Chapter 20 ~ Interrogation

Warning: None

You were resting at home when you came back from your trip. Using so much power would drain you and the sleep helped but when you went to grab something to eat, your precognition acted up again. This time it didn't hurt as much and you were able to manage it well. "Aaron Davis..." you muttered before replying a message Mj had sent. She wanted to know if she could come over and you knew Logan wouldn't mind. Even Wade. She was going to bring over the work you've missed during the classes also.

Speaking of which, you were just now getting getting a phone call from your father. "Hey Dad." You spoke and he started to ask you after saying hello back of why you didn't attend school. He also added in that he found out from Logan since he couldn't risk exposing who you really were without exposing himself as well. Sighing, you explained everything to him about what happened during the school trip with the decathlon.

You also told him that you were fine that you only needed rest. He was hard to convince but luckily you did your job at doing so. "You better stay safe." He said. After that you both said your goodbyes and ended the call. It was a secured line that no one was able to access to except the people who had the number of course. "Well, time to get suited up." You muttered.

First you made sure your blinds and curtains were closed so no one could see in and know what you were doing. It'd be an invasion of privacy. Walking towards your closet, you dug through it before pulling out your suit. "Let's go pay this man a visit, shall we?" You muttered as you then started to walk towards your bed.

Time passed and you were walking in a parking garage where the setting had shown in your precognition. Spotting the man that appeared in your vision, you walked up behind him. "Hey!" You called out and he turned around. Upon seeing his face, you noticed who he was. "Sparrow? What're doing here?" He asked and you lifted an eyebrow. "I need questions and you're going to give me answers." You answer and he gave a slight silent nod before turning back around and walked back towards his car.

He was willing to tell you the answers that you needed. "You know, I didn't think I would see you again, y/n." He said and you swore your breath hitched. "I told you not to speak of-" you started to say and he nodded. "I won't. I promised you and your father remember?" He said and you nodded. "But I'll give you any answers you would like to hear." He added and opened his trunk. He was going to talk again when his hand was webbed on to the trunk. Only one person could do it.

Spider-Man.

"Remember me?" He started to speak in a deep voice as he began to walk closer to the both of you. You on the other hand creased your eyebrows as if saying 'what?'. Aaron flinched back slightly saying "I- ay-.." Spider-Man stopped when he stood by you. "I need information and you're going to give it to me now." He told Aaron and you rolled your eyes. Aaron glanced at you before looking back at Spider-Man. "Alright, chill." Aaron tried telling him as he had a hand in front of him. "Come on." Spider-Man insisted and you sighed.

"What happened to your voice?" Aaron asked him and you nodded. "Yeah. Did you, do... something?" You added in as you looked at Spider-Man. "What do you mean what happened to my voice?" Spider-Man asked. "I heard you at the bridge. I know what a girl sounds like." Aaron told him and placed his hand down to his side. "I'm not a girl, I'm a boy. I-I mean I'm a man." Spider-Man fumbled with his words as he explained.

"I don't care what you are. Boy, girl." Aaron started to say as he looked at his trunk then placed something inside. "I'm not a girl! I'm a man!" Spider-Man yelled and you chuckled softly to yourself. "Come on man, look, who are selling these weapons?" Spider-Man said. "I need to know their names or else." He added and Aaron lightly shook his head. Aaron looked at him dead in the eye and slammed his trunk hood down.

Spider-Man stepped backwards a little. "You ain't never done this before huh." Aaron stated as Spider-Man spoke mainly to himself "deactivate interrogation mode." That's when the little floating device that was following Spider-Man, connected back into his suit. Aaron sighed as he released a small chuckle to himself. You suddenly felt a pinch on the back of your neck. "Ow.." you muttered mainly to yourself as you quickly placed a hand over the area. Aaron looked over at you and you waved it off as it being nothing. He kept an eye out for you in case but turned back to Spider-Man.

"Look man, these guys are selling weapons that are crazy dangerous. They can't just be out on the streets. Look, if one of them could just cut one d-" Spider-Man started to say until Aaron interrupted him. "You know Delmars?" He asked and Spider-Man was quick to answer. "Yeah, the best sandwich in queens." You moved your hand down to your side and closed your eyes for a second before opening them back up. "Sub havens pretty good." Aaron said and you nodded along. "That's true. They're good too." You mentioned.

"That's too much bread." Spider-Man said. "I like bread." Aaron added in before the hero next to you pleaded. "Come on man, please." Aaron just looked at him and Spider-Man shook his head as he turned back around; walking away while muttering. "Stupid interrogation mode. Karen don't let me activate that again." Aaron made a look at you and you shrugged. "The other night you told that dude, if you're gonna shoot someone shoot me." Aaron said and the hero turned. "That's pretty ballsy." Aaron added in also.

"I don't want those weapons in the neighborhood. I got nephew that lives here." Aaron finally said and Spider-Man walked back to where you were still standing near the car. "Who are these guys? What can you tell me about the guy with the wings?" Spider-Man started to ask and you sighed as you crossed your arms across your chest and leaned with your back against the car. "Other than he's a psychopath dressed as a demon, nothing. I don't know who he is or where he is." Aaron said and that's when you decided to say. "Vulture." Both of them looked over at you. "His name is Vulture. That's what they call him and that's all I know."

They took in the information you gave them then looked back at each other. "But I do know where he's gonna be." Aaron said and you looked over at him. "Really?" Spider-Man said. "Yeah, this crazy do I used to work with, is supposed to be doing a deal with 'em." Aaron mentioned and that's when both you and Aaron saw Spider-Man jump up in delight as he said yeah. He started to walk away when Aaron spoke up. "Ay, ay, ay. I didn't tell you where, you don't have a location."

That's when Spider-Man quickly walked back to him. "Right! Of course! My bad. Silly of me. Yeah yeah." He said as he stopped in front of him. Placing his hands on top of the car as he asked "where is it?" That's when Aaron looked at him after he took a quick glance at his trunk. "Can I give you some advice?" He asked him. "Hm?" The young hero hummed. "You need to get better at this part of the job." Aaron said before adding. "I mean like I know she has it down but you? Need work." Aaron pointed at you when he mentioned 'her'.

"I don't understand." Spider-Man started to say as he leaned on the car. "I'm intimidating." He added and Aaron shook his head along with you before saying. "Staten island ferry at 11." You checked you watch. "Oh, that's soon." Spider-Man said as he started to walk backwards. "Hey, that's gonna dissolve in two hours."

"No, no, no, no. Come fix this." Aaron stated when he shook his head in disagreement and pointed at his stuck hand.

"Two hours. You deserve that." Spider-Man said as he continued to walk away.

"I got ice cream in here man." Aaron tried to tell him.

"You're a criminal. Bye Mr. Criminal." Spider-Man finished as he waved his hand at Aaron goodbye.

Aaron sighed and you rolled your eyes at Spider-Man before pulling out a pocketknife from your side holster and walked towards him. "Here." You started to say and you slowly started to remove the webbing. "I don't want you missing his birthday and having the ice cream melted." You added and he told you thank you. "He misses you, you know?" He started to say before adding "Miles."

You made a sad smile and he couldn't see but could tell by the way your eyes crinkled lightly from it. "I know." You said softly. "It's just-" you started to fade but he finished it for you. "Tough. I know. I'm aware and don't worry. I know you'll visit very soon." He shook his hand lightly before pulling you in for a hug. "Tell him happy birthday." You added and he could see the tears in your eyes that threatened to fall. "I will." Was all he said as you waved him goodbye then left yourself.
