𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐔𝐊'𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃, his screech echoed around the village like a siren in the middle of the night; your eyes shoot around as you tried to look for a familiar face.

soon na'vi started to came out from their tent, weapons already in their hands ready for whatever you were going to give them.

you didn't blame them, not even in the slightest.

a crowd started to form, screams of war were coming from their throat as they recognized your body, your eyes, your print

you called his name as you jumped down toruk, leaving him behind you to look over you; not like he would've gone anywhere else knowing that you were there all alone.

you hissed in pain as your weight was forced on your still injured leg but you tried to cover it — letting a whole tribe see that you were in disadvantage wasn't a good thing.

"neteyam" you repeated once again as your hands moved upwards, showing that you were unarmed.

you knew that it wasn't gonna be enough, but you weren't going to give them more then that.

they looked scared, really scared; the children hided themselves behind the adults which held their knives and bows up towards you.

but when you said that name you could see as they murmured to one another, trying to understand what was really happening.

a call for your name, a little voice that you would've easily recognized everywhere.

you turned your head and you saw tuk, trying to create a path between the bodies, she tried to hiss and punch, all just to arrive to you.

"don't move" you told her calmly and you watched as her determinate expression changed to one of confusion.

the na'vi didn't understand, you were too calm to be ready to go all alone against all of them.

they knew how dangerous you were but could you really win against that? where you really that dangerous? that reckless?

"neteyam" you sing songed as you rolled your eyes, you didn't have all that time and it was taking him really too much to go from whenever his tent was to your point.

the na'vi talked all one over the other, and even if you would've wanted to answer to them — which you didn't — it would've been impossible to understand what they were saying.

before you could scream for the boy once again, you heard your name get called.

you looked towards the sound and as the screams stopped you found a pair of yellow eyes in front of you, this time other na'vi easily creating a path to let him walk.

"what's happening? why are you here? have you gone mad?!" he started to say as his hands tried to move to your shoulders, he noticed your wrapped leg and the dirt cut on your shoulder — the one done by his mother.

before your skins could came in contact you hissed and the weapons were up on you again, making you scoff in annoyance.

neteyam understood where you were coming from and he quickly turned around.

"weapons down! don't attack!" he told them as he motioned with his own hands for the people to calm down.

"are you crazy, kid?" said a voice, and some others agreed.

"did you look at her?"

"she's a t'herkaya! a monster!"

chaos ensued in seconds and you tried to look around to spot something that would've helped you gain their attention

"what's going on" a single voice, and everyone was silent.

this time not even a soul dared to murmur.

a woman — more precisely neytiri — made her way in front of you, jake right behind her with their children.

her eyes fell on you and her stance changed, she took some silent steps as her yellow orbits never left your purple ones.

she circled you, she hissed in your face and you hissed back, not moving your feet from their spot on the ground.

everyone was watching intensely waiting for the worst.

until she stopped back where she started, her head slightly tilting to the side as her mouth opened.

"why are you here?" one glare that would've made everyone else froze in fear "you ran away and now you want to fight?" she accused as her face came near to yours.

"i'm not searching for a fight" you answered back your fangs becoming even more visible now as you growled in each others faces.

neteyam and jake did their moves then, figuring that it was the best moment to divide the two of you.

"then why are you here?" questioned jake, only waiting for the right answer to not let his whole tribe go against you.

your eyes moved to neteyam, and even if they didn't want to see it jake and neytiri noticed the slight worried look that took over your expression.

"because they're coming" those words made everyone petrify, they didn't know why, they didn't even know who was coming, but their muscles stopped anyway.

"who? who is coming?" he asked nervous more then ever.

he had never thought that he could've witnessed you being that worried, for him you were this immortal and indestructible being that nothing could've ever hurt.

but here you were, almost begging for him to ground you while still being against any form of public affection , as you confessed the one thing.

"my sister" your eyes hardened again as you took a small step away from the boy, looking at his parents to confirm the situation.

"she has the tribe on her side and she's coming to kill you, all of you" you didn't move your eyes from the two adults, why where you always the one being put in those situation? how could you come and say to little tuk something like that?

your sister was coming and she would've tried to killer her, her family, her people.

maybe they were right to say all those things about you — you thought.

maybe you really brought death everywhere you went.

"she's the one that's been stealing our supplies...?" asked kiri as she finally came out, a look of fear adorning her own face.

but it wasn't fear of you, and that took a small part of the weight out of your chest.

you nodded giving the people the answer they needed, but not everyone could think the same way.

someone stepped out of the circle, one step but it was enough to bring the attention on them.

"how do we know this is true? why would some unknown come here and kill all of us? don't you think it's a bit stretched even for a beast like them?" they talked to the others, their voice high so it could be easily heard.

you could see that they were starting to see the story from a different point of view and you couldn't let them do that.

"i don't have time for this, i came here to make sure neteyam doesn't die, not to fill you in with my life story" you hissed at them before you turned around walking back towards toruk, who had been waiting patiently for a signal.

"toruk..." neteyam murmured, why had no one saw it? why hadn't anyone brought it up?

"wait!" he said and you stopped immediately, like he had turned out your system, he turned around to talk again this time with the others.

"she has toruk! she's toruk makto!" he made them notice, looks where shared but no one dared to talk; not even jake.

"you" neteyam finger was pointing towards his father chest as he walked in front of him, his feet planting on the ground with more force for each step "you were toruk makto too, that's what brought the clan to victory"

jake wanted to roll his eyes and stop his child from saying anything else but he knew he was right, so he glanced at his wife,

his beautiful wife who had made his minds change completely, who had made him change completely.

in that exact moment jake realized what was really happening, he had the urge to let out a chuckle as he took in the situation but thankfully he didn't.

the na'vi said that everyone is born twice, but what if it could happen even before death?

what if some souls were destined to be together over and over and over even while coexisting in the same time period?

jake shook his head, nothing really visibile —  but it arrived to your alerted gaze anyway.

tommy had been the smart, scientific guy, not him; he had always let things happen without focusing on them too much, why should he have started and changed that now?

he knew the answer,

because you two reminded him a little too much of his own self, not really the one present in that moment but the one of all those years prior, when everything had started.

and maybe just maybe, he forced himself to see things in another point of you.

reminding himself that he had once been on the other side, in your place, going against your own people and your own believes  just to save your heart.

neytiri watched intently as all those tough ya passed trough this husband's brain in less then a second — and she read all of them.

so she copied his actions and she let her gaze linger on the two of you as his son waited for an answer.

not a general answer, the right answer.

"we trust you" she said, her look was undecipherable and it worried you a lot more than you had wanted to admit but you knew you couldn't say anything in response to that.

so you made only one movement, a strong nod with your head, your eyes locked with the woman's as she copied you.

a promise for something lot more bigger then you two;

a promise that what you were doing was right.

a promise that you would've fought with your nails and your teeth.

a promise, that your tribe's name could actually be clean.
