Chapter 34 ~ Xavier

"Any news from Wade?" Xavier asked Hank and all Hank did was shake his head no. They were side by side down the hallway when Storm caught up to them. "Professor." She started to say. "I got news that both Wade and Adam were taken by a group of people." She added afterwards and Xavier thought for a moment before telling Hank "prepare cerebro." Hank nodded before leaving quickly and taking the elevator. Xavier and Storm weren't too far behind as they made their way down as well. (Making my way downtown, jk)

Making it to the room where cerebro was, Xavier went in first as Hank and Storm followed. He placed on the helmet as he started to work on a time frame. Getting a particular time insight from Storm, he placed that then started to adjust as he looked through. He separated the mutants from the humans and noticed that two were among them. "There's two. Female and Male." He told Hank before looking for a specific person. After a few minutes of searching, he finally found him. "Erik."

"Charles." Erik finally replied. "I need your assistance old friend." Charles responded as he waited for any indication from Erik to continue. When he received it, he started to explain what had happened and how he needed help. "How did the female appear?" Erik asked and Charles told the exact description, along with the male. That's when Erik was able to tell them who they were and who they worked for. He couldn't much since he was on a mission of his own. After their conversation was over, Xavier grunted in frustration. "What is it?" Storm asked. He took a few breaths in before telling her why he never liked the organization.

Moments later, after telling them everything, he placed the the headpiece back on. "Put the coordinates." Xavier told Hank and the scientist did as told. 15 minutes passed by till he was able to pinpoint some mutants. He already knew one of them. A Japanese woman who was very skilled with a samurai sword and could see into the further as per tell. "I need you to deliver a message for me." He told her then exactly what the message was and to who she need to give it to. "Thank you, and safe travels." He finished off. "Who did you contact?" Storm asked and he told both her and Hank before telling them why.

"Any news?" Storm asked once she entered Professor Xavier's office after teaching a class. A sigh was heard before he turned his chair around to see her. "Nothing thus far. If anything were to happen, you'll be among the first to be notified." He stated and she nodded her head before leaving after telling him some information. Once she did, Charles when over to his filing cabinet and opened the drawer right beside him; scanning through before pulling out a file that read 'Wakes'. He slid a hand over the top of the flow before opening it.

He knew all too well at where she died but not of the exact reason why or whom. That part was still a mystery he need to discover. The only piece of the puzzle he was able to discover was a strand of blonde hair. He ran it through the database and found it to be a dead end; which was frustrating. Angelica Wakes was one of his best and top students after learning how to control her abilities well with the help of his own. Wanting to know more, he went to the only place he could think of. He went back to cerebro without telling anyone but Hank; who was more than willing to help.

"I need you to put in the date Wakes died." Xavier told Hank. Beast looked at him as if he wasn't sure if he should. "Are you-" He started to ask but Charles stopped him by saying "Yes. I need to know what exactly happened." Hank looked at him for a moment before sighing and placing in the date. Once the projection was up, he was scanning through to see if he could see who else was there where Wakes stood. Spotting her, he could see another woman in the distance. The woman that Angelica was facing and had seemed to be speaking with. Everything went in slow motion as he looked deeper.

It wasn't till he spotted someone nearby watching the whole situation taking place when he went closer to get a better view of their face. Wrong mistake. It had seemed as if the person could feel his presence and turned their head to exactly where Xavier stood. The professor was surprised to an extend but kept his composure. "Who are-" He started to say as the person took a step forward towards Charles. This person had the ability to enter Xavier's mind since he currently had it open to see the past event. "Thank you for letting me in." The person said as not only their own intentions were shown in the professor's mind, but their power.

Hank, from outside of Charles' mind, was experiencing some technical difficulties and attempted to pull Charles back out of using Cerebro. "I've never felt power like this before." Charles said as his eyes fully turned dark from the person in his mind. Breaking through, Charles started to scream in pain. Storm was wondering where Xavier had went, so she started to look; till she arrived at cerebro. Finding the both of them, she ran over and asked what was happening.

Hank told her and that's when she heard Xavier's pained voice yell at her to destroy it. To destroy cerebro. Letting her power take over, she started to electrocute all of the screens in the room; destroying them piece by piece. Hank had managed to take off the helmet on Charles' head and get him out of the room. Storm followed not so long after she was done. Once the doors to cerebro were closed, she saw Xavier's state and told Hank that they needed to get him to his bed.

Moments passed and they were able to lay him down on his bed so he could rest. Exiting, Storm asked Hank how he got in that position once she got there. "I don't know. He.. He mentioned seeing someone without actually saying he did. I'm not sure who or what they were for him to have that sort of reaction but I can tell you one thing, by the way he reacted... it seemed as if the person could inflict a lot of pain and are strong." He said before they glanced over at Xavier before lookin back at each other. "What I cant shake off is what he mentioned afterwards." He added. "What do you mean?" She asked him with her arms crossed over her chest. "He said he had never felt power like that before." Hank stated and she gave off a worried look. "That can't be good." - "It isn't." Hank replied back.
