"Koko-senpai!" Gou ran up to Kiyoko as she tackled her into a hug.

"Kou!" Kiyoko chuckled as she hugged her boyfriend's younger sister as Rin only laughed.

"Can a big brother get his hug too?" Rin teased as Kou stuck out her tongue.

"You're not the one who has to put up with teammates who are the opposite sex as you!" Kou objected.

"Kiyoko-chan!" Nagisa beamed as he tackled her.

"Nagisa!" Kou screamed.

"Did you bring the chocolates?" Nagisa pouted as Kiyoko nodded.

"I got a whole box for you,"

"You're the best!"

"Hey, I paid for it!" Rin said as wrapped his arm around Koko.

"Kiyoko-senpai!" Rei exclaimed as he caught up with the group.

"Rei-chan," Kiyoko acknowledged happily at her kouhai, "I'm so happy you could join Rin-senpai into coming,"

"Exams were last week so my coach decided I should get some rest before I start training again," she explained.

"Oh! Oh! Can we see the hearing aids?!" Nagisa asked ardently.

"Nagisa!" Rei scolded.

"It's okay," she assured as she moved her hair as it showed her white and blue hearing aid as Nagisa looked at it in fascination.

"Did Rin-chan cry?" the honey-haired swimmer asked as Rin scoffed.

"Yes, yes he did and he can't deny it," the blonde winked as his little sister chuckled.

"So are you still going to compete in the same events?" Rei inquired

"yes, Pieter has organised all my platforms will be lighted when the gun goes off. It will take some adjusting but it will be alright," she informed.

"So next is nationals huh?" Rin asked

"Yes!"

"I wanted to show you our races Rin-chan!" Nagisa added, "You probably would've been move in tears," Nagisa sneaked in as Rin smirked

"I don't cry that easily," Rin defended, "jeez, you've gotten so strong," he ruffled his hair.

"Rei, you've worked hard too, huh?" Rin acknowledged looking at the Iwatobi captain, "I'm sure with your strong feelings, you'll be fine in your next race,"

"Thank you very much," he thanked

"Rin-san, please do your best in the all-Japan invitation, too,"

"Thanks,"

"Are you going to be swimming with swimmers from overseas?" Kou asked

"Huh?"

"I heard there were foreign swimmers who are in Japan before the world championship," she notified.

"No, I don't have plans to," Rin said confused as Kiyoko's phone vibrated.

"Babe, I've got to go," she said

"Already?" he pouted as placed a kiss on his cheek.

"Where are you going?" Kou asked

"I'm going to see my Mako-chan then with him to see my brother," she replied.

"You have a brother?!" The three said in unison.

"Yeah, older. Step, he's actually here in Japan too with his coach for a visit," Kiyoko revealed.

"Is he a swimmer?" Nagisa asked.

"yeah," she nodded.

Haruka Nanase stood beside his teammates as he looked in front of him of high school students lined up as the coach announced:

"This is Taka U high school swim team. Their captain wants to meet you,"

On cue, a fiery-haired girl ardently stood forward with pride, "good morning!" she began, "I'm the captain of the Hidaka University Highschool swim team, I'm Mikoshiba Isuzu,"

"Mikoshiba?"

"She's my sister," Seijuro informed.

"We're here to observe your practice and learn from you. Thanks for having us," they all bowed.

"So his sister swims too?" Isana inquired

"Yeah," Haru said as in his head the three siblings laughing pridefully making him slightly cringe.

"Nanase Haruka-san!" he snapped out of his thoughts as the female captain walked up to him confidently.

"I saw you swim in the college championships. Your swimming is amazing and so are your triceps," she exclaimed, "Is it also true that you've trained with Araki Kiyoko as well?!"

"Yes," he replied

"Wait really?!" Isana was taken back.

"Yeah, she was my teammate in high school and friend,"

"Lucky. Anyways I aspire to swim just like you do! Please have a freestyle race with me!" she begged as the ravenette was perplexed at the sudden request.

"Come on Nanase, race her. I've never heard of a girl challenging a guy, but still-,"

"Gender makes no difference in a competition. I can beat my own guys in the club!" she intruded, "So please Nanase-san, have a freestyle race with me-," as she was then pulled by the collar backwards by none other than her older brother.

"If you want to race so badly why don't you race your older brother?!" Seijuro smirked as his younger sibling gulped.

"Why do one hundred metres when we can do fifteen hundred?!" he started dragging her as she yelped.

"I'm too young to die!"

"She an interesting kid..." Isana chuckled as the coach cleared his throat, "alright, we'll break for lunch now. Meet back here by two-thirty,"

Kiyoko Akari sat on the bus to the cafe where she was meeting Makoto swim camp was being held. With her elbow leaning against the bottom of the bus' window, the blonde wearing tracksuit pants and a plain blue shirt was listening to the latest swimming news with her soundless headphones sitting on her head.

'With none other than world championships coming up in Korea, this is a crucial year with none other than more talent joining. With next years Olympics coming up in Tokyo, Japan powerhouse countries are debating on new and old talent. The further update shows that this will be another year for Albert Wahlander of Sweden, current world record holder of the one and two hundred metre freestyle with speculation if he can hang on to his titles for another year. Also, superstar swimmer Anastasia Tehnil from Russia will be joining the race.

But there may be a fall from grace for the Torpedo Queen with rumours surrounding steroids being used during her trials. But further is being investigated.

Another person to watch out is none other than Australia sweetheart Butterfly's Bullet Kiyoko Akari returning to the pool after breaking the world record last year in a national high school championship in Japan by two milliseconds. But it has been recently reported by the swimming Australia committee that she has been diagnosed with sudden permanent hearing loss. Reporters have caught up with her coach, ex legendary dutch swimmer Pieter Hauer:

Kiyoko sighed as the screen turned to Pieter being bombarded by a swarm of reporters.

'Sir? Will Kiyoko still be able to swim?'

'Of course,'

'Will this impact her swimming career?'

'of course not. Kiyoko is a strong person and she has decided to remain in her events-, look I'm sorry I have to go,' he said as he walked through the door as reporters tried to get inside.

Taking off her headphones she had arrived at her stop with a ten minute walk to the cafe.

"Congratulations again to Ikuya on beating the base time in the 100m free and 100m breaststroke," Mako announced as they as raised their drinks.

"Thanks, guys," Ikuya thanked. The four, Mako, Ikuya, Hiyori (ugh) and Asahi were all seated at the crimson head's sister's cafe, "you did great Asahi,"

"It sucks that I lost, but more than that I'm happy you got to swim freestyle your way,"

"Yeah,"

But you know what?! I'm going to beat you next time!" Asahi declared

"You said that a lot in seventh grade," Ikuya recounted

"Shut up!"

"But you did beat the base time in the 200m butterfly," Mako added, "That's amazing too,'

"Well butterfly and I are synonyms. I guess Natsuya-senpai swam too, didn't he? The IM,"

"Yeah,"

"I heard from Natsuya-kun he bit the base time," Hiryori said

"Wow,"

"He'll be my rival now," Ikuya added

"Brother against brother in the IM huh, that's going to be awesome!" Asahi exclaimed

"Sorry I'm late!" the bell rang as the cotton candy haired male waltzed in, "How was the race Asahi?"

"Ikuya kicked his but in freestyle," Hiyori taunted

"Don't be so empathetic about it!" Asahi scolded

"So the ones going to the all-Japan for freestyle will be Asahi and Toono-kun, in the 50m, Ikuya in the 100m, and Haru in the 100 and 200 metres?" Kisumi asked, "Oh Makoto do you know how Rin did?"

"Kiyoko messaged me the other day, be beat the base time for 100m freestyle and 100m butterfly," he replied

"Kiyoko?" Kisumi said confused along with the others.

"Oh, sorry you don't know her. That's Rin's girlfriend," Mako sheepishly said.

"Wait?! He's got a girlfriend?!" Kisumi blurted

"Speaking of which she's I-,"

On cue, the door sprung open revealing the blonde.

"Kiyoko-chan," Mako got up giving her a hug as Asahi spit out his drink in recognition of the female.

"Aren't you-,"

"Kiyoko Araki?!" Asahi finished as the blonde smiled at the group.

"Hi everyone," as she bowed, "I'm sorry I'm late,"

"hi," they all said still processing everything.

"Everyone this my friend Kiyoko, she was part of our club in high school and she Rin's girlfriend," Mako introduced.

"Wait, your Rin's girlfriend?!" Kisumi said as she nodded as her eyes then sparkled as she laid her ocean orbs on his hair.

"I'm so sorry but I love your hair, what shade did you dye it?" she abruptly asked as he blinked.

"No this is my natural hair colour," as her eyes twinkled.

"So pretty," as the others deadpanned, "I'm so sorry what's your name?"

"Kisumi Shigino,"

"Aww, your name is so pretty, it sounds like Kiss-me! Like kisses," as he eyes twinkled.

"You get it!" he praised as they started chatting away taking a seat next to him.

"So Kiyoko how did the surgery go?" Mako asked as they all look to her as she pulls back her hair to reveal her hearing aids.

"Wait what?!" Asashi's eyes widened.

"How-?"

"Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with sudden permanent hearing loss," she stated.

"Wow so how do you swim?" Asahi says as Hiyori and Ikuya deadpan.

"I take them off," she blinks

"Like what about races-, wait no! You're too young!" he cries.

"I'm not backing out, no way," she chuckled, "After the all-Japan, I'm going to go back and resume training with my coach. I came here cause I finished my exams and I'm here to support Rin,"

"Rin swam with me, Haru and Nagisa our first relay together," Mako explained as the blue-headed male slightly felt uncomfortable with the statement.

"Oh yeah," Kiyoko chuckled, "Remember that relay in high school? I can't believe the judges disqualified you guys," she scoffed.

"What happened?" Kisumi asked

"Rin was going through a... phase against Haru. During regionals, the guys did a last-minute race with Rin. They won only to be later disqualified,"

"Wow, really?" Asahi expressed.

"A lot of stuff went down in high school but if it wasn't for that Iwatobi wouldn't have such a great relationship with Samezuka, since Rin became captain next year," she shrugged.

"No way,"

"Yeah that's right Samezuka," Hiyori continued, "That school is a national powerhouse every year,"

"Yeah, he studies abroad now in Australia with Kiyoko and is in a swimming club in Sydney," Mako says

"Australian swimming club. He's part of the elites now,"

"I've heard of that, isn't it a program?" Asahi says

"Yeah, it extends from younger kids starting at ten then so on. If you get lucky enough when your older you make it in. Its usually dominated by people who live in Australia but there are a few who every year who come that can make it in. That's actually how I met Rin when he came here he was starting his middle school years,"

"He must be good!' Asahi smirks, "Rin and Haru must be good rivals,"

"No denying that in high school Rin dragged Haru along with me to convince him that he should head onto the world stage. It worked,"

"Aren't they having friendly races at Haru's training camp?" Asahi says, "Aren't you guys going to cheer him on?"

"Yeah, I and Kiyoko are heading over there but I'm seeing Kiyoko there cause I have work,"

"I'm meeting my brother there,"

"Wait you have a brother?!"

"Step, he's a swimmer with his coach from overseas," she explained.

The four Samezuka swimmers sat on the bench watching a movie on Takuya's phone.

"I bet if Rin-senpai was here, he'd be wailing-," Momo was stopped mid sentenced as he jabbed in the face by a soft plushy kangaroo toy wearing boxing gloves.

"Like hell," Rin interrupted as they all beamed, "Sup guys,"

"Rin-senpai!" as Rin gave Momo the toy as he played with it.

"Hey, how have you guys been?" He asked

"I thought you were in Sydney with Kiyoko?" Kazuki says

"My plans got bumped up,"

"How's Kiyoko-senpai?! Is she okay?" Nitori asks

"She fine. She was strong, she's here with me but she's visiting her older brother," Rin explains.

"Oh, yeah my uncle told me, swimming runs in her family," Nitori says as the maroon head raises a brow in confusion.

"Wait you know her brother?" he asks

"Yeah! Well, I've never met him but of course, I know him!" Nitori says as he brings up a picture of an old photo he got from his uncle of a younger Kiyoko and her brother, "Her brother is none other than Albert Wahlander!"

"WAIT WHAT?!" they all say in unison as they all observe the photo of Kiyoko and Albert wearing matching t-shirts with the labels 'sister' 'brother'.

"No way, the Albert of Sweden,' Momo exclaims as Rin runs horrible scenes through his head.

"Oh my god," Rin gulps as he panicks, "I have to race him, and if I lose..." he puts a hand on his face, "I won't earn his respect," he mumbled.

"How the hell do you know all of this?!"

"My uncle told me a while back cause I was curious, it's also the fact I know you're competing in the all-Japan invitational,"

"Your uncle?"

"Yeah uncle Mikhail," he smiles as Rin feels another arrow shot through him as Nitori shows a photo of him and Mikhail, "Mikhail Makarovich Nitori, Kiyoko knew already cause she asked,"

"Wait you were Russian this whole time?!" his friend exclaims as Rin is left with his jaw further agape.

"No, he's just a relative on my mother's side,"

"Wow Ai, so worldly," Momo exclaims.

"Never saw that one coming, as well as the first... well um Mikhail is coaching me now," Rin tries to overcome his nervousness.

"I know! He emailed me that your muscles are the kind he only sees once every thirty years! He was so happy!"

"He's a great coach but he's got his quirks," he smiles.

Haru smoothly glided down his lane as he felt a powerful aura behind. Looking behind he saw a large caucasian figure swiftly capturing up with him. Haru couldn't help but watch as even at his usual training pace the foreign swimmer overtook him without effort. Haru slightly sped up a little focusing on his technique yet distracted by the swimmer.

Albert noticed.

The two stopped at the wall, both ripped off their caps as Haru looked to the side to see his early acquaintance.

"That was fun, the water likes you, I can tell," his Swedish accent evident as he spoke.

"you swam with my little sister, Koko," he said

"little sister?" Haru widened his eyes.

"Yes, whom is this person is she dating? I would like to race him someday" he smiled

Rin what the hell did you get yourself into Haru deadpanned in his head.

Meanwhile in the hallway:

"Ni-chan!" Isuzu caught up with her older brother as she walked beside him and his teammate, "that foreign swimmer who was invited to today's friendly race was Albert, right?"

"Albert, as in..." the violet-haired swimmer released.

"That's right, the current world record holder of the one and two hundred metres freestyle. Albert Wahlander of Sweden,"
