it was night and mark still couldn't sleep. the lights were out and his friends put on flashlights to read their books. he closed his eyes and forced to sleep but something else was really bugging his mind.

aside from that, he finally remembered where he can see the resemblance of that small boy named sungchan. he got up from the bed and went to his suitcase. he took out his tin can box and rummaged through dozens of papers and photos. until he found the one.

it was a photo of his papa. the papa he's never met in his life.

the wrinkled photo with marking's on the back was stolen from his dad's drawer of his deepest secrets. his dad didn't even realize it was already gone because he chose not to look back at it for at least 2 years now. mischievous mark always found something valuable back in his younger days.

he figured his papa was famous because the shot in the photo looked like he was a big deal and it looked like it was a professional photoshoot as well. he wanted to know his papa and look for him, even online, but he doesn't know his name.

he couldn't ask his dad because he was afraid he'd yell at him or even tell him to forget about it. but he couldn't forget about it. for years, he wanted to know.

he studied his papa's features but then, one of his friends came up behind him. "couldn't sleep?"

he flipped the photo and put it back his box before hiding it behind his luggage. he faced the boy and it turns out to be haechan. "hey, why aren't you asleep yet?" he asked back.

"i just asked you that." haechan said with a pokerface. he fixed himself on mark's bed and brought out his playing cards. "are you anxious about that kid that looks like you?" he said as he shuffled cards.

mark didn't answer and just watched how the cards flipped over his fingers and shuffled back to the deck. he did usual tricks mark would already know. and he wasn't getting tired anytime soon so he decided to stay up with haechan and play whatever game. they didn't try to bother their friends who read in peace.

"could it be possible that... you're related?"

"that's impossible." mark, then, stole the deck from his hands before starting to shuffle again. "is it though?" haechan answered. "you didn't even know i had a twin from the other cabin. what if you see him and mistaken him to be me?"

mark stared at nowhere for a few seconds and shuffled again. "that only happens in movies, haechan." he said and started dealing two cards.

"hey, i don't know how to play poker." haechan answered pouting.

suddenly, they hear a noise coming from outside their cabin. they turned to look at each other and mark decided to come out to see what it was. "mark don't."

"why not? i'm just checking to see." mark said putting on his slippers and walking towards the door. oh this boy! haechan whined inside his head.

they weren't supposed to be out because it's already lights out and if they're caught coming out of their cabins, they're going to be punished. "renjunie!" haechan whisper-yelled to the reading boy asking for help to stop mark.

"mark, don't go out!" renjun whisper-yelled as well trying not to wake the others.

"you're such a scaredy cat, no one will even see." mark was absolutely not backing down and proceeded to open the door before going out.

he looked around to see where the fuss was coming from. it looked like a group of boys were fooling around and plotting a prank to the next cabin boys. he stepped out and his awaken friends were left to observe his actions from the windows and the door.

"mark, this is not a good idea." one of them said as a whisper but mark just continued to walk further away from the wooden room.

when he reached the boys, he sees them lighting something he couldn't quite figure out. but it was clear to his eyes they were about to burn something next to the windows of the next cabin boys. for his age, he understood that it was a prank, but even him would think it's getting to far.

somehow, he caught a glimpse of some of their faces. they were american little boys. ahh it's some of those boys who are not being raised right. he thought out of nowhere.

and suddenly, the fire started and mark watched as the fire grew even bigger than he thought they would only make. this prank was definitely a mistake.

"dude, what did you do? it's not supposed to grow so big!" one of the boys said. from behind him, mark's friends only watched in fright on what was about to happen. wow, these boys are no joke. mark thought inside his head.

"man, we can't put out a fire that big!" one of the boys said and decided to go against his friends. yes, he ran away from the fire. and at one thought, the rest of his friends thought the same. they all ran away and left the fire to grow bigger beside the wooden cabin.

this is dangerous. mark looked around to help out the fire out. he sees one kid about his size that did the same. he didn't know who it was but maybe it was one of the boys who actually had the heart to help put out the fire they started.

mark found a bucket laying around from under the tree. he grabbed it quick and ran to the lake to get some water. the other boy ran to him and helped him carry the rather heavy bucket of freshwater. "hurry!" he tells the other boy. he finally figured out who it was. of course, this creepy clone.

they spewed it out to the fire and right as they did, they heard sharp blows of whistles coming from somewhere. "no! what did you do?!"

the staff and headmasters ran going to them and helped put out the fire. suddenly, the two boys were pulled back and they watched as the elderly people help each other in putting out the fire.

once it was all out, the headmaster turned to them quick with an evident scowl on his face. "pack your bags, isolation cabin for you two!"

one staff came with the headmaster as they marched going to the isolated cabin far from the other kids. they carried their bags with no help from the elder people and it was just them carrying their rather heavy bags, from the backpacks to suitcases, and other duffels--surely, it was all heavy, considering they're rich with branded bags.

"okay boys," the man turned around to face them with a stern look. "start setting up. you'll be staying here for the rest of camp." they looked at the high wooden cabin. it is, without a doubt, the scariest out of all cabins in the camping area.

mark and minhyung frowned with the same face and started climbing up the stairs.

once they were in, they were left to set up. "this sucks." mark whispered, letting down his weighty bags on one side and sitting down the bed.

"hey," the other boy started. "who says you get that side of the room?" minhyung furrowed his eyebrows looking at his clone. "uhh, i do?" minhyung on the other hand crossed his arms with one brow raised. "and why you?"

"because i got it first. sorry little clone, finders keepers." mark pushed past him and began to arrange his things. "wha--? clone? i'm not a clone. it's not my fault i was born with a face mysteriously shaped like yours."

mark just rolled his eyes and continued arranging his things without looking back at the other boy. "fine! have that side of the room." minhyung dropped his bags on the other side of the room and sat on the bed.

he sighed. "how i wish you were here right now, sungchan." he whispered.

when sleep time came, both boys stared at the ceiling afraid to close the lights. the trees surrounding their cabin sure didn't help with their scare. neither of them wanted to take the initiative to just turn the lights of and just go to sleep.

"dude, just turn the lights off so we can sleep." mark started.

"why don't you do it?"

"and why me?"

"because you said it."

they both just groaned after and turned the other side to avoid each other's faces. they huffed out loud at the same time and just scowled.

suddenly, the rain started pouring down. it wasn't just a light rain, oh no, it was heavy rain. real heavy rain that they can hear the wind whooshing around outside their window. and heavy enough that the power went out.

"oh great." minhyung scoffed and rolled is eyes. now they can sleep. or maybe not?

but a few minutes have passed and they didn't go to sleep. they were both having their eyes wide open and it was pretty clear neither one of them would be snoring in any minute. and then, minhyung spoke.

"you don't like me, do you?" he asks out of the blue.

"obviously." mark rolled his eyes. "why is that?"

"well duh, you and your friends started the fire. all for a stupid prank. i tried to put it out but i was even put here with you just for that. you're the cause for this."

suddenly, minhyung sat up looking at him from across the room with an unreadable expression. "my friends? i didn't even know who those guys were. i went out of our cabin because they were making a fuss outside our window. i even helped you put out the fire, remember? come on, it's not my fault."

it was obvious for mark that minhyung wanted to be friends. he just found a clone of himself, of course he'd want to be friends.

mark, on the other hand, also sat up and smiled. he admit it was wrong of him to put the blame so quickly. "you're right, i'm sorry." he said and they both stood up from the bed to go and shake each other's hands.

"friends?" mark smiled and reached for the other's hand. "friends."

right when they shook hands, they felt some sort of electricity or spark of some kind in their palms. what could that mean?
