jungwoo was on his way back to his guest house. his look alike cousin already left for his flight to singapore. he had a bottle of cabernet in hand and his feet were walking along the fine sand. he had his shoes in his other hand and he admired the waves as it tried to reach his feet. the sound calmed him down and took all his cares away.

never knew a long vacation can take my mind off of everything in korea. he thought.

he was kicking sands around and downing his drink. he stared at the dark blue sky and  heaved out very long sigh. surrounding him was the cool breeze coming from the sea. but he felt like there was more other than the breeze he can feel.

he get this weird feeling that someone he knows or someone connected to him was somewhere near though he couldn't point out. he looked around and tried searching for anyone he knows that could probably know him. or maybe someone trying to murder him?

that's impossible. he thought. isn't it?

behind him, he could see a familiar physique from afar. he held his shoes in one hand and he seemed to be wearing something casual.

the man walked closer to jungwoo slowly and jungwoo now thinks he's hallucinating.

oh crap, how much have i drank? jungwoo said inside his head. "jungwoo." the man said softly.

great, now i can hear him. jungwoo almost cursed his conscience.

jungwoo blinked more than once and tried so hard to make the man disappear from his sight. he was certain that he was already seeing things. "jungwoo, it's me." the man said.

"lucas?"

lucas grabbed his hand and gently took his bottle of wine from his hand. jungwoo only stared and still can't believe he was seeing the man he was seeing now.

"honey, you've drank enough." lucas says.

for a while, they fell silent. lucas was waiting for his response but jungwoo just stared at him as if he grew a dozen heads. "what are you doing here?" he finally said.

"i wanted to see you." lucas replied. "i saw you in a rest house. i followed you."

no words were delivered after that. jungwoo took his bottle and walked away. not only did he not wanna see his husband, he didn't wanna think of him.

he was already having a good time being alone in a country where he should be far away from lucas, and now he's thinking about him again.

i'm gonna kill whoever told lucas. jungwoo thought. he clicked his tongue and shook his head. there was no way he was going back to his rest house now. maybe in the morning when the night has passed.

he puts his shoes on and left the almost empty bottle of cabernet on the ground before dusting his clothes off. he sighed and walked off of the beach. he walked and walked until his feet took him to a hotel.

the night after that, lucas followed his husband again. jungwoo got drunk for the second time in bali now. and he was seen drinking in the bar of the hotel he was in.

from the far corner of jungwoo's sight, he knows he can see his husband checking up on him from a few feet away. even if he can't see him, he can feel his presence.

jungwoo was already a little wasted to even care. if he didn't know better, he would ask lucas to have a one night stand up in his room. but even if he's drunk, he wouldn't do it. he had no guts to.

all of a sudden, it's like all his cares flew off and left his body. he grabbed his scotch on the rocks with a twist that seemed to be his 11th glass for the night and walked off of the bar.

lucas didn't know where he was going so at first he didn't know what to do. he shifted a couple of times trying to hide his face. before he could find something to cover him up, jungwoo already sat on the armchair next to his.

"you're not as discreet as you think you are, xuxi."

xuxi. he thought. he hasn't called me xuxi in a long while. "what the hell made you follow me here?" jungwoo asks playing with his glass.

"what in god's name do you want? you better answer me now, or i swear this divorce is gonna make the headlines!" jungwoo almost yelled.

for a minute, people around them started staring. lucas looked around and went flustered. "let's talk about this somewhere private." lucas said and took his coat. he grabbed jungwoo's arm and walked off of the floor.

"where's your room?" the chinese man asked as they walked towards the elevator. "1925." jungwoo replied.

he doesn't understand why he said it, but he did.

when they got in the room, lucas pulled jungwoo harshly and closed the door a little too loud. he sighed and brushed his face with his palms facing the door.

"wow, are you seriously even madder than i am?" jungwoo asked.

lucas turns back and grabbed his husband's glass and placed it on a table near by. he sighed for what seemed like the hundredth of the day. "i didn't sign the papers."

"lucas--"

"because i wanna know why you wanna divorce me. why you wanna end something we had for 2 years. the 2 years i spent with you that were just going down the drain with this stupid divorce!" lucas almost yelled.

jungwoo gasped huge and furrowed his brows. "the 2 years i spent with you? do you know how much misery you put me in with those years? the 2 years that wasn't even real to begin with? aren't you happy i was going to end it so you could be with the man you love? what about yangyang?"

"enough about yangyang! i've already had enough from the guys asking me that, not you too!" lucas gripped on his hair for a short while then facing jungwoo again. "but lucas, he's your boyfriend. i did all of this divorce thing because of you. what more do you want?"

"i want us to stay married!"

jungwoo fell silent and stared at the man who couldn't even stare at him back. his emotions were all over the place, he didn't even know how he should feel. should he be happy? he has no idea. does he want this? he doesn't know either.

"wh--why would..." he trailed off. "why would you want us to stay married?" he continued.

suddenly, anywhere that wasn't jungwoo's face seemed to be more interesting for lucas to look at. he rubbed his forehead and just tried to find something to reply.

for real, he wasn't sure how to respond either. but what he wants is for jungwoo and him to stay married. no other reason came into mind, just that--and the fact that he fell in love.

"lucas, we can't stay married. we already received the benefits we were supposed to have years ago. even before we were wedded. you got your company, all your inheritance from your billionaire of a granddad. your money and this marriage already saved our foundation a couple years ago. there's nothing going on between us anymore, so we have to break this thing off!" jungwoo yelled right in front of lucas' face.

"why? why do we have to break it off? even if nothing is going on between us, nothing will even change if we also get divorced." lucas replied.

"you got any reason why we should stay married?" jungwoo asks stepping back.

lucas didn't speak. as much as he did all efforts to find his husband in a whole other country, he just couldn't say he was in love now. for some reason, he didn't want jungwoo to despise him for being a late confessor. it'll ruin his feelings.

jungwoo already decided to get divorced, which means he might already have a plan for his own future. lucas confessing can only get in the way of that.

"see?" jungwoo started. "what we have is unreal." the only thing holding jungwoo back now was the fact that hurting his husband would scar his own heart.

"what can you not understand?" but saying these words to him now was already excruciating for him alone. "we have to stop whatever this is, lucas. whatever we have."

the chinese man tried to find a hint of regret to what jungwoo had just said. jungwoo found out what he tried to find inside his eyes--and as much as they say that the eyes don't lie, jungwoo sure tried so hard to not give lucas any sort of hint.

"well..." lucas started. "i guess it's time to divorce." he finally said.

jungwoo looked at his husband. he pursed his lips and and closed his eyes. "it's been the time for years."

"i just have one favor." lucas said. and jungwoo turned to him as he said that one favor like he has gone completely mad.
