remembered you, and now you're cooking in my kitchen, I mean do you even cook?"

"And you're only worried now?" Yoongi questioned with a smile as he shut the fridge door. Completely ignoring the fact that Jungkook questioned his ability to cook.

"Well, yes," Jungkook blurted, "but I'm only vocally worried now, I was worried from the beginning."

Yoongi nodded. It had been five years now, and it hadn't been his first thought to find Jungkook, his first thought had been to leave Jimin. He hadn't deserved Jimin's love from the very beginning and he knew that very well, every single evil thing he did to Hoseok, to Taehyung moved him further and further away from Jimin. Until it came to the point that the distance between him and Jimin was too great to bear.

Even though Yoongi deeply regretted his actions, even though he would do anything to reverse time and really apologise to Hoseok, who had been his friend for a very long time indeed, and even though Yoongi wanted to help Jungkook to heal his past and heal his regrets. He never dared tell anyone that he was ashamed of it all. He never even explained to Jimin why he had to leave, he had only stared as Jimin's smile faded and eyes turned empty.

"Hey! Earth to Yoongi?" Jungkook raised his voice slightly, "I think you have to turn the stove on to cook anything." He mumbled, pointing a finger at the stove. Yoongi didn't reply and instead turned to face Jungkook.

"What really happened that night Jungkook?" He inquired, leaning on the bench top. Jungkook was taken aback by this question, he faced away from Yoongi.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Oh don't be stupid-"

"You're being really insensitive right now Yoongi," Jungkook stated sternly.

The past Yoongi would've laughed, he would've told Jungkook to stop with the idiocy and he would've made him talk. The past Yoongi was gone, it was no longer who Yoongi was.

"I-I'm sorry, I just lose control of myself sometimes," Yoongi genuinely apologised.

"I lose control of myself sometimes too. That's how I ended up here, like this," Jungkook ran a hand through his air, sighing in exasperation, "I can't even look at myself in the mirror anymore."

Yoongi nodded, to show that he understood.

"What about him?" Yoongi asked Jungkook as he turned around to face the stove once again.

"Him? Him who?" Jungkook slowly wheeled closer towards Yoongi.

"Taehyung, what about him?" It took a while for Jungkook to remember that name, to remember him, but when he did. He wanted to forget.

"I never want to see him for as long as I live." Jungkook huffed, Yoongi stared at him in disbelief, he was amazed by how quickly he had replied. "Everything about that day is still a blur, and even now it feels like I'm trapped in this endless ocean of not being able to remember anything, but when you said that name. I remembered everything about him, I remembered everything he did."

Yoongi chuckled under his breath.

"You remind me of someone you know?" Yoongi watched as Jungkook's faced softened.

"That's a really odd thing to say when I'm clearly angry."

"Well, anger was this person's ruin. I don't think it should be yours." Yoongi stared into Jungkook's eyes. "Maybe we should find Taehyung, talk to him, get him back."

Yoongi waited patiently for Jungkook to reply, but he said nothing. Yoongi took this as a cue to stop talking and resumed back to cooking whatever meal he had planned earlier.

"I'm sorry Yoongi, but I don't want to do that, and I don't want you to either." Jungkook finally uttered. It was so soft, almost a whisper, but Yoongi heard it as clear as day.

"It's the only way you can move on Jungkook." Jungkook scoffed at Yoongi's remark.

"Or is it the only way that you can move on?"

I know right now nothing much is happening,
But trust me it will get better (hopefully).
