jaehyun couldn't think. his mind was going hazy. his dream was finally happening. this was his chance to get taeyong back. probably not in the best way, but it's something.

"what?" is all jaehyun can say. he was at loss for words and taeyong found it adorable.

"might catch a fly in your mouth, jung." he tried to joke but it's only him who laughed. "but yeah, you kinda forgot to wear a condom when we had sex. so in conclusion, i'm pregnant and you're the father." he said so casually.

"why didn't you tell me sooner? i threw a fit because of nothing!" jaehyun said unbelievably before drinking his champagne.

"well i'm sorry, you walked out on me." taeyong said sassily rolling his eyes at jaehyun. "but you have nothing to worry about now. i'm not telling you to take care of the baby. it's okay if you don't acknowledge the baby as your own but i'm just letting you know. although i don't know if i should introduce you when he or she grows up."

jaehyun was once again speechless. he wanted to acknowledge the baby. he accepts the baby. but why is he acting like he's forced to interact with me because of the baby?

"what do you mean? you think i won't accept this baby?"

"well yeah, because you know..." taeyong shrugged before gulping, "we broke up. i'm okay with taking care of the baby by myself, you don't need to do anything."

"are you serious? what, we're not getting married?" jaehyun asked that made taeyong look back.

"we're not getting married." with furrowed eyebrows, taeyong stared at him eye to eye. "why did you think we were getting married?"

"come on taeyong, you don't want our baby to have a broken family now, do you?"

"jae, i know what you're saying but..." he sighed before adding, "we can't keep going like this. i mean we broke up, we both cheated. you wanted to continue cheating while we're having our baby?"

jaehyun couldn't speak. he couldn't believe what was happening between him and his ex. "you won't marry me?" he thought he had the chance.

"i will not marry you." he thought this will finally bring them back together. "yes, i have your baby inside me, but no, we're not getting married." he just thought. it's not like it'll happen.

jaehyun was in his balcony again, drinking. he wanted to be with taeyong again but he doesn't want to be a disruption to the other's life. it was clear that he didn't wanna get back together with him. why would he bother? but i really wanna get back together. since the night they broke up, all jaehyun could think of was his ex-lover. he never should've cheated. even when he cheated, he was thinking about taeyong. why did he cheat after all? i don't even remember why.

i miss taeyong. he thought. if the baby's the only reason he get to stay close to taeyong, then he's got no other choice.

"how do you survive drinking every night and not get hangovers?" out of nowhere, krystal comes into his bedroom and stood beside him. "what's wrong this time?"

jaehyun didn't answer, instead he just refilled his glass with whiskey. "is this taeyong again? come on, i'm your older sister, tell me."

"i'm the father of taeyong's child."

krystal turned to look at him with wide eyes. "he said i can take care of the child too but it's only that. nothing more, nothing less."

he was close to crying. there were tears pooling his eyes but he tried to hold them back. he took a sip of his drink and faced the scenery in front, not once looking at his sister.

"i really thought i could bring us back." it was clear from his broken voice that he was hurting. "i thought i had my chance to figure things out with him." slowly, he let his tears fall for he couldn't hold them back any longer.

"i mean, c'mon, we broke up, but then a few days later we had sex, then we had sex again for the second time. i thought it was leading somewhere." he took another sip of his whiskey before adding, "guess it's not."

"i miss him, noona." he cried. "i really want him back and i can't stop thinking about him. he's constantly on my mind since the night we broke up."

"it hurts to even think about him." krystal had no other way to comfort her brother so instead, she just hugged the poor boy resting his head on her shoulders. "everything's going to be alright, honey." she said.

"time will heal everything. maybe it was meant to happen." her shirt's getting soaked with his tears. "what you gotta right now is, show him some effort. make him see that you're serious with what you're doing, and what you want to do in the future for him as you build your family. you have to tell him how you feel though, to know if you're in the same page."

"if you love him, show him." she lifted his head up, wiping his tears in the process. "now stop crying, you're getting snot all over my clothes." she joked making both of them laugh.

"everything's gonna be fine. trust your sister." she smiled but jaehyun said, "really? trust little ms. 4-ex-boyfriends-that-never-worked?" he smirked.

"hey! i try to comfort you and this is what i get?" she cocked an eyebrow up as her brother teased. "come on, you never told me what really happened with minhyuk hyung and jongin hyung. though i know what happened with minho hyung and myungsoo huyng."

"stop talking about them! i'm here to console, not for you to bring up my past relationships, dickhead!" she frowned smacking her brother in the head. "yeah right, sorry. thank you, noona."

jaehyun finally came back to work. he was bombarded with photoshoots and his head didn't get to rest with all the retouches and hairsprays.

"that's what you get for not coming to work." johnny said.

"come on john, you've been my handler ever since the beginning. i just got back." jaehyun replied but got a mocking face from the tall man. johnny grabbed his coffee and handed it to the guy before dismissing the shoot. "sorry for last night, by the way." johnny apologized sitting down with jaehyun.

"it's fine. i was actually a dick. i shouldn't have ditched work."

"you seem pretty good. how was your talk with tae?" the taller asked out of nowhere. he knew how the talk went because he watched from afar with ten. he just wanted to know if the man was okay with it. he was faking his emotions at the moment but johnny knew that.

"it's alright. i mean i accepted the baby but nothing's happening between us. everything's in the past, all i need to care about is the child." jaehyun didn't sound okay. he really sucks at faking his feelings. johnny thought. he pitied the man. johnny was his shoulder to cry on when they broke up, other than his siblings of course. johnny knew what happened since then, exception to when they had sex. he knows he loves taeyong but he wasn't in the place to tell that to taeyong himself. he didn't want to meddle with their relationship but he wished jaehyun would stand up for himself. what a pussy. but he couldn't bring himself to say that to the other's face.

"and you're okay with that?" he asked.

the man shrugged before answering, "it's okay. if that's what he wants, who am i to stop him? i'm just an ex now."

"yeah. an ex who has a baby with his ex." johnny rolled his eyes as he said. he sighed out of frustration watching the man be broken. "is that what you want? so you're just going to settle with this? jae you have a child. 9 months from now, you're gonna see that baby alive and breathing. you're gonna think who has the most features on him, either you or taeyong. did you think about what the baby would feel when his parents couldn't even be in the same room on a sunday night, watching movies or something? that his parents only take turns in taking care of him? do you want that for your child?"

jaehyun stopped to think. he didn't want that, but that's what his ex-lover would want. "jae, a few years from now, who knows if taeyong finds someone else? that someone else could be the stepfather of your child, while you're in here mourning for your dead love."

johnny was always right. he thought. but what can he do? it seemed like the man have moved on from him. how could he have moved on faster than him? i was just about to fix everything, but i was too late. he was too late.
