"you think they are gonna follow us?" jake was nervous, really nervous.
he felt the fear creeping at his soul, restraining his spirit.
he could feel the blood pumping trough his veins, the beating of his heart in his head.
he was scared but not for himself, for her, for neytiri; for the na'vi, for pandora.
the sky people were about to attack their home and they would've did everything they could to win.
he had toruk but it wasn't gonna be enough, not if they were alone against all those people.
no, they were going to need more.
they were going to beg for it if it was necessary.
and jake was sure that it was going to be.
because they were going to ask the devils themselves for something that not even a god gave them — not yet.
they were going to ask for help.
"no." answered neytiri, she had been the one to suggest that little mission; she knew exactly where they were going, what they were doing.
and jake knew that.
he knew he could trust that woman with his life, she had prove that many times, and he hoped that he could prove that too.
saving her world, her home.
but her answer left him open mouthed anyway.
"what are we doing then?" his voice was just pure confusion , and curiosity, as he looked at her back.
they were flying over the forest, trying to find 'the right point' — that's what she had called it.
"they are not gonna follow us" there was a pause between her sentences and he wasn't sure if it was to make him feel even more nervous or just to help her think about what she should say.
"but they will follow them." she pointed towards a slightly bigger three, and only then jake noticed that there was a small habitation at the top of it.
it was connected to the plant itself, some branch clearly growing inside of it, helping it stay up and strong.
there were only two people inside.
and those two where your parents

the end of the arrow was pointing towards the water, a small fish was swimming slowly between the rocks.
the light reflected on the clean water but nothing except for the quiet could be heard.
the bow was taut.
ready to let the small weapon fly and hit the animal in front of it.
a small breath broke the silence.
with brows furrowed you tried to open your chest, putting yourself in the perfect position.
and then you let it go.
you watched as it tried to move away but before it could use its full force the hard point passed trough its body.
you smiled to yourself, now you had your lunch.
you murmured a small thanks to eywa as you walked into the water, it was cold, and you felt the difference in the temperature between your feet and your ankles.
you took the arrow with one hand and with the other you freed the fish from it.
"good shot" called a voice from your side.
you rolled your eyes but you still looked down, not caring about the na'vi that was talking to you.
"what? tsahik got your tongue?" you could hear the teasing in her tone, and the smirk on her face.
you finally looked up, her big eyes looked like they were challenging you every time you did.
you walked past her, pointing towards your house.
"oh, is the baby angry?" she mocked you as she walked around you, she always knew how to push your button.
how to make you go crazy.
you hissed at her, right into her face.
she didn't move nor flinch, it didn't do anything against her.
and you knew that.
but you still tried, every time.
"oh my god! you actually scared me back there you know?! you're so powerful, and strong" a growl under your breath, and for a second it almost looked as she was considering her own words and not just making fun of you.
"you know, mother wouldn't be happy with the way your acting" she said as she skipped in front of you, stopping you from going anywhere else "especially towards me"
her look hardened as she said the last words, almost as if she was letting the facade fell, not caring anymore.
"too bad she's dead" you replied, nothing in your tone or in your face; nothing that could give her a hint of what you were feeling.
or at least that's what you had thought.
"and whose fault is that?" she asked, still trying to get something out of you "not mine for sure"
you knew where she was going with that, and you sighed in annoyance as she replied the same sentence once again.
"i told you that we can't be like that, we can't be good. we're born to fight, to end them" she sounded a little too determinate this time, and it actually worried you.
you couldn't let her instincts take over, but how could you stop her?
she was older than you, she was stronger than you, and she was crazier than you.
you had your own instincts to control, your own thoughts, your own bad side.
you couldn't waste your time babysitting.
"tì you say the same words every time" you took a small breath, making it look as you were revealing your biggest, darkest, secret "don't you think that one day i started to not give a fuck about it?"
as soon as those words left your mouth two hands were against your shoulder, pushing you back with all their force.
your back was against the tree, the wood hitting your back and scratching it with all its splinters.
you felt her hot breath against your skin and you scrunched your face pretending to smell her bad breath.
"listen here kitty" she used the last word just after she had took your whole figure in, from your small fangs to your nonexistent glare "i took care of you since i can remember, you own me your fucking life. so you better show me some respect!"
she didn't raise her voice, but it would've been less scarier if she did.
you felt fear, you couldn't lie about it.
but you didn't care, you pretended like you weren't feeling anything, looking at her right into her purple orbs as she pushed you harder.
you hissed as you felt some blood dripping down your back, knowing that it would've been a pain to take care of.
she huffed, a smirk on her face.
was she proud of what you were doing?
you couldn't tell, she was difficult too understand.
and not because she was some cryptic, mysterious thing.
but because she was stupid, crazy.
and because even thought she was your sister, she was nothing like you.

the t'herkaya had created a very specific way to keep their tribe from falling into the path of the darkness again.
and it was with the help of eywa.
how could it not, she was the one thing holding it all together.
and she was the one thing that you had sweared to protect.
the t'herkaya said that when you are ready she would chose you; doesn't matter where, when or how.
it's just that sooner or later she would.
and your day arrived a lot sooner than you had expected.
but you could've never been more grateful for that.
until you were together your sister never got her call, nothing ever happened.
but it wasn't a problem.
no one ever made her feel like it was and as you both waited for your moment you used the base of your tribe as your point of reference.
even though it wasn't a home.
or at least for you it never felt like it.
but it was something were you knew you could stay without problems.
well except for one, a big one even,
tìkawng,
your sister.
she was strange, different.
you understood that sometimes, she had felt your mothers death a lot more than you.
but that didn't justify her actions.
she was your rival in every field, she didn't want the tribe to be clean, she wanted the tribe to rule, to kill, to conquer.
she wanted to be what they all thought you already were.
killers.
so when one day you went on a small walk in the forest and you found a palulukan that looked strangely too calm, you didn't thought twice about following it as it took you into the forest, away from her.
you didn't feel scared, you knew you could trust it.
but even if in that moment you felt like you were finally free as you followed eywa, you would've never done that again if you knew what would've happened.
what she would've done.
because the only thing more dangerous than a beast, is a beast searching for revenge.
and she was.
but the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
