looking out the window, he felt nostalgic. it was his first time seeing the changes made around the concrete jungle of seoul. after the decade of not stepping foot into the country, he felt like shaking inside. the primary reason of his departure from this city is what brought him back here now. oh how he was dreading to see his ex-husband's face.

his ex-husband doesn't even have any idea why he could be here. he awaits his reaction but fears it at the same time. what will happen to the twins if he finds out they were switched? he thought. what if he already found out?

as the car turned around the block, he spots a rather wide gate. it was crazy how minhyung was the one who got them a cab, told directions, and almost even acted as his tour guide at that. he remembers most of the things the kid pointed out, and he looked at his son who smiled all the way as he did. what will happen if minhyung and him gets separated soon?

minhyung was also the one who asked the cab to a stop. outside was a huge white brick wall and a black gate. jaehyun only stared outside until he felt minhyung hold his hand from beside him.

"dad, we're here." he said.

they both got out and proceeded to take their bags out of the trunk. "see dad, it's fun to ride the cab too. even if johnny hyung is not here yet." minhyung added as he helped his father.

as the cab driver was paid and took off, jaehyun looked at the huge wall. same land, different house. he said inside his head. he held his son's hand a little tighter and they both walked up closer to the gate.

the rang the buzzer and they know someone's already looking through the cameras. minhyung said his papa rarely fired house staffs. i hope they recognize me after almost a decade had passed.

it took them a while before guards opened the gates. minhyung and jaehyun thought they were going to be interrogated through speakers but they guessed they were recognized. did taeyong recognize me?

as the gates were opened, it revealed a slim man, a little shorter than him. no, it wasn't taeyong. it's ten.

"it is him."

"oh my god."

he heard staff from behind the man gasp. "jaehyun..." ten almost said in a whisper, eyes fixated on the man. his eyes traveled down and saw the other twin. "oh, minhyung!" he almost screamed and went in to hug the small boy.

"hyung!" he smiled discreetly. he knew his ten hyung was quick-witted. it wasn't gonna take long for him to bust them out. but he also knew his ten hyung could keep a secret.

jaehyun was left shocked to see ten first. he never changed his right-hand man. i knew ten will never leave his side. inside his head, he was genuinely happy. his ex-husband wasn't left by his best friend. he knew he trusted the right guy.

"jaehyun, what are you doing here?" ten  asked as soon as he was back in position.

"it's a long story. i suppose you know the story by now?" jaehyun let out a small smile.

ten sighed lightly and also smiled. "i do. minhyung sent me a text using an international number. i believe that number is yours? your little brats are something, huh."

"we just came to see taeyong. i'm here to explain everything that happened. does he know?" jaehyun asked. ten only shook his head no. "i'm the only one who knows."

he stepped closer and tried to keep his voice down. "i must warn you, though. right now's not the best time. the boys are being scolded and i don't know how he'll take it if he sees you here."

jaehyun blinked, tilting his head to the side.

"boys?"

"no, you two are grounded!"

they've never seen their papa this mad. for taeyong, minhyung had never been mean to his uncles. this is the first time and he's had enough. it shamed him to see his son acting like that all of a sudden.

mark didn't mean to be so rude to his uncle doyoung. he just didn't realize he was already being so rude until he was scolded. he was slowly losing the plan he had in mind.

now sungchan was also dragged into the mess because he defended his brother even if he didn't do anything himself. for him it's fine because it's his hyung. but for mark, he felt guilt.

a few days into the house with their uncle doyoung and he didn't get himself used to the fact that his papa is having a relationship with his so-called best friend. he wanted his plan to work so much that he didn't realize his papa was hurting by the fact that his sons were not going to accept the man he loves now.

inside his head, he wanted to say sorry. he was really sorry because his papa hurt silently. he was just worried about his dad. if there's papa taeyong and uncle doyoung, there's no papa taeyong and daddy jaehyun.

they were still being scolded in the living room and they both had their head down, kneeling before their furious father.

"i didn't raise you two to be rude to your uncles. this is the first time and i told you to cut it out but you still continued. if i don't ground you, how else are you going to learn from your mistakes, huh?! why ar--"

"papa?"

taeyong stopped and furrowed his eyebrows once more. he turned around only to see a clone of his son minhyung.

his breathing stopped and he only stared at the small boy who looked exactly like his son. is this really him? exactly the same as him? how are they exactly alike?

he wanted to speak but he was too stunned to see that this boy is even real.

"taeyong."

a wave of a familiarly cold voice sent chills to his spine all of a sudden. no, it can't be.

jaehyun showed himself in front of him. jaehyun was there, breathing the same air, in the same house, looking right in his eyes. he changed so much that taeyong could barely remember how he was a decade ago. taeyong changed so much as well and everything was new for jaehyun.

"why are you here?" taeyong didn't even bother to ask how he was or even bothered to say hello.

"minhyung!"

suddenly, the two boys didn't bother getting scolded. they both ran to the other twin who stood bewildered beside their dad. and taeyong had no absolute idea what the heck went on.

what the heck is going on? he thought.

he watched as his two boys hugged the small clone as if they knew him all this time. he was dumbfounded. he looked at jaehyun and he, too, can see the absolute confusion on his face as he looked at the three boys.

"papa," he heard sungchan ask in a tiny voice.

"is he my dad?"

the three little boys were left outside yet they can still hear the yelling inside the office. they were sad, to say the least, hearing how their parents wanted to rip each other's throats out.

"what happened, mark?" minhyung asked in a low tone. he hung his head low. he thinks he caused all this mess by bringing his dad so early in korea.

"minhyung-ah..." mark started, "papa has a boyfriend."

minhyung turned his head so quick on the boy beside him. "what?"

mark sighed and rubbed his head lightly. "it was the day after i got here that i woke up early and heard him speaking to a man in the kitchen. his name's doyoung."

"what? no, you're mistaken. that's papa's best friend." minhyung defended quickly.

"he knows, hyung." sungchan said all of a sudden. "and he helped me catch papa too. they're not just best friends anymore. and ten hyung knows this. they're just waiting for the right time to tell us."

minhyung sat down the couch. "but, what about dad?"

"we don't know too. but we can't stop papa from this. you know that, right? we were already getting scolded when you showed up earlier." mark explained.

suddenly they heard a loud crash from inside the room.

"see what you did?" taeyong scowled before kicking the shards of glass away from them.

"i'm sorry, i'll replace it." jaehyun could only sigh. they've been arguing for minutes. it's the first time they see each other again, and here they're already arguing.

taeyong was about to exit his office when an arm stopped him. "taeyong, we're not done talking." jaehyun said firmly. "you have to explain to me what the fuck is going on."

taeyong pushed his arm away and faced him. "i don't have to explain anything to you!" he almost screamed.

"you were already out of my life, why do you even bother to know what goes on with me now?!" he yelled.

"because!" and he could only reply with that word. there was no absolute idea for him to know if that little kid is his. "because nothing. you should be explaining to me, even! how did you and mark end up here?"

jaehyun exhaled deeply and rubbed the bridge of his nose. he doesn't know how his ex would react to the fact he's about to say. nevertheless, he has to tell him now. "taeyong, the kid with me wasn't mark, it was minhyung."

suddenly, taeyong looked at him as if he grew a dozen heads. there was no way he's believing something like it. and so he raised his brows. "cut the crap, jaehyun."

"it's true." jaehyun sighed for the nth time. "they met at the neo camp and switched places on us, taeyong. why do you think i'd come here with the other half?"

taeyong crossed his arms, still a little in doubt. "how do i know you're not lying? where did you even get that information?"

jaehyun sat on the small couch found on one side of the room. "i read it on the progress report. they were in isolation together. probably how they figured out too. did you not receive the progress report?"

taeyong cleared his throat and looked down. "no, i haven't received it yet."

jaehyun looked at him intently. he observed how his face is much prettier now. he's flawless as he was before and he's glad he's still like it. which means he's been taking care of himself. they really went their separate ways.

"how about you tell me who that little kid is now?" he started off slowly.

taeyong turned to look at him slowly, shyly. he doesn't know how to explain. he rubbed his forehead with the bottom of his palm. "did you get pregnant with another man after i left?"

"you think i'm that kind of a slut?!" taeyong suddenly raised his voice accidentally.

"i'm not implying that you are. that's why i'm asking!" and at this point, jaehyun just wanted to match the level so he raised his voice lightly too.

"why do you even care? i told you i have nothing to explain to you."

"oh you don't?" jaehyun scoffed giving out the sarcasm as he stood up facing taeyong. "as i recall we did something before we got divorced."

"wow you reminisced, huh? did you hope i'd be pregnant after you left?" taeyong questioned as if he was challenging something.

jaehyun didn't speak. he didn't want to say yes then he'd have to explain it. "that doesn't matter--"

"no, i'm asking you if you did!"

"i did!"

he brushed his entire face with his palms. "i hoped you did so i'd come back and we'd stop the divorce. but you never said anything so i assumed nothing happened."

taeyong stopped for a while looking  at nowhere.

"but that kid--that kid looks old enough that i'd think he was made from that time. from the time we did something before i left. but he looks like you so i don't know." both his hands gripped his own hair turning away from taeyong.

"his name's sungchan." taeyong suddenly said. "he's yours."

"you're right. he's made from the time wee had sex before we got a divorce. before we argued, before everything happened." sungchan was made from the last time we shared our love.

jaehyun stared in his eyes as if he could see right through them. face expressionless, he had no idea how to react. he sure had a hunch but he couldn't know for sure. now he does and a lot of questions were popping inside his head meaning to be answered.

how can he hide sungchan from me? i should've been there to help him during his pregnancy. i should've been there to buy every single one of his cravings, soothe his back after every barf. how could he?

"so you just thought to hide him from me?" was the first thing that could come out of jaehyun's mouth. "no explanation? no texts?" his eyes were starting to tear up.

"not a single message? you didn't think to reach out? did you really want me out of his life that bad?"

"no, it's not like that--"

"then, what? why did i have to find out a decade later when we came here only to switch our sons back? if i didn't come here, were you ever gonna introduce him to me?"

right now they sound like an arguing married couple. suddenly, a phone rang from the desk. it was taeyong's.

babe <3. it read.

and taeyong didn't mean for jaehyun to see it. "ahh, you're seeing someone else? do our children know? was he going to be the father figure of sungchan?" jaehyun furrowed his eyes.

"jaehyun, please. it's none of your business. sungchan is your son, that's all you need to know from me!" taeyong was frustrated as he is from scolding the kids and now jaehyun was adding to it.

"so sungchan is my son, are you never gonna let him see me?"

"jaehyun, stop it! we'll talk about it another time, you should go!" taeyong yelled.

"no, we'll talk about it now. i already lost 10 years from minhyung and sungchan, who knows how long it's gonna be before you let me see them again!"

suddenly, a small voice interrupted their huge argument. "papa, why are you fighting?"

sungchan said with his brothers behind him.

and all of a sudden, all anger left jaehyun's body as he saw sungchan.

he's my son.
