ten was playing against johnny. they had different majors so they were on different sides of the court. lisa on the other hand was ten's spiker on the same team. they played coed volleyball to make it quicker.

the game's almost ending and the tension between the two teams were very much all over the whole court.

lisa jumped up purposely spiking the ball, but with johnny so tall up in the air, it was blocked and thrown down. the ball was sure to hit the ground until ten retrieved, diving down the floor. the ball was back up in the air with the save of ten. ten was the best libero yet. johnny was in awe of his boyfriend. he was proud but he couldn't show it.

"yeah! out!" lisa yelled as she saw the ball thrown back to her but hitting the ground outside.

ten wiped his sweat with a smile. they were winning.

johnny was frustrated with ten and it shows. the look on johnny's face was sending ten over the edge. with sweat all over his skin, dripping down his collarbones, ten gulped seeing his boyfriend from behind the net across the court.

"i wanna see boys in bikinis too, they'd look good on you." ten sang along with the music as he looked at johnny in the eye. i'm still mad but damn is he hot right now. he thought.

if they get the last point, they win. ten was ready to dive in and he wasn't about to miss that one point now.

momo was to serve next on ten's team. she spun the ball in between her hands before going for a floater serve. it was hard to distinguish but the ball was received by jisoo. tossed by nayeon, irene spiked aiming for a vacant space at the back. before hitting the ground, ten saved with another dive. lisa passed the ball back to momo before tossing and spiked by jinyoung. it hit the ground before their libero could catch.

ten's team won.

going back in the locker rooms, the girls behind him kept on cheering. the room was filled with the team's yelling while ten just smiled.

"yo ten, you coming tonight?" jinyoung asked.

"yeah, sc's throwing an intrams party. it's gonna be lit!" momo added going into her locker.

ten smirked and said, "you know i won't miss it."

"yeah! everybody's there!"

"is johnny djing again?"

"you know he is."

ten's smile disappeared as he rummaged into his locker. he sat down the bench and faced his phone. he kept thinking if johnny was going to do something. i mean, he was wrong. he thought.

on the other side of the locker rooms, johnny was getting ready to shower. he thought if ten was attending the party for the night. if he is, will we make up? he thought. he still haven't talked to ten and it was getting worse.

he didn't get the chance to get into the shower when he walked around the lockers looking for his boyfriend.

"hey ten, i'll get going. we'll see you at the party?"

"yeah, i'll see you there!"

as he turned, ten was there. left sitting on the bench with his phone in hand.

"ten..."

the boy looked up and his face went expressionless.

"what do you want john?" he stood up and turned back to get his things from his locker.

"are you still mad?" ten was stunned with the words. he faced the man with furrowed brows.

"does it look like it?"

"look i'm sorry about wendy. yuta was just setting me up, but he doesn't know about us so i couldn't do anything. wendy's just a friend!" johnny tried to defend his friend before ten can come after her.

"and the fact that you lied to me? you didn't tell me about it so i wouldn't worry?! even explained that it's all about yuta so i wouldn't have second thoughts?" ten was almost yelling. they were lucky they were the only ones left in the locker rooms.

"you were gonna flip out! you wouldn't let me go to the damn date and you know i can't turn yuta down. he's gonna know about us!" they were already yelling at each other.

"it's all because you don't wanna let the whole school know you're dating me. that's it then?" ten coming closer to the man. "you know what john, i'm getting tired of this. i'm tired of sneaking around when i can just gladly tell the whole campus i'm dating you, i'd be proud." a finger was pointed at the man's chest and ten was angrier by the second.

"did you know that it hurt me? did you know that i had to keep it all to myself because i can't even cry to my friends about it? and do you know i can't even be with you right now?!" ten was fuming. he grabbed his bag from the bench before slamming his locker shut and walking out of the room.

he haven't been out the doors but he was already crying. he sniffled softly in case the man would hear and he quickly wiped his tears.

"eyy! you made it!"

"always, sc!"

the two best friends made their way into the bar far from the dance floor where johnny would most likely be playing with the music. they were greeted by the rest of the people and was handed drinks. ten eyed the man from the platform in front of the crowd whilst sipping his drink.

"how was archery, tae?"

"lost to seokmin." he pouted as he answered. "yeah i heard he hit the camera in the middle."

jaehyun found the two friends and immediately walk towards them. they watched as the crowd went wild, it would most likely be because of seungcheol and the drinks.

"congrats on the win, ten!"

"congrats, shortie! you did it again!"

"nice one, ten!"

there were greetings from different people left and right. it was pleasing to the ears as ten heard it but it got annoying.

soon, johnny's eyes met ten's but ten didn't look for long. he continued sipping on his drink as he looked around. he tried to avoid his boyfriend's eyes at the moment, he couldn't be facing him now. if he didn't have a boyfriend now, he'd be going around kissing anybody he wants. but he has a boyfriend, and they're in a middle of an argument. he wanted to add fuel to the fire, but it could end badly.

it was going on and on for a while and they were waiting for ten to start his hoe character on but it wasn't coming anytime soon. no one knows about him and johnny so they expected to taste the small boy's drug-like lips.

"i'm surprised, you're not hoeing around tonight. not enough beer?"

taeyong and jaehyun was still behind him and ten quickly went jealous seeing the two. they were cuddled up against each other and no one minded because the whole campus knows about them.

ten suddenly felt a pang on his chest. johnny and i aren't coming out anytime soon, huh? he wanted to be proud around the school and brag about his boyfriend. he's been dreaming about it since his high school, being all popular around the school and having a boyfriend you could brag about. anyone has dreamt of that of course. but right when he already has it, there comes barriers.

he couldn't blame johnny because there are serious consequences that involves his mother, but he agreed to it so he needed to suck it up. he loves johnny with all his heart but it was getting painful. the fact that he can't cry to his friend about it adds up to the pain.

"never enough." he smirked lightly before chugging on his red cup.

johnny's staging was done and someone was covering the pit for him. he walked down to meet ten and the rest of his friends but when ten saw him, he quickly stood up to leave.

"hey, i'm just gonna meet lisa in the garden. i'll be back in a minute."

he went to walk out clearly avoiding the man who came for him. in a snap, he disappeared out of the friends' sight and he was already out the garden. johnny sighed before showing himself to the rest of his friends.

"hey lisa, there are other drinks in here, don't go sucking on lips!"

the two boyfriends widened their eyes in shock that they thought lisa was out in the garden for ten. but she's here tho? taeyong thought. johnny didn't even get to acknowledge the presence of his friends and he quickly grabbed a cup before heading out to the spacious garden.

there, he saw ten drinking alone. there were numbered people out in the garden and the rest were in the pool. he quickly pulled the boy in a more secluded place, without any notice, spilling the drink. "what the hell, john?"

ten wiped off the spilled drink on his chest and frowned in front of the man.

"how long are you gonna keep ignoring me? you know we need to talk." the man said. he towered over ten and it made the boy smaller if it was even possible.

"what's there to talk about? i made it clear. i can't be with you right now." ten turned back ready to leave but the touch of Johnny's hand, lightly on his soft ones made him stop on his tracks.

"baby, please..."

calling him baby was definitely heart crushing. he sounded desperate. he was desperate. the tone of his voice was sending ten's chest to tighten.

"i'm sorry i lied." johnny said. his hand never left ten's and ten wasn't planning on letting go either.

"i was worried yuta would find out about us. i've been abandoning the guys for a while now and they were getting suspicious. you understand that right?"

"yes, i understand." ten said lowly. "but it doesn't mean i can live with it."

"i'm getting tired, john. do you know how many nights i've spent getting jealous over taeyong when i see him with jaehyun everyday? i want that for us too but sadly i can't do that. because the whole school will know and your mom will know so you'd be back in the u.s and i'll never see you again. that's what you're thinking right? that's all you think about." ten has tears pooling his eyes to the brim.

"why are you so scared, john? you're an only child." fighting his tears back was giving him a headache. "hiding was fun until one of us gets tired. you can't keep me hidden from your parents forever."

"can't you fight for me for once? because i would do it for you if that means i can be with you. you defend your friends when you get into trouble but i'm your boyfriend, johnny. why can't you do that for me?"

suddenly, there was a sound of a glass breaking heard not so far in distance. the two turned to look in shock in spotting their two friends.

he opened his mouth but no words were coming out. "y--you... wh... lucas, we're right."

lucas stood shock and his big doe eyes were even bigger than before. sicheng's glass were crushed to the ground but neither of them noticed.

"so, you're the boyfriend?"

out of nowhere, there was a girl's voice. behind johnny, wendy appeared with a smile. she held a beer on her left hand as she walked closer to the two.

"ten?"

ten looked behind him and there was his cousin, lisa, looking tipsy but her look were perfectly fixed on him.

why is there so many people showing up? ten cursed in his head as he thought of it.

"what is going on?" two other persons appeared behind the two cousins and it was jungwoo and yuta. "hey i was looking for you." yuta said to sicheng. "what's happening?"

there was silence. ten couldn't speak and he couldn't even form any words inside his head. johnny was speechless just like ten. he was having a hard time making up excuses as of now because there's a lot who was surrounding them now. they're numbered but it's too much to let them know.

"ten, are you crying?" jungwoo said. "johnny, what did you do?!"

ten didn't notice there was a tear escaping his eyes. he wiped his tear checking to see if it was true, and his fingers were wet.

ten started walking away out of his friends' sighting and johnny couldn't even follow. he kept thinking about his friends and what matters would be exposed if this happens now. but this was his boyfriend. and his boyfriend was already hurting.

the man felt a slight nudge from his side, and wendy was there. "go."

wendy encouraged the man to follow ten with a slight nod. wendy was understanding, she didn't know that ten was the hidden boyfriend but johnny had his reason and she respected that.

soon, johnny was out of their spot. he ran after ten and caught him to where there was no one else.

"baby, i'm sorry." johnny was tired of running after the man. he was small but he sure walks fast.

ten stopped in his tracks. his tears were flowing freely and he didn't even try to stop them now.

"i'm sorry i was a coward for not telling the guys. i'm sorry i can't tell my parents." johnny panted lightly. "i'm sorry i neglected you, baby. i'm sorry."

"i love you, you know that. i was afraid my mom would take me away from you. i just can't lose you now." he said as he took a step closer. "i'm really sorry, ten. please forgive me."

"i've been thinking now and if you want to tell them, go tell them." ten faced the man and there was a tear that slowly fell out of his eyes. it broke ten's heart.

"no, baby. you don't have to do that for me." ten walked closer to the man and held his face. ten understood johnny was hurting too and he didn't want the man to cry any longer.

johnny face was buried on ten's neck as ten hugged the man. "baby, i want to." johnny whispered. by now, ten was bawling his eyes out silently on johnny.

the rest of their friends silently cooed from afar. they didn't know that this was happening but they were proud of the two. they can be understanding anytime needed but they didn't realize their two friends were having this kind of problems.

but the two have made up and they were happy it was heart warming.
