Making it to the vehicle, your father opened the door for you before saying he was going to have a word with Logan; leaving you and Peter alone together for a moment. Peter could see how much pain you were in and tried to help by trying to get you to think of anything else but the pain. The beam wasn't so big either, it was small enough to allow you to sit in the car; didn't mean the position you were currently in due to it, was comfortable.

"I over heard Steve talking earlier. He thinks you should go to Stark for your injuries." Peter mentioned. "What?" You breathed out through the pain and that's when Peter thought it was best if he didn't speak on the topic anymore and rather change it. "So me and Ned finished another LEGO design." He started to say before mentioning that it got destroyed which caused you to laugh because of the face he pulled. You immediately stopped though due to the pain; didn't mean that your laugh didn't cause a small smile from Peter's face.

Peter took a glance at one of the rear view mirrors that gave him some sight of the people behind them. He was able to catch two out of the few that were there during the battle. Steve and Wade. Steve's face, however, didn't look so amused. The door beside you opened and Wade's head popped in. "Hey there." He said as he sat at the open seat beside you. You were sitting in the middle seat. "Hey, Peter." Wade announced in his usual tone as Peter said hi back when they literally were battling along side each other not too long ago.

"Alright." Steve said as he sighed softly before getting into the driver's side and starting the car. He didn't like heading towards the one place he was not wanted; well, most in the area thought he was a 'fugitive' because of what happened. The ride didn't take too long but you were going in and out of consciousness. Wade's voice, along with Peter, were the ones keeping you from passing out. Peter was the one to carry you inside the building as Wade followed. Steve in lead.

"Natasha." You faintly heard you're father say. He was speaking with Natasha who had just came from a room. "He's waiting." You were able to pick up from her before she and Steve walked out into a different area to speak further. Peter and Wade continued on through the doorway where she had exited from. Your eyes were slowly closing but Peter said something to keep you awake. "Ah, if it's not Metal man." Wade announced when they arrived at the place.

"And if it's not-" Tony started to say before shaking his head. "Never mind" he added, avoiding conflict as he dried his hands. "Bring her to the medical bed." He told Peter when he saw him beside Wade with you in his arms. "So, this is the secret Steve kept." Tony said as Wade kept an eye on him. "I knew he was hiding something." He added. "Like you don't have a few secrets of your own?" Wade stated and you called his name so he could stop before he even started. He went and stood beside you as Tony got to work on putting you to sleep so he could remove the beam.

1 hour & 30 minutes later

Wade stood by your bedside as you rested but Peter insisted on staying when Tony mentioned that he was told that only one person could stay. Wade was about to fuss when Peter gave a look over at Wade and he nodded; leaving you and Peter alone. Tony was in his lab working on some parts after he was done patching you up. "Where..." you started to say as you started to wake. Peter was by your side and gently took your hand. "Hey, you're okay." He reassured your in a soft tone.

Opening your eyes, you noticed you weren't in your room but in a medical area. Sitting up too quickly, you winced and grunted at the pain. "Relax, breathe. You're in a safe place" Peter mentioned as Tony walked in. "I'm assuming you're probably wondering where you are and why." Tony started to say before rephrasing "well, more on the where because I'm nearly positive you know why." That's when you looked over at the man. "Your father brought you to me because of your injuries." He stated before you told him your name and he apologized for you assuming that he in fact killed your mother. He knew of her because of past events.

This made you think for a bit before nodding. "He also requested that I..." he started to say before sighing softly "look after you. As some form of token of an apology for how things turned out. But also as a protective case because of the whole fiasco." He mentioned and you nodded understandingly. "Where.... where would I stay besides my home?" You asked and he softly smiled. "There's an extra room I had made. You can take it." He replied before telling Peter to show you as he left.

"I guess I'm staying here then." You muttered with a breath and Peter chuckled softly with a nod. "I suppose you are." He replied with a smile. "Come on" he added as he helped you along the way to the elevator. "I wanted to thank you." You told him and he was confused at first, so you expounded on what you were thankful for. "For helping me at school, when I was in need of a shoulder to lean on, a friend, assistance during battle." You finished saying before adding "and for helping me today."

Peter couldn't help but smile brighter. "You're welcome. Besides, I'll always be around to help and be a shoulder to lean on." He replied. Right as you got to your room, he stopped you. "Wait.." he said and you turned around to look at him. "Yeah?" You asked questioningly. He didn't say anything but gently grabbed either side of your face as he kissed you. A bit surprised, you couldn't help but fall into it and kiss him back. He was the one to pull back as he looked into your eyes. "I've been waiting to do that" he mentioned with a small chuckle; causing you to chuckle as well. "I guess you have" you teased and he made a funny face which made you laugh again. "Alright alright" you said as you winced in pain. "I'll see you tomorrow? You should get some rest." He said and you nodded. "Bye spider" you told him. "Bye sparrow" he replied with a smile as he left and you went into the room with a smile of your own.
