SunxGladion
As Gladion furiously checked the lab room, Sun casually checked the bookcase. He found no books of solid tie to Nebby, but the books cleared up a lot of information about Gladion's Type: Null.
The poor thing.
As Gladion searched through the computer's contents, Sun turned from the bookcase to face the blond.
"You...Do you wanna talk about any of this?" Sun asked.
"No." Gladion stated immediately.
"Gladion...this is big stuff."
Gladion sighed and lowered his head, "I found out what they were doing to Null...I couldn't just sit back and watch..."
Sun nodded, giving Gladion his silent approval.
"I've done some bad things...unforgivable things..." He whispered, "But Null...it was never a waste of my time."
Gladion lifted one of his sleeves to reveal an arm of scars, "The amount of times Null attacked me is uncountable. But the friendship I gained is something you just can't put a price on," Gladion turned to look at Sun, "Ya know?"
Gladion's soft expression pierced Sun's heart. He felt heat involuntarily rise to his cheeks as Gladion's eyes looked into his.
Gladion's gaze returned to the computer screen and after awhile his face lit up. Sun's blush became deeper as Gladion smiled. Gladion rushed to the Pokémon containment chamber next to the bookcase and typed a code into the padlock. The lock clicked open and Gladion grabbed a couple Pokéballs from inside of it. He stuffed them in his bag and put a hand on Sun's shoulder.
"Thanks for listening. I guess you're not so bad." Gladion said, nodding.
Butterfree erupted in Sun's stomach at Gladion's touch. As Gladion pulled away and exited the room, Sun allowed his heartbeat to slow. He followed Gladion outside to wait for Hau and his sister to return from their mission. As the two boys stood in silence, a question bubbled into Sun's mind.
"I hope you don't mind me intruding, "Sun began, "But...You knew there was no information on Nebby in there, didn't you?"
Gladion chuckled, "You're not as dense as your sister, are you?"
Sun frowned, "Moon tends to think emotionally. I think more logically."
"I can tell."
"So it's true?"
Gladion nodded, "Null wasn't the only one being engineered and experimented on," he explained, "I could only save Null when I broke in here last time. I promised the others I'd be back to save them. I'm a man of my word."
Sun blushed lightly, but it faded quickly as two Aether Paradise members strolled past Sun and Gladion. The Paradise workers and Gladion glared at each other as they passed by. The hatred in their eyes seemed personal.
"Know them?" Sun asked.
"Not exactly."
There was something Gladion was leaving out-Something he was hiding. And for some reason, Sun wanted unravel the layers. He found himself getting lost examining Gladion's actions, voice, and way with words.
A few minutes later, Moon and Hau rushed towards the boys. Moon looked pale, and allowed Hau to do the talking.
"Nebby is going to die if they open a portal like that!" Gladion growled.
Hau put his hands behind his head, "I know! This is serious!"
Gladion rolled his eyes, "Duh!"
"You are fascinating..." Sun whispered.
The three others he was with gave him a look of confusion.
Sun blushed, "O-Oops. I said that out loud, didn't I?"
Gladion rolled his eyes, "Well let's get going! We have to save Lillie and Nebby!"
