(A/N: surprise! lol you're gonna hate me for this...)
and just like that, taeyong never saw jaehyun again. it's like jaehyun never went into his life and ruined it in the process. like a bubble, he was just gone. taeyong didn't know what to do. he was slowly losing his mind. he had no single idea what was happening. all his friends were worried about him. he didn't eat, he was letting his systems fail and his body was close to breaking down.
taeyong was miserable for the next week after that. until the month after that, and another month after that. there was no trace of jaehyun everywhere. not a single information about the man. like he was abducted and murdered before being thrown to the sea.
taeyong wished for all the gods to not let that happen. he didn't care if he can't see him anymore, but he certainly hoped he was okay at the least.
taeyong felt nothing but rage. the moment he opened the door next to his, it was all empty. like no one ever moved in to the flat next to his. it was all clean and he was even caught by the staff of the apartment building that he was trespassing. there's no trespassing if there's no one living in there, and besides, the door was unlocked.
he asked everywhere. he asked his own manager in the club only to be answered with "he just didn't come to work one day." he also asked the manager of the cafe he's been working for and said the same. he then asked the manager of the apartment building he's living in and was answered by "he pulled out everything in the middle of the night." he just can't find him anymore.
right when i was already catching feelings. he thought. everything just seemed to happen so fast. he met jaehyun, had sex, and suddenly he's gone. as his feelings were too. no normal person, and he meant no one, would ever catch feelings that quick for someone he just had sex with. he just so happens to be one of those people who felt love at first sex.
no denying, jaehyun's features were to die for. anyone would fall for him right on the spot. but taeyong felt an extraordinary spark that was no near to just having a crush. it was all so different for the both of them.
in a month or so, he was back to his job--stripping for the men. he waited tables on the regular days like he did as always. he was back to his boring life.
now it's been about 6 months and still no sign of jaehyun. the spirit of christmas was already evident from the atmosphere around him. christmas was just around the corner and what he only wished was for jaehyun to be back.
in a span of 6 months, everything was a rollercoaster ride. for the man, it was a series of ups and downs and he doesn't know how long until he can get off that ride. he was stuck on that one seat and he couldn't get up for himself.
when he met the woman, he didn't know who she was. he had no idea this is how he'll end up. it was way different from how he imagined himself he'd turn up.
he was given two different numbers on the same day. wonder how weird that was. as it turns out, he just needed to make the right phone call. he just needed to choose which one was real and which one wasn't. all he needed was to pick one from the two.
he chose the one that was left for him in the cafe. sure, cafes are not suspicious, who would raise a suspicion from seeing you in a cafe. anyone could and leave a number for you. but so was a club.
a club where tons of hot people would come gushing over a regular bartender that just so happens to be that gorgeous.
at first, he thought it was one of those people who leave numbers so they could hook up, but when it was explained to him that it was different from those people, he read the message and figured it had to be an important one.
he ended up calling the wrong number from the two. it was two different people but the good odds didn't seem to go with him.
what he didn't know was he was already calling his grandmother. the grandmother from his adoptive parents. the mean and vicious people who were neglective during his years back in america.
his grandmother needed him for the sake of a company. he was used for a good 4 months. his stuff was pulled out from his apartment, and he just stopped going to work one day.
he had no idea his grandmother would be like that to him. he was trapped inside a huge mansion where servants served him food from time to time, trying to keep him alive inside those walls.
he was going to be sold to the highest bidder, that's what's coming for him.
and he didn't know that until he heard his own grandmother speak on the phone with one of her friends. he was discreetly abducted and was going to be sold off to another man.
his grandmother didn't have anything left to auction and so he found this rare man with outstanding looks, and she only realized it when she remembered that his own rebel son had adopted a gorgeous boy.
they took every electronics he had with him that can be used to contact anyone from outside the mansion. he didn't say goodbye to his new made friends, to his boss, and even taeyong.
until one night, he found a stray phone from the island of the kitchen. it was 2 am when he woke up for a drink. he couldn't sleep and right when he found a phone laying around, he didn't think twice and quickly snatched it away.
he grabbed a glass and filled it with water as quiet as possible before leaving the place.
there inside his room, he finally made the right call.
he didn't know whose number it was, but he sure hoped it was someone else's not connected to to his grandmother. he prayed to all the gods that it would be someone that could help save him. and this time, the odds went with him.
it was his real grandmother.
he wondered how his real grandmother found him through billions of people after losing him on dead parents. his parents ran away from home and when they died, he didn't know anyone related to him.
but damn, this grandmother had connections--good connections.
finding him was a different and longer story. his grandmother took care of all of it and he was just a lost little boy trying to find an escape from everything that was happening. all he wanted was to escape and find taeyong.
both grandparents knew each other, apparently. what are the odds? he thought. but this time, he was going to be saved for real.
that night, when his real grandmother came, he knew he felt a real connection. she didn't know the woman, but something in him keeps pushing him to trust her. like she was a superhero in disguise. he could feel that it was all real.
his grandmother resembled that face of his mother. it was faint, but she was beautiful and jaehyun can see it distinctly. it was like looking at an older version of his mother--much much older, but it was there.
he felt the spark of home he's never felt for almost a lifetime.
that night, both grandmothers fought for jaehyun. they broke alliances just for jaehyun. and suddenly, everything was falling into place.
his real grandmother was making sure that his fake grandmother will rot and drown.
but jaehyun didn't care at that point. he wasn't listening, he wasn't looking at anything, his mind was flying away and all he thought about was taeyong. how was he going to go back to taeyong? how was he going to explain all this to taeyong? will taeyong accept him after months of leaving?
it was all a series of question until he couldn't really answer it anymore. he had a plan--but it was being clouded with worry.
for the next two months, he was safe and sound. he decided not to contact anyone from the six months that had passed. he needed to recreate his plan inside his head. he needed to make sure it will work. he needed the time to clear everything and only think about taeyong.
but what if he already found someone else to replace me? jaehyun thought.
and suddenly, all his plans came crashing down once again. now, he was stuck and he needed to rethink everything all over again. and he needed to make it work.
(A/N: LOL even i hate myself for this)
