taeyong was back in his apartment a day after. he was supposed to stay longer but he didn't want to cause more problems in the house so he took the initiative to leave.

you could say he was avoiding his grandmother. he knows that once he told the truth, he won't be able to handle the wrath of his family. he figured it'd be okay this way--his family not knowing anything. leaving the secret with mark and the victim herself.

he could only wish that his grandmother would not spread out the secret. he had a plan all along, he was just fulfilling it silently so no one would know.

the story behind was rather awful. and it was all because of jaehyun.

"jaehyun, you can't!"

"i can and i will."

just like that, the important piece of paper was torn apart. he didn't even consider how taeyong would feel. he was just willing to do everything for him to stay with him. he became rather possessive and sometimes, the most drastic things happen under his control.

taeyong frowned with the memory. it was a very intense day he remembered. he could feel the same emotions from that day years ago. it was all fresh and it reminded him of that one day vividly.

right now he shopped for chips and alcohol. he planned to just chill in his place and invite mark over. or maybe not, he doesn't know. all he wanted to do was go home and not mind anything else before he goes out of town for jungwoo.

goodness, why do my favorite chips always end up at the top shelves? he asks inside his head frustrated. he stared at the bag of chips at the top and pouted. no one was in the aisle with him and so he just sighed.

"need a hand?" a man said from behind him and suddenly, the bag of chips he was staring at was grabbed and tossed in his cart.

great. he sighed. this guy. "thanks." he just said with a small smile.

"we've been meeting in this grocery store twice now. why are you here? i thought you were supposed to stay at your parents?" he asked.

jaehyun seemed to be in a good mood because he was already eating a bag of popcorn he hasn't even paid for yet and he does that when he's had a happy day. obviously opposite to taeyong.

"nanny showed up. got into an argument." taeyong replied before pushing his cart. jaehyun followed close still munching on caramel corn. "so you're staying here? until you go to jungwoo's?"

"pretty much." taeyong replies before getting a jar of salsa and going straight to the cashier.

"can you include my stuff? i'll pay you after." taeyong looked at the man with a brow raised. jaehyun then sighed and looked at the line for people without carts. "the line's too long and i'm only paying for a bottle of wine, doritos and popcorn." he whined like a child.

taeyong only rolled his eyes as a sign of defeat from his cute face and jaehyun cheered before placing his items on the counter. "so, you wanna hang out or something?" he asked ever so casually.

for a while, he sounded like phoebe in that one friends episode inside taeyong's head but then he looked at him again. was it normal form him and i to hang out at a day like this? taeyong thought inside his head.

"i mean, it's been a while since we last hung out, and there's no one else but us. it's gonna take us a few more days before we see the guys." he shrugged looking at the bill.

in the end, taeyong agreed to hang out in his place and pass time watching movies. for taeyong, it seems so weird how jaehyun and him are together with nothing happening but hanging out.

jaehyun could've hung out with his other friends from work or went to a club but he chose to stay with taeyong. he kinda had the feeling that taeyong was lonely, and now that he was back in his apartment and not with his parents, jaehyun completely understood that something went wrong that results to taeyong being alone.

maybe jaehyun doesn't feel it, maybe he doesn't even feel anything with taeyong by his side. if he thinks about it, he might feel it. but for now, it's better this way--not minding anything but the movie in front of them.

since it was taeyong's place, jaehyun settled with whatever taeyong put on--that being the movie with the craziest plot twist--orphan.

what was he thinking? jaehyun asked inside his head and decided to just watch quietly with taeyong beside him.

unfortunately, it just so happens that the movie played where the character came back to the house. well, it was nearing the end which means more killing scenes. something taeyong didn't want to watch ever again.

jaehyun looked to his side and taeyong was curled up in a ball, stuffing his face with chips and a comforter layered around him. he was shivering from the cool air coming out of the a/c and his other hand covered most of his eyes.

jaehyun decided to lower the volume and face taeyong. "okay, what were you thinking?" he asks.

taeyong looks at him and pouted. "you know you don't like horror movies, why watch this one?" he added.

taeyong never liked them, for real. he just wanted to see if he can handle horror movies now so he watched one. turns out, he still can't--hence the movie being watched recently as jaehyun saw.

"do you want me to pick another title?" jaehyun asks grabbing the remote and pausing.

"no." taeyong answers. he fixed himself on the bed and exhaled deeply. "i wanna see how it turns out in the end. i just need to take a breather." he sighs and shook his arms.

jaehyun suddenly removed the bowl of chips from in between them before placing them on his stomach. he took the drinks and placed them on the night stand. taeyong thought he knew what he was about to do, and indeed, it was what he always did like before.

jaehyun pulled the scared man closer to him and kept him in his embrace. something jaehyun always does when taeyong was being stubborn in horror movies. before, taeyong acted all tough saying he can take horror movies and jaehyun ends up cuddling him to calm him down when the scary parts come.

now, it's just like before. and although taeyong found it weird now, he still went with it because he was scared.

jaehyun played the film and increased the volume. taeyong cuddled deep into his side unconsciously that made jaehyun smile softly.

twenty minutes into the movie, they finally reached the ending and taeyong was still curled up in a ball next to jaehyun.

"i'm not your fucking mommy!"

taeyong cringed as he sees the character's broken neck before being kicked back into the water. "okay baby, it's finished. you can stop hiding now."

taeyong got up and fixed himself from the bed. he grabbed the drink from the night stand and took a sip. his throat ran dry from screaming next to jaehyun but he didn't, at all, feel bad.

but then, he froze. "what did you say?" he asked turning back to the man.

"what? i said 'okay it's finished, stop hiding now.'" jaehyun answered before getting up and fixing the comforters once again.

taeyong's eyebrows furrowed and his forehead made a crease. hmm, i thought i heard something. he thought. he shrugged off and grabbed the remote.

"don't leave yet, let's watch something else." taeyong says munching on chips. he flipped through genres moving from title to title until he found nothing interesting.

"you're doubting movies again. i told you, don't judge the movie based on the poster and title, there might be something interesting when you start to watch it." jaehyun tilted his head looking at taeyong but he just pouted again.

"alright, let's just watch a sitcom again to take your mind off of the movie." the man suggested before taking the remote from taeyong's hand. "what do you wanna watch? big bang theory? friends or how i met your mother?"

"do you really have to ask? of course we're watching friends!" taeyong grinned with stars in his eyes. jaehyun smiled and clicked on the title. he sat back on the bed beside taeyong and grabbed the bowl of chips.

not even a few minutes into the show and jaehyun already found taeyong asleep on his shoulder. just then, his smiled grew wider.

(A/N: decided to update twice a week, im including the saturdays bc im starting my classes again very soon and i plan to finish this within the month sooooo... but yeah ill still construct plots and work on the neo series so i can finally finish it mwah)
