Taehyung was not one to have honey in his tea, in fact he rarely had tea, yet in this moment tea with a teaspoon of honey seemed to be the perfect remedy for a troublesome soul. Hoseok sat before him, his eyes still, yet dazzling like the lucent moon, that hung freely above the heavy clouds. He was tapping his fingers on the table in rhythm to the silk-like music that could be heard playing outside, it was not a particularly good song; just another telling of the unfeigned tale of a love lost, but seeing that Hoseok enjoyed it, instantly caused Taehyung to favour it.

Hoseok stopped the seemingly ceaseless tapping that had mesmerised Taehyung. "For so long, I did not know who I was without you." Hoseok whispered gently, so as not to disturb the ocean within Taehyung's eyes, "I never thought that I would be able to move forward without you. I think that when you walked away from me that night, you took all my hope with you." He uttered. Taehyung nodded in return, how many nights had Hoseok laid in bed crying tears sea deep for him?

"Maybe if I had listened to you, everything would have been better by now," Taehyung retorted, taking the russet brown mug into his hands and lifting it up to his lips, "maybe even fixed." He took a small sip of the warm liquid, the fruity taste teasing his tastebuds.

"Tae, nothing will ever be fixed. It can't be fixed while you are still guilt ridden about Jungkook." Hoseok stated, as Taehyung placed the mug down on the table, his hand still lingering beside it. Nothing could be said in that moment of truth. Hoseok stared into Taehyung's eyes, waiting patiently for an answer, when he did not say anything Hoseok took Taehyung's hand into his own. They were cold, the type of cold that longs for warmth, he ran his thumb over the veins on his hand. "It-it's difficult to forgive, I know, I also know that Jungkook won't be happy to see you but is it not worth a try? You say that you have been running all your life, that you are afraid to be with me because you are still ashamed of what happened between you and Jungkook. I have said this a million times Tae, and I will say it again. I would have you as you are, I am not afraid to do so. Yet you are, can't you see that? Can't you see that being unable to know that Jungkook forgives you is breaking us apart?" Hoseok stopped and looked at Taehyung who had been listening to every single word intently, even through the fatigue. "This...this whole time, I have always thought that the one who caused us grief was Yoongi, but he only caused pain. It was really Jungkook who moved us further from each other." Hoseok finished, letting go of Taehyung's hand.

"I know, and maybe it's time that I let that guilt go, I don't even know where he is." Taehyung stated, wishing that Hoseok had held his hand a little longer.
"But I do, I know where he is, well I know someone that knows where he is." Hoseok stated, Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
"Who?"
"It's, Yoongi. He knows where Jungkook is, and I'll be there with you every step of the way Taehyung, I promise."

Taehyung seemed to have a far away look in his eyes, Hoseok knew that it was all too much for him. The thought of Jungkook being so close, the fact that he would have to see Yoongi again. Yet the biggest change that remained on Taehyung's mind was the man that sat before him, he would have to start from the very beginning with Hoseok.

"Do you...do you still like me?" Taehyung questioned, gazing at Hoseok who was suddenly full of ebullience, he giggled to himself before answering.

"There will always be a part of me that holds you very dear and loves more than anything. Even when I'm angry, even when I want to forget you. There really is no getting rid of you Kim Taehyung." Hoseok uttered with a grin, Taehyung chuckled softly in return. This is what he wanted, this feeling of affection and benevolence, Hoseok's soft eyes and strong features, the smell of home that he left on Taehyung's skin. He wanted it all, more than anything in this world. It would take them time to be whispering 'I love you's' to each other, but Taehyung would give his whole life to be with Hoseok again, even if it wasn't forever.

"I'm sorry for everything I said Hoseok."

"I know you are, and it will take me time to forgive you." Taehyung gave Hoseok a small smile before nodding. If only the past him would have known that he would come to regret all his actions in the future, it was only now that Taehyung realised that he himself had been hurting all these years, keeping away from Hoseok, lying not only to himself but everyone around him. He turned to face away from the older male, focusing on the soft musicーwhich was all too familiarーplaying outside.

"Do you remember this song?" Taehyung mumbled, to which Hoseok raised an eyebrow, he concentrated on the tune, the melody.

"it's...it's our song, do you remember?" Taehyung was barely speaking above a whisper, he turned to face Hoseok, who seemed to have an endless glow. The corners of Hoseok's lips twitched up into a sheepish smile.

"Hm, how can I forget it?" Taehyung smiled at Hoseok's response. In that moment, Taehyung did not remember his worries, instead he focused on the lyrics to the song and slowly yet surely began singing. His voice low and husky and full of so much emotion. He sang in a way that Hoseok had forgotten, in a way that Hoseok had missed. Every word causing the hair on his arms to stand and smile to broaden.

Hoseok only saw Taehyung. The way his face had a youthful glow, how his lips looked softer, delicate, desirable and the way lyrics easily rolled off his tongue. As if the song had been made especially for the younger and no one else.

Hoseok enjoyed the way time seemed to stand still, to listen, to stare as Taehyung sang. Beckoning the minutes, hours and seconds to be patient.

And as Taehyung continued to sing, Hoseok smiled affectionately, he smiled because he knew that Taehyung sang only for him. He stopped time, silenced the ocean and opened the gates of heaven for Hoseok. With every elegant word that slipped through the seams of his mouth, the desire to kiss the younger only became much more unbearable. He grew ever so impatient.

Till Hoseok could not take it no more.
